Funny, there was a Google Chrome banner on this page when i hit it.
I suppose it's good news, but it's a bit late. I've had Opera on my Wii for years and never use it. With the number of devices that can display websites, I think that this news would have been exciting a few years ago, but not today.
Plus, I despise IE. I'm a web designer and working with IE is a nightmare.

you know after 9 and soon to 10 versions of the browser you would think that they would of fix that for web designers

I've always wondered why MS hasn't already jumped on this one. If the browser is solid it'll get a ton of usage. The Wii has had Opera forever but being a non-HD system it's tough to use. The PS3 browser is pretty descent I know people who use it a lot.

IE9 isn't bad at all. I pretty much works as expected. But targeting IE6, 7 is a nightmare and some of the JavaScript oddities in IE8 have driven me crazy.

I hate using a browser on something that doesn't have a mouse and keyboard, and browsers I've tried on various consoles (PSP, PS3, Wii) have been really bad. I frankly don't think this news really matters much. And I somehow didn't see the "with Kinect controls" part in the topic title, prepare for the most awkward web browsing ever.
As a web developer, I also have an irrational hatred of IE, though to be honest I have yet to do any testing on IE9, but IE 7 sucks, IE8 sucks and people who still use IE6 are the dumbest people in the world. I can't wait to actually test on IE9 (I can't install it on my work computer so I haven't really bothered), but frankly I have dreams of a world where everyone uses Chrome :P

There's still a lot of CSS3 that IE doesn't support even in IE9. Hopefully they get on board by IE10.
