What would be the ideal way to deal with a digital release that gets its title changed?
Alien Hominid HD (https://vgcollect.com/item/219889) for Xbox One (360 backwards-compatible title) has just been renamed to Alien Hominid 360 on the Xbox store (https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/store/alien-hominid-hd/BQ48FH11C9P2) due to a recently announced new port (https://blog.thebehemoth.com/2023/08/25/alien-hominid-hd-coming-soon-to-modern-platforms/) that will now bear the Alien Hominid HD name.
Would it be appropiate to update the db entry with the new title and add notes about the change?

I believe for digital name changes like that you would use the newer one. When PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds got renamed to "PUBG: Battlegrounds" (name makes no sense, but I digress), I had all the database entries successfully changed to the new name. So, I imagine it would be the same here.
Edit: And the old name would go in the Alt-name field.

If a rename is done, put into description the date when it was changed. For Steam items it is easier to know because they have trackers, idk about other platforms.
