Title: Kaze and the Wild Masks' cover
Post by: ferraroso on October 17, 2023, 08:28:21 pm
Hi everyone.
So, I just got myself a North American copy of Kaze and the Wild Masks for the PS4 and the cover is slightly different from the one on the database. On the middle of the bottom of the cover image, instead of VOX (like the one featured on the VGCollect website), it has the logo for "PixelHIVE".
Should this be considered a variant cover?

What you own isn't a variant item. The PixelHIVE cover is the final design, whereas the VOX cover is outdated stock art. I've not been able to identity any photo or video evidence of the latter, and the front cover art is original to the entry that was made approximately nine months prior to the actual release date. So, the front art will need to be updated.

This is general advice directed at everyone: variant entries should only be submitted if proper research has been done or inquiring about it. Since we permit pre-release stock art which causes more problems than not, it's important to ensure image art entry information is valid.

Thanks
I just scanned my game's cover and updated the entry.
