Title: How to handle „near“ duplicate
Post by: griptriix on November 01, 2023, 02:28:09 pm
Hey everybody,
i just started to use and contribute to VGCollect and have arrived at my first dillema,
i have this PS2 UK version of GTA Vice City (SLES-51061). It seems to match the entry on the site EXCEPT for the barcode, which is 5026555300940 instead of 5026555301008 like on the entry.
I can‘t really find a straight answer on how to handle this. Should i add my version as an independent entry or just add my barcode to the already existing one?

thank you for your answers!

5026555301008 refers to the the version of the game linked below
https://www.ebay.com/itm/GRAND-THEFT-AUTO-VICE-CITY-PS2-/184540362783?_ul=EC

As this is a different version than the one listed I would post it in the error thread so a moderator/Admin can correct it. https://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,12136.0.html

I wouldn't make a barcode edit without posting in the thread unless it was a minor change (Eg. a missing digit)

I've updated UK entry 31611 while submitting a new entry for the general EU regional release.
