Use this thread to post duplicate items in the database so that DB staff can merge or remove the entries.
Post the name of the item that is duplicated, along with the links to each of the items.
Once you have made your post, do not edit it later to add content. Make a new reply if possible or save all of the items you want to post for one post. Editing your post to add new content can cause a problem if a DB admin is actively working in this thread.
After a dupe post has been processed, a DB admin will use the Strikeout text effect on the duplicate links, so that you and we know that the report has been looked at.

Death end re;Quest
https://vgcollect.com/item/160484 - limited edition box moved into miscellaneous category (recent edit)
https://vgcollect.com/item/176362 - to combine with the above - the limited edition box in Europe/UK is the same as the one sold in the US (with the same item number on the box).

Seems I handled the duplicate entry while you were posting about it. I'm not sure why there's a trend for this item to have such varied and incorrect names, especially considering furigana is above the kanji.

Be sure to supply both entries when posting duplicates, which is especially useful due to the several ways Formula 1 can be formatted. Below are the two older entries which deem 260688 and 260689 as duplicates:

Another duplicate, this is a common mistake due to Nintendo's wacky and inconsistent naming scheme with Super Mario Advance. Technically the duplicate is correct based on Nintendo EU's (still up!) GBA manual PDF page (https://www.nintendo.com/en-gb/Support/Game-Boy-Advance/Game-Boy-Advance-manual-and-additional-documents/Game-Boy-Advance-games-manuals/Game-Boy-Advance-games-manuals-928652.html). Several sealed copies with the yellow cover outward-facing have been observed since this entry's creation. You'll need to clarify why these circumstances are invalid for the entries to merge together. If I'm remembering correctly, Atlus has been known to reprint certain games in more recent years, and I believe this game is one example.

The following entry, https://vgcollect.com/item/15577, was the sole entry for Sear's Maze cartridge for the Atari 2600 [N/A], and the database entry only contains the front cover art image and has very little additional identifying information. Currently 44 users have this title in their collection.
I recently added https://vgcollect.com/item/271801 to the database which is the "picture label" version of this game (there are two "text label" versions as well). Upon researching this title, it became obvious that the picture label version of this game is, by far, the most common version of this game. Thus, in my opinion, these two entries are the same. Should these two items be merged? More information needed?

Should these two items be merged? More information needed?
271801 has been merged into 15577 (https://vgcollect.com/item/15577). These are my observations:
1) 49-75112 and 6-99825 as Item Number field information is formatted incorrectly. If you look at both (https://i.imgur.com/woUKBf6.jpeg) spines (https://i.imgur.com/3Y9Lyvl.jpeg), no hyphen is present. Instead, the correct formatting is 4975112 and 699825. Information should not be taken blindly from other database sources without verifying it yourself.
2) As I've mentioned to you in private, we should prioritize outer packaging differences before cartridges differences. For that reason, 15577 (https://vgcollect.com/item/15577) has been updated to Maze (4975112), and 271815 (https://vgcollect.com/item/271815) has been updated to Maze (699825). As you'll see in each of those entry's Description fields, details can be added to clarify the cartridge type.
3) If you are serious about adding an entire category's worth of variants, it comes highly suggested to clean the category beforehand. This means fact-checking each existing entry prior to adding anything new: ensuring entry art is correct, updating entry names, correcting item numbers, and fixing any other general errors or reporting them to staff. At the very least, cleaning up each existing entry by game before adding its variants. While it's a lot of upfront work, it ultimately makes things easier.

Battlezone was a PAL only release in a red box for the Atari 2600 [EU]. Thus the Atari 2600 [NA] entry is a duplicate of the current Atari 2600 [EU] database entry:
https://vgcollect.com/item/57582 (Atari 2600 [NA] entry)
https://vgcollect.com/item/163602 (Atari 2600 [EU] entry)

The following entry is PAL only, "16-in-1" https://vgcollect.com/item/30648. Currently, there is a Atari 2600[EU] database entry already called 16-in-1,
https://vgcollect.com/item/176105.
Unfortunately, this is complicated by the fact that there are many, many let's say "unofficial" PAL 16-in-1 releases from different companies out in the wild, and since https://vgcollect.com/item/176105 has no release data or artwork, it is unclear if the original poster was referring to https://vgcollect.com/item/30648 or one of the many other variants.
My suggested edit is to rename https://vgcollect.com/item/30648 to "Exciting 16 in 1" to reflect the actual title, change the region to Atari 2600 [EU], and let https://vgcollect.com/item/176105 remain as is. Of course, the option to merge the two together is also there, but since someone already claims https://vgcollect.com/item/176105 as part of their collection, that will be a judgment call.

Neither of these sets are examples of duplicate entries, and neither of the highlighted entries belong in a EU category. Certain items released in Québec feature French packaging text exclusively alongside PEGI ratings, so I imagine that is the circumstance for 160429 (https://vgcollect.com/item/160429) and 162190 (https://vgcollect.com/item/162190). The (PEGI rating) descriptors shall remain as general Canadian items for both exist, such as 242002. (https://vgcollect.com/item/242002) which should be prioritized to feature the [CA] TLD. On that note, while there isn't an entry for the general Canada Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition item, it does exist (https://www.ebay.ca/itm/326208912360). Were someone to add it to the database, it too would feature the [CA] TLD.

https://www.vgcollect.com/item/64865 – This entry appears to have the artwork for box and cart from the [N/A] release. It’s hard to tell, but it looks like the copyright on the cart is dated 1988. If this was meant to be a [EU] database entry, then the appropriate box art is a red box. The two possibilites that this entry can be are:
https://vgcollect.com/item/11648 – [NA] release. Copyright 1988. Silver box with a silver cart label.
https://vgcollect.com/item/275000 – [EU] release. Copyright 1988. Red box with a silver cart label.

Both Front and Cart images have been removed from 64865, as they both relate to the NA release. More likely than not, the entry creator meant to submit a EU entry but submitted NA art without paying any attention to the finer details such as copyright year. 275002 (https://vgcollect.com/item/275002) has been merged with 64865. Since all of the original entry art was taken from a grey-colored box variant, that information has been added to the entry.

Apart from the label found on 243148, the back cover text and front cover between these two items vary. Here is an image of the label (https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/la4AAOSwME9mV54u/s-l1600.webp), although the box this label is on is the same art from 113292.

After messaging 243148's entry creator smesgr for help, I was able to identify the differences between it 243148 and 113292. They both have a copyright year of 1982, but one obvious difference is that the P.O. Box numbers in the mailing address vary from another. So, all five Phoenix entries have now been updated.

Correct. It's one of the low print boxed copies sold online as Classic Edition. But it would be need its own descriptor such as (gray box) were it to be submitted, as the "Classic Edition" term is only used in marketing. Here's another eBay link to it showing all six sides of the box (https://www.ebay.com/itm/235794389885).
