Holla everybody,
since it already slid into 25 here in central europe, I wanted to be the 1st to congrat you all for surviving another turbulent year and wish you and your loved ones a happy New Year! 8)
May we all play and discover tons of (new) games this year!

Hope you have a blast.
The first game I play in 2025 will be Final Fantasy IV out of the European Edition of Final Fantasy Anthology for PS1 (which is basically the US SNES version of the game). I'm at hour 65, being grinding mages for the mage-summon drop in magnet cave for 17 hours straight now ^^. Being a fan of long games like this, I always fail the 52 games challenge. At least I progress a bit in my project of finishing my PS1 RPG stack and getting 100% saves into my Memory cards before they rot away (again :'( )...
Besides this I always seek refuge in shorter handheld games. I kind of delevoped a totally new preference to classic shoot em up games in the last few years, and even if am able to beat only a few of them, I like trying to beat my own highscores. Speaking of those - anybody into keeping record of highscores too? I thought maybe some people in here are interrested in some kind of score comparison and competition? 8) kinda miss stuff like this...

Happy new year friend! May you have a happy blessed 2025. As the rest of vg collect! Heres to another year of bowser jumping and stick slapping fun!
The game bringing me into 2025 is hogwarts legacy. Will probably play it after the ball drops. Glorious game :)

First game played this year was Tomb Raider 2 from the remaster collection on PS5.
Next up was some Astrobot. Honestly, the various bots make me smile a bit. Just beat the 3rd world with the Uncharted level, collecting all the characters. It's the closest I'll get to a new Uncharted. *sigh
