Title: computer modifying

i have old compaq from 1995 and its proprietary motherboard has died so my question is it possible to get someone to modify the computer to use a normal motherboard

That all depends on what the back of the case looks like. Can you post a picture of the back of the computer? Most computer manufacturers around that era used custom/proprietary motherboard designs, and the market for replacing them back in 1995 wasn't so saturated like it is now.
