Got a table full of goodies and getting closer to breaking the record of largest game collection.
Going to slowly complete a US retail SNES collection, also got a rare Ps2 game. (if you can call it a game)
And got two games that are fixed versions of games I bought from LRG. Now my NES cant explode. lol
AMIIBO
I had a time figuring out how to get this Amiibo, Gamestop had it on their site but I never saw it open to pre-orders.
No other site had it on their site at all. On released date GS had it open to order but it would always error when I put in my cart.
Finally I got word it was up to order on My Nintendo Store and got an order in. So it looks like this Amiibo is a My Nintendo exclusive.

Time to hit those garage sales and boy I found several boxed consoles, Wii games and Pokemon stuffies.
First was I find a tub full of Pokemon Stuffies for $5 a piece, I asked if they would they take $70 for all of them and they took the deal.
I'm going to hang them around my game room. Not sure any of these are "valuable" just thought they would be neat to display.
Next I ask a lady about anything Video game for sale and she says she has some Mario Legos, I ask to see them and she shows me two Mario sets.
The ones for the Electronic Mario, the Mario one was never used and the other was opened. She wanted $20 apiece for them, I offered $30 for the pair and she was okay with that.
XB360
At another sale I find a single game on a table for $1, When I find decent games for $1 I use them as trade bait.
- Minecraft
I find this for $30 brand new.
- My Arcade Gamestation Pro Atari Retro Video Game System
PS2
I find a Guitar Hero game for $2, only reason I bought this was it came with the dongle.
PS4
I find a stack of PS4 games for $2 a piece.
- Spider-Man
- Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Call of Duty Modern Warfare
- Madden NFL 24
Wii/Wii U
I stop at a sale and ask about video games, the lady says she has some Playstation games and goes to get something, she comes back with a
BOXED Wii U and a HUGE stack of games. :o There was also a small stack of PS4 games, The PS4 games where all Sports games I didn't want.
I put all the Wii/Wii U stuff together and ask what she wanted for it all, she says $70 and I just paid her.

I hit a sale and talk to the lady about video games, she said I think I have a Nintendo. She shows me a really clean SNES with one game.
I ask a price and her adult daughter said $20 and she said she was thinking $50. Then I said How about we meet at $30? and they both agreed.
SNES
- Donkey Kong Country
I stop at a sale and ask the lady about video games and she says she had a something but it was broken. I ask to see what it was and she brings out
two boxed consoles. A ColecoVision with a box that was in really rough shape and a SNES. I look inside the box and see the console and several games.
I asked if she knew what was wrong with them? She said she sold them last year at her garage sale to a kid and he returned them asking for a refund saying
they didn't work. I asked what she wanted for the pair and she said I don't know $10 okay? I'll update this post when I test them.
SNES Games
- Super Mario World
- Super Mario Kart
- Donkey Kong Country
- Tecmo Super Bowl
I stop at a sale and ask about video games and the guy started talking about old video games with me. We talk for awhile then he says he has some stuff.
He brings out a tub full of consoles, cables and other stuff. while there was a lot of consoles he really didn't want to sell the SNES, N64, that was in there.
I thought about offering higher but I didn't need them that bad, not at $60 a system (plus they where in rough shape) But there was one system he would sell
and three GameGear games in there he sold me for $30.
GEN
- Sega Genesis Model 3
GG
- Tempo Jr.
- Mortal Kombat
- Star Trek The Next Generation
After that deal I talk to him some more and he says he has something but he doesn't know if he wants to sell it. I ask him to show me.
He brings out a Box of a NES Action Set (red stripe variant) no console just the box. It was in really nice shape. I didn't have this box.
I show him pics of my collection and tell him I'd love to add it to my display of NES boxes.
I offered $30 for the box and he was fine with that with one condition, I was to send him a pic of his box once I cleaned it up and put it on display.
And yep, once I put the box on my shelf, I sent him a picture. He was happy to see it go to a good home.
I started writing this before I went out to more sales on Saturday. Here's what I picked up on Saturday.
Found a table full of Hallmark ornaments and I see a Legend of Zelda Link ornament for $5.
PS2
I found a table full of games for $1 a piece, unfortunately resellers where there picking out anything good. Most where in really bad shape.
I did see this one that was worth getting for $1 as trade bait.
- WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth
Another sale that had a ton of newer Star Wars and GI Joe toys I found this for $5 hidden with a bunch of board games.
A Tabletop Boxing LCD game from the 80s complete in the box. The system is in like new shape.
Another sale I see a stack of 12 DS games, they where all scrap titles and marked at $2 a piece. I was about to look up my database to see what I
was missing but then just asked the seller, If I bought all of the games would you take $1 a piece? and she was fine with that so I just took them all.
NDS

- TouchMaster 2
- World Championship Poker
- The Quest Trio
- Solitaire Overload
- Clubhouse Games
- Bejeweled Twist
- Crosswords DS
- Mah Jong Quest Expeditions

XB360
As I ask about video games the guy said he had some Xbox games, he went in the house and came out with nothing. He said he took a picture.
I look at the photo and most where sport games, but I saw two I was interested in, he going back in and brings out the two games and said he'd sell them
both for $10.
- Armored Core 4
- Hot Wheels: World's Best Driver
At the very last sale, I walk past a table and I am shocked to see a NES system and 2 games sitting on the table this late in the day.
The price sticker looked like it said $45. The system was very dirty. I was only interested in the games so I asked if he would take $10 for
just the two games? The says I could have it all for $15, I want everything gone. Okay I'll take a chance on it.
NES
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II The Arcade Game
- Double Dragon II

she was fine with it. I tested it and its got a screen issue but works great on the TV.
NDS
At one of the last sale I stopped at I asked about games and the lady said no but her daughter said she had a DS.
She shows me a Rose Pink DS in great shape with the charger and paperwork. She says $20 for it and I pay her.
Tested it and it works great.
I hit a sale and immediately see a table full of PS4 and Xbox One games. (many sealed) I didn't see anything I needed and they where priced $10-$25.
Most I could get online brand new at the prices he had on these games. BUT... I see a CIB 32X game and it was a game I needed. :o
He had $75 on it and market value was about $70. I asked if he'd take $50 for it and he accepted. I asked if he had anything else and he says he had more
32X games. He shows me about 5 games all CIB, and I only see one I needed. He first tells me it sells for over $100 and I look up Price Charting and see
it's market value is about $70, I show him and offer another $50 for it and he accepts. Then i ask what else he has? and OMG he brings out a stack of Genesis, Sega CD and N64 games. But two really stood out. he had Snatcher on Sega CD (manual was in really rough shape) and a loose Stunt Racer 64 on N64.
I Ask what he would take for those two but he said he wanted to look up eBay. :-\ So I look up Price Charting and show him the going values and said I already had these and the best I can offer is about $500 for the pair. (not paying more for trade bait) He said he wanted to keep them and I was fine with it, I really didn't
want to spend that much right now. I was happy to get these to add to my collection.
32X
- Space Harrier
- Zaxxon Motherbase 2000
I see the seller had Pokemon Cards and ask if he had video games for sale, he says wait I have something you might want. He comes back with a box with
and SNES and about 17 games, plus a couple PS1 games, and some GameBoy and GBA games. I ask what he wanted for everything and he wouldn't give me a
price so I offer $100 for everything and he was really happy with that. Here's everything in the box.

I see three handheld systems and over 20 loose games. I ask a price and he said $60 but then started looking at the games and started to
change his mind. Saying he might not want to sell them. I offer $70 if he lets them go and he accepts before he could change his mind again. (scared me)

I went to a local TV mom and pop that has been open since the 50s. They sold my grandfather a Zenith space saver floor model TV way back when my father was like 10. So when he posted on marketplace that he had the exact size of CRT I needed. I fell in love. I can't have a monstrosity anywhere over 30 inches because they weight as much as a small Buick lol. But I also wanted an upgrade to my tiny Sanyo 13 inch TV which is nice but you gotta sit close. This 25 inch Sears LXI with an RCA chassis was built in 1992 and hopefully it can get some love here. I am happy for 50 dollars. He even loaded it into my car. It has a strong tube with great compression. And has AV and even Composite inputs.

MY QUEST FOR PS3 LIBRARY
I am not going for the full American NTSC set. But I am going for all the games I want within that set which basically is everything except bummy sports titles and some corny rpgs. I decided with birthday money to knock off some of the rarer North American Releases. Which are as follows
1. Afrika by Natsume (limited NA print run. Bad sales. Cool concept)
2. Spiderman Shattered Dimensions (niche and beloved causing a demand higher than supply scenario)
3. Class of clans 2g (becoming niche. Small print run. Very small following that may grow. Sealed copy)
4. The Last Guy (Korean International version with English translation very rare in this format)
5. Driver: San Fransisco (for some reason. Even in purgatory it has seen a rise in appreciation and thus price.
Aside from NBA Elite 11 this gives me 3 of the 4 harder to get PS3 games. So as I chip my favorites I won't have to fuss over these later.

Don't worry was there for 3 weeks only dedicated 7 days to game hunting, but when i did I was busy from the early mornings till closing time of them stores to try and visit as many as possible per day.
For me personally while it is satisfying to complete a game with posters, obi's etc nothing beats adding a brand new title to the collection especially higher tier stuff like pulseman or little ralph two excellent titles I've always wanted to play and are really hard to get at deals, the latter making it even more satisfying to cross off the list.

Some more games i bought:
PS1:
- Crash Bandicoot 2
- B-Movie (Invasion from Beyond in the USA, i would actually prefer that title, B-Movie sounds lame, while the other sounds like a sci-fi/horror film title from the 1950's)
- Eagle One Harrier Attack (only bought it to have a case for Silent Bomber, since that game with all inserts, manual, disc - but no original case)
- Silent Bomber
- Final Fantasy IX
PS2:
- Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex
- Final Fantasy X, original release with the Bonus DVD
- Final Fantasy X-2
PS4:
- Star Wars Battlefront (only bought it to have a clean case for WWE 2K19 since that game came in a absolutely disgusting case i threw out, whole game with case was 2 bucks)
My first Final Fantasy games. I only played FF1 and FF7 on emulators, hated both (FF7 massively so, i know that goes against everybodies others opinion) but i'm willing to give that franchise another chance and those copies (complete!) were shockingly cheap. Maybe 9 and 10 make me understand what people see in that franchise...
Crash Bandicoot is also something i'm stunned myself. I got my PS1 in 1997, the PS2 in 2002 and yet, i never got around to buy those two (I got CB1, CB3, the Trilogy remake and CB: It's about Time though) :o
-
I bought the GOTY Forza Horizon 6 (steam)

How is it? I always assumed Tokyo or Japan in general would be such an excellent setting for the game series. I gotta wait for it to come to PS5 like a good boy :(

More of the same, basically. NPCs and your own character are downright ugly, which led to a lot of memes so far. The dialogues in the cutscenes are cringe as always. The Music is atrocious - if you set a game in japan, bring in some japanese music, considering their diverse musical scene but no, we get the same rap mumble garbage (like Lil Nas X) and synth slop as usual. Only one station (Gacha City Radio) has japanese music and it's the worst of their pop music. No visual kai, metal or anything...I pretty much instantly turned off all sounds except the car engine.
The AI in races is all over the place. Wheelspins are nerfed aand that was promoted as a good thing somehow. The progression is still not there, you instantly get supercars. I think Gran Turismo always did that better with buying a cheap, used car and work your way up from the bottom.
And it still has a lot of the same old graphical flaws like the pixelated red smoke on checkpoints
On the positive: the game is optimized and runs on old hardware. My PC can ran it maxed out without any problems (AMD GPU, despite that, Raytracing works perfectly)
The world is definitely a huge, massive improvement over Mexico. Way more interesting and diverse with its biomes and cities.
The car list is big, some interesting new cars, but also a lot of annoying omissions (i miss the A-Team Van)
Overall i'm glad i got it relatively cheap from a key store, it's definitely not worth the full price.

Based on your comment, I don't think you know what mumble rap is. Lil Nas X's song in the game "Light Again!" is a pretty upbeat pop song with hip-hop elements, completely devoid of the slurred or unclear style of delivery that mumble rap is characterized by. In fact, I don't think any of these songs could be classified as mumble rap. Maybe "Super Up" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2vHNHcEDxc)?
On that note, the Gacha City Radio station isn't the only one to feature Japanese music. While it's the only one to exclusively feature Japanese music, several other stations based on this track list (https://forza.fandom.com/wiki/Forza_Horizon_6/Soundtrack) feature music from Japan too. One, I will add, that's centered around rock and metal music. Of course, I'm not here to comment on the quality or diversity of tracks available in the game, but some of what you'd like to have been included is present. And unless music videos are featured in Forza Horizon 6, I don't see how visual kei could be represented.

Damn... this will probably make me prolong or outright not pre-order. Sounds like a wait for a sale kinda game. Esp at 70. To host a Japanese racing game and not tap into the elements of the culture that make the Japan street racing scene iconic is blasphemous.
I was skeptical when Luke Riely for IGN gave it a 10 again. I just instantly knew objectivity left the room which seems to be typical of IGN because I have trouble imagining what exactly can be done new with the formula to transport the franchise enough to have hack to back 10s or if they have any intent to at all change the recipe. I feared it being just more of the same and you seem to have cemented that.
Does it at least focus heavily into Japanese car culture plot wise? Like tuners, drifting, JDMs? Does it allow for more customization like underglow, cherry bombs, roof scoops, tuner spoilers, more body kits and such on JDM cars? I cant imagine a Street racing game.set in Japan without the glory of the street scenes there that defined a good chunk of the 90s car culture. Does it even have drift events or just drift zones?
But I assume based on what you said its still the extremely limited sets of body mods that look factory, street suspension with community liveries over top. 5 spoilers to choose from but 2000 Fortnite emotes lol.
Damn... that's a bummer. I always thought Japan would transport them or inspire them to go wild with lore. At least you got it cheap and are having fun.

Picked up some really cheap JP Gamecube games over the weekend. Recently I've come to realize I've waited too long to collect GC. I have a small collection of stuff from my childhood but it's not that big (I was one of those kids who would always sell my games to EB/Gamestop in order to buy new ones, so I never had a huge collection of games really until I was in Uni and working part time).
So, much like the gameboys, I'll collect JP for GameCube. Picked up Pokemon Colosseum, Mario Kart Double Dash, The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker, and Luigi's Mansion for about $75 after conversion. Pokemon alone would have cost more than that.
-
I will say one thing about jp gamecube. those cardboard sleeves are an absolute sin.
kinda tricky to find clean condition ones. and even in Japan so many cube games are missing them on top of that. I ain't saying it's like regular cardboard boxes but it's getting close :o

You're talking nonsense (probably out of hatred for Microsoft or the game, I don't know) but there are radio stations that play metal like Horizon XS (which plays Babymetal).
There's also Subpop and Horizon Wave, some of whose music is anime or just Japanese style.
Music is a matter of personal taste. I don't like metal or what's offered on Gacha, Block Party or Subpop Radio but the rest is very good.
As for optimization, it's true, it's very very well optimized. People with only 8GB can even play it without any problems.
Regarding the pixelated smoke, that's been around for several games... it was already like that in FH4.
Yes, the characters are ugly, but that's not the main point of the game. Besides, I prefer the FH4 menu and transitions, which were much better and classier.
The FH6 menu is ugly, it looks like an advertisement.
I haven't had many great draws, but progressing to get bracelets is pretty quick.
The game is good, but the problem remains the AI, which is still incredibly overpowered even more so in FH6. It still has no grip, literally speeds up for no reason when it gets close to the finish line, and hardly ever slows down in turns or in mud and puddles. The AI still has excellent mobility and handling, even in the lowest classes. They can overtake you in a C or B class car, it's ridiculous...

Sorry for the late reply. I don't plan on checking in here very often because this forum isn't very active in general.
There's a story centered around a drift club but unfortunately, there's no JDM. The customizations are still quite limited, yes.
The drift club serves as a drift competition, there are also dedicated zones for drift and Horizon Arcade Events where several players come together to take on challenges. These can focus on drifting, speed, chaos etc.

I don't mind them. Sure a lot of them have dinged corners but it's no worse than my average boxed Famicom, Super Famicom, or N64 game.

That they are even comparable to those is my problem. than again prices cheap so all is good i guess, do wish cube had more interesting jap exclusives though.

Yeah I would honestly prefer to collect NA, but I just missed the boat on that so JP it is. When I can get them for 1/2 the price, it's just a no brainer for me.
I probably have like 15-20 NA games back in Canada. I'll sell them when I am back and be up cash + have a bigger collection.
