Title: June 2012 - Recently Added To Collection/Recently Purchased
Post by: disgaeniac on June 01, 2012, 11:34:54 am
Received my six Atelier Mereru LE's in today's mail.

One (my "personal" copy) I promptly ripped-open, checked out the art-book, t-shirt, and OST (which I'll be listening to shortly and plan to put towards the top of my backlog list.

That said, I've always been quite pleased with buying (*usually*, as I did here) 1 copy for myself and 5 "investment" copies...

The *worst* that I've *ever* done on one is to break-even...and...more often than not, a year or so after buying them, they usually get sold for two to three times what I bought them for (and without much effort).

Ha, love that your sig is now filled with 5 of your 6 copies.

HA!

You're right - that *does* look kinda' neat :)

That's just the picture of the game though, not the LE's Box...I'm gonna' try and find/add all of the right pics & info. soon.

Damn Nis for boxes w/ no bar-codes and/or #'s on some of their LE boxes  >:(

I also bot my LE Meruru, though I only got one copy xD

I wanted to take a picture of the GUST games I own around the nice little barrel t-shirt... but I'm missing Neptunia MKII, so it'd be incomplete and whotnot, so I just settled for wearing the shirt instead ;)

Lookie what I got

Not possible? Obviously it's a transfer and a repro, but looks like a legit retail version. I'm keeping it sealed, but you can see the inserts here:

Well, randomly went to the headquarters of evil (EBgames), ended up picking up Raiden Fighter Aces on 360 on the cheap.

A positive side of this is that they had one of those standup cardboard thingies to advertise games, this one for Lollipop Chainsaw, and the guy told me I could get it for free if I came back to get it in mid-August if I got to it before they threw it away... I'll have to remember to do that :P

I know this seems like forever ago, but I don't generally forget important things. :P

I just now got the Harvest Moon Alpaca. I did find out, in watching them on eBay, that the ones given out at E3 that year have a white face and feet, while the pre-order ones were brown, so now I'm keeping an eye out for a cheap white one.

The alpaca ended up costing me $12 (after shipping) and the game was $20, so I only saved $8 vs. buying it new. I guess from now on I'll just pre-order them when they have the toys rather than go through the hassle for months after. But I'm back to saying that I have all the pre-order toys they've ever done again.  ;D

Not many finds at the garage sales this weekend.  I saw a few games, but they were all pretty overpriced (found some $5 NES games, all common).

I did manage to pick up one game:
Legend of Dragoon (PS1 - Greatest Hits version)

I also bought a 'broken' PS2 for just $1.  Hopefully it's a simple repair, but if not I'm only out a buck.

Not games, but I finally got the Kotobukiya 1/10 Mega Man, Proto Man, & Roll. They're custom sanded and painted and look really good. For good measure, I also got Sage Harpuia Harvest WKS. He's fragile as hell but looks badass. I got them for about 25 dollars each, a very fair price

Listed as Like New, but I should've known that it wouldn't be since they used a stock photo.

I was just hoping I was getting a good deal because they were too lazy to take a real photo.  I'll probably try to yell at them a little before I give them feedback - maybe they'll give me a partial refund.  It did have all inserts, but the manual and box were definitely beaten up before they were sent in a bubble mailer (NOT the right packaging for a GBA cardboard case!).

Got my games from Mike @ Collector's Cards and Games today! Everything looks really good, though Street Fighter Alpha 2's seal was ripped and the corner broken (I also could hear the disc flopping around inside). So I compared what I paid for it sealed vs. open copies available online and decided that I saved enough to justify opening it up and doing a case swap on it. Either way, I'm still pleased and now I get to play it! haha

Oh ya, I'm really happy with these. 4 of them were replacements for games that were missing manuals/cases. Soccer 97, NBA Action 98, Scud and Street Fighter Alpha 2 were all new additions. These put me up to 80 Complete Saturn games!

and I got a Xbox 2 Jamma Timerboard and a Jamma harness to hack up to get this running... Still never fixed the bowing of the corners on the CRT (Cap Kit didn't help).

Picked up the Zelda DS Lite yesterday. Local used game store just puts $80 on all their DS Lites, no matter what version. This one has the original gold stylus and the original gold Slot-2 cover, so I couldn't resist. They go for slightly cheaper on eBay sometimes, but they're never complete like this, and it's in almost perfect shape. Put it with my Zelda 3DS to show my Facebook friends and used the same photo, hence the 3DS at the bottom.

Not yet, just got it yesterday, so hopefully I can put some time into it this week. I ended up paying $20 through Walmart.com and free shipping when picking up in store. I figured it wasn't too bad of a price.

Ronalopolis played Afrika a bunch when he first got his copy. It's pretty much a realistic, African, Pokemon Snap. He had a good time with it but it's one of those games that you have to know is not going to be action packed when you get it. I just watched him while playing something on my DS, so I haven't personally played it yet.

Atariboy, nice work on the GC games!  Most of my GSs have shipped them off to some other store to sell but not display on the floor.  Totally unable to browse them and check conditions at the same time... so lame!  I'm more than willing to take some off their hands if it were less trouble to look at them.

I've gotten lucky most GS's in my area carry Gamecube games, I stop in every once in a great while and I find new titles, they say they will not be carrying them much longer and be sides they are buy 2 get one free.

Yeah, all of my stores happened to remove all their GC stock off the floor once that B2G1 started (which was so quietly advertised that when I asked an employee about it she had no idea what I was talking about until she asked a manager).

That's a huge haul Atariboy!  You certainly have a humbling collection.  I thought mine was big until I came across collections like yours.

I went out and hit garage sales again this weekend and had moderate success:

NES - Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle
SNES - Daffy Duck Marvin Missions
N64 - San Francisco Rush (nice CIB)
Wii - Spy Games Elevator Mission (it was $2)
XBox360 - Assassin's Creed, Left 4 Dead 2 ($5 each)
XBox - Worms Forts Under Seige, Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance II <-- Best find of the week.  It's pretty rare.

I also picked up DVDs of Taxi Driver Special Edition and 12 Monkeys for 50ยข each.

The game is actually pretty good. I had low expectations from the demo, but it gets really fun... Though the music can get a bit annoying, and certain elements of level design repeat themselves within levels... but it's pretty tough and overall I'm having a good time with it.

I know, very tempting!  If I had more room to display it properly, I probably would take it out of the packaging to sit next to my pink CC knight.

That sucks!  I'll let you know if I see it go back in stock from the Borderlands shop (that's where I got it from).  Looks like their shipping to Canada would be $10... eBay doesn't have anything going to Canada for cheaper than that?

It's clap-trap, from Borderlands. You're really missing out if you haven't played that game yet, one of my favorites this generation.
Title: Re: June 2012 - Recently Added To Collection/Recently Purchased
Post by: desocietas on June 12, 2012, 01:10:23 pm
Indeed, it's claptrap, a helpful but  annoying robot in Borderlands who serves as an NPC who teaches you a few things early on and helps unlock locations and inventory slots.  They're usually broken (but still talking) when you find them in the game because enemy characters like to use them as target practice.

I both hate and love the lil' fellas, but they're definitely iconic of the game:

Not sure I'll ever take him out of the package, but he does look pretty slick.

How big is that thing and how much was it? I dont know shit about Borderlands but I like silly displays.

I think I got it from Gearbox (the company who made Borderlands) for about $30 total or so.  Here's some nice images on this site (looks like the bandit is about 7" tall for comparison):

Got Gungnir today!  Thank goodness I pre-ordered the game... Apparently none of the Gamestops in town were going to stock the game except for the one that ALL the way on the other side of town (and that was a maybe, not even for certain)... so the other stores only get the pre-order copies.  I was the only one to pre-order at a certain store... and because of that, it took them like half an hour to find the darn game.  But hey, got the game (still sealed, thank goodness they didn't gut it for selling it!) and now I don't have to worry trying to grab it later... unlike the rest of the PSP Sting games.  :p

Did it come w/ any pre-order bonuses/extras?

Also, looking forward to what you think of the game once you get around to playing it :P

Nah, no extras or anything, I just pre-ordered because I was a little worried about finding it since the PSP is pretty dead already in the eyes of gaming stores.

And I'll let you know, though my backog is pretty darn large already, so it'll probably take a while to get around to it.  xD

I picked up a few things today and I did something I haven't done since the N64 release if WWF No Mercy, I placed a pre-order. Actually I only placed it as a present for my wife since she loves the Lego games I bought her Batman 2.

I picked up for myself:
Ping Pals $2
Prey the stars $4
Nintendogs Golden Retriever +cats $10 New
Green Lantern 360 $5 New
Rage Anarchy Edition 360 $10 New
Dungeon Siege III 360 $10 New

Very good day so far and I will be picking up Mario Bros Wii for $15 tonight.

When Gaiages mentioned the Shin Megami games a while back, and mentioned DemiKids, it got me thinking. I didn't have either of the DemiKids games! A GameStop search found that if I could find one that had it in stock, it was WAY cheaper than Amazon or eBay. Well, every time I've gone anywhere, I've searched GameStop's site for the area I was going to...

A little detour from visiting my parents yesterday resulted in getting DemiKids: Dark Version at 75% off their already ridiculous low price. So I paid $1. Another $2.50 got me Yggdra Union and $2.50 for Summon Night: Swordcraft Story. So three Atlus GBA games for $6.

Nice!  It's so hard finding complete GBA games now - most stores just don't carry them as kids don't care about games being CIB.

It's hard finding GBA games period. I asked the guy at the store (it's in a super rural area) and he says there's a gentleman that pre-orders every Atlus game and then resells them shortly after. Then they don't sell until someone like me makes a special trip because they're the only ones that still have them. So they're pristine because they have only had one owner and he obviously cares about them.

Nice!  Actually, that's how I got Demikids: Light Version... Saw it at a Gamestop when they were trying to get rid of GBA games, and I think I paid like $1.50 for it.  I also got Advance Wars and... something... else, I can't remember, that day.  Good old inventory purging! :)

Just picked up Mana Khemia Student Alliance, I know it has load time issues but I don't mind. They aren't really that bad on my psp 3000 with the jump start on. I was dying for a psp game to play and Growlanser is still a month from release so $2.99 for a game I already like and can carry around and play sounded good to me.

The posters were .50 each:

These two are interesting because head office had priced them at $10 each but the guy in charge of selling the fixtures felt they were overpriced so he sold them to us for $2 each
(http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb141/jcalder8/P6150104.jpg)
Now I just need to try and clean them. I'm afraid to try goo gone because I don't know what they are made of.

Did you also play Phantom Brave on the PSP?

If you haven't played Yggdra Union on it, it's pretty damned cheap right now.

Also, Gungnir is now out, and (like you), I've pre-ordered and I'm waiting for/looking forward to Growlanser PSP!

Oh yeah, I just picked Gungnir up yesterday & it has a pretty sweet, reversible cover on it :)

I haven't played Phantom Brave. My friend has it and I thought about borrowing it from her but I have such a huge backlog I should be playing my own games. xD Not sure about Yggdra Union but the other game connected to it, Riviera? I liked that one so I may get it for psp eventually; I think its pretty cheap too now. Sadly my first strategy game was FF Tactics back in the day, and I hated it (I think it loathed me as much as I did it), so I'm leery when it comes to new SRPGs. I'll have to take a serious look at Gungir and see if its something I would be interested in. Thank you for the suggestions. :3

I think I'll put some time in with it over the next week, since the GF will be gone on a family trip. (Yay unrestrained gaming time!)

Also, that Dragon Quest poster is dead sexy!

It was one of my favorite RPGs when I first started playing them, and the art is great.  The different story/timelines were new and intriguing to me as well and something that came back as a flashback when I played Radiant Historia.  I hope you like it too!

Slow weekend for me.  The garage sales were looking promising and I had Friday off so I had a great opportunity to pick up some great deals, unfortunately it was raining all morning, so none of the sales I marked were open.  I was busy Saturday and couldn't go back to see if they were open then.

I did manage to pick up a few things at my local retro gaming store:

Silver Wavebird
PN03 (GC)
Grape Game Boy Color - This leaves the Dandelion (yellow) GBC as the last piece I need in my GBC collection.

And I found one gaming item at a garage sale:
12" Plush Wario for 25ยข ;)

I got a lot of great deals because I would go into shops and buy out most if not all of their mid-high end Saturn/Sega CD games, so most places were willing to work with me. Keio is the most expensive Sega CD game, so I'm really glad to have it checked off of my list. Also, it is such a fun game!!

...and decided to pre-order/pay off a 2nd copy of the game...what the hell...looks like it's "Goodbye PSP RPG's" after it, anyway :(

While I was in there, I picked up a copy of Half Minute Hero for ~ $10...I'd been seeing it for $15...and getting dropped to $10 convinced me to get it...don't really know very much about it, though :P

Let's see... My boyfriend was down in Orlando for the week, and he was able to look around the gaming stores... of course, there wasn't anything around, unfortunately.  He did, however, get a little Bob-Omb toy with candy in it... a nice little thing to add to my 'Mario candy thing' collection... I have all the mushroom colors and the ? block, so yay for something new~

After he got back, we went over to the non-Gamestop game store in our town... we picked up Shadows of the Damned (PS3) for $20, and I grabbed Bomberman Max 2: Red Advance for $5.  The latter, I played the first long ago and enjoyed it... so I'd figure to give the sequel a try.  :)

It sucks ass for sure, but I've always wanted it my collection, don't ask me why. Same reason I have Rockworld and Rockheaven too.

Found Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team DS at a Gamestop for $13 while pre-ordering another game.  I assume it's a decent deal, seeing the used Amazon prices, and it being the first time I've actually seen the game somewhere, so I snatched it up.  Now I need Battle Network 3 and 4... and 6 and 7 too.  xD

Not so much the old collecting, but Ronalopolis got the Collector's Edition of Skyrim (PC) for $60 at Gamestop. That dragon statue is worth the price!!

Then I picked up Pokemon Conquest, seems pretty fun so far. Anyone else grab it?

They had Skyrim at Best Buy the other day for $60 too. I almost bought it, but decided to pass on it.

I also bought a 2nd set (w/the dragon in the *HUGE* box) thinking that, down the road, that CE might be worth more than I bought it for...

I just bought a brand new Tron 2.0 for PC for $3.

Well, ALMOST brand new. The seller insisted on opening the box before selling it to me because she wanted to charge me a different price depending on how many CDs it has. I HATE MEXICANS.

(Yes, I HATE MYSELF TOO.)

I'm very tempted to get Skyrim since it's the same price as the regular edition but with more stuff, but I'm guessing I should go for the PC version (considering that my computer can run Diablo III, I assume it can run Skyrim).

I'll have to see if I can find a Gamestop that carries it, though.  That'll be the hardest part.

I did get my copy of 3D Dot Game Heroes yesterday, though, so another one for the shelf while I'm without a PS3.

Closest shop that has it is 5 miles away (and I don't have a car!)... but dangit I see it's right next to a subway station.  Looks like I'll have to take a little detour after I get off of work...

The most difficult part was figuring out how to get it home without getting robbed.  None of the bags at the store would fit it, so the only thing we could think of was to take off the slip cover and carry that in a bag (which also wasn't big enough).  If I'd known, I would've brought a black garbage bag or something...   :-[

When the assistant went to get the game, I thought maybe they were hiding them behind the cardboard display cubes.  Little did I know that the cubes WERE THE GAMES.

Oh, but Scott, maybe you or someone else can help me figure this out: is the map that was included in the Collector's edition of Skyrim the same map that was given with pre-orders?  The internet's not making it very clear.

I was under the impression that the map that came with preorders was cloth. But, when I got mine if was stiff like paper and folded up in the box. It just looks like fancy textured paper to me. Is the one in that box actually fabric?

I think the one in the CE is also fancy textured paper as far as I can see online (I haven't actually unboxed mine yet).  This leads me to believe they're the same map, then.  Sucks that they're not cloth!  I think a lot of people preordered because they thought it was going to be cloth and/or nicer than the CE map.

Ronalopolis said as we were leaving the store that the only time he's ever gotten a bigger game box was with Steel Battalion. And ours was in a big outdoor mall, so we had to lug it all the way back to the parking garage in this insane heat. It says $99, but I hope you were able to get it for the $60 we did.

The big red letters there say "Splatterhouse" and then the little part in the banner is where it says "Wanpaku Graffiti". Do you know which one it was actually known by in Japan? I'm honestly guessing that there was another Splatterhouse game (maybe not for Famicom?) before this one, hence the subtitle. I don't know anything about Splatterhouse, so this is just guessing.

(Scott and Soera's translation project has me over-analyzing all the Japanese I see lately, ha!)

It is actually the second game in the Splatterhouse serie, thus the big red letter saying Splatterhouse, and the smaller ones saying Wanpaku Graffiti, which is actually the subtitle.

When the assistant went to get the game, I thought maybe they were hiding them behind the cardboard display cubes.  Little did I know that the cubes WERE THE GAMES.

That *IS* funny  ;D

...In a "Not laughing *AT* you but laughing *WITH* you kind of way" :P

Actually, for some reason, the whole thing with "it's *NOT* behind the cube...OMG...It *IS* the cube" thing brings to mind an (admittedly, somewhat old & vague) funny memory/story from when I was 8 or 9 years old...and my mother & father had brought me & Melissa (my little sister/14 months younger than me) to Disney World in Orlando, Forida for a week or two vacation...

We were all on the beach and this beach had these huge & Gigantic rocks scattered all over it.

Me & my sister were in the water, and my mother decided to get my dad to pose while he was standing on top of the *biggest* rock of the bunch...

So, my sister and I had just come in from the water and gathered around our mother.
My mother was doing (*one of those things that she *Really* excels at*)..."Directing" my father about how he should be going about finding & striking the *Optimal* pose...*AND*...my dad was doing one of those things that *HE* excelled at (getting *very* tired and *very* quickly annoyed, fed-up, and aggravated) by my mom's "directing" (read: "micro-managing)...

When...finally...he'd managed to twist & contort his body in a manner that was deemed acceptable by my mother -

He held his pose,

She aimed & got ready to 'snap' the shot,

and...

   ...

      ...

*The rock that he was standing on started *walking* away*...with my dad still standing on it XD

Yep...If you haven't figured it out yet...the "rock" was (unknown to all of us, obviously) actually a *GIGANTIC* land/sea turtle!!!

Anyways...don't know why I 'associated' the whole "it's not *behind* the cubes...it *is* the cube" thing w/ this --but-- I did, and I thought that it was funny enough to write about it :)

Master's classes have been sorta kicking my butt this summer (first semester back to school after almost a decade). So I haven't had a lot of time to do any gaming or anything but read textbooks and write papers. (Avoiding some of that right now, actually...)

So I haven't read through a ton of it yet, mostly just the Demon Guide in the back. I'm playing through the first Persona on the PSP right now, I'd guess maybe halfway through? Then Innocent Sin is next, so we'll see how much of the guide I can actually use then. The dust cover on it is way cool though!

I got a copy of Suikoden II today. I found it at a Movie Trading Company for $99.99, but used my 25% off coupon (the item I bought which came with 4 of those coupons only costed $20, so I'm on the green there!) It ended up being $81 with tax instead of $108. It's also a better price then you could get on eBay without a lot of work and luck, so I am happy.

It's been a while, but I bought stuff today!

I tried a new-ish flea market that had nothing... I ended up picking up an original Xbox, boxed, with 4 games, 3 of which were madden (ugh).... just to not leave with nothing.

I tried another new flea market... and there was nothing there... literally, it was an empty parking space.

So I went to my "go to" reseller and picked up a few things. Ardy Lightfoot on SNES, Windjammers on the MVS (that's one off my wishlist :D), Dead or Alive Xtreme Volleyball 2 (got it for the physics engine...) and some guys in a podcast I listen to have been really propping up Sniper Elite V2 so I picked it up too (for less than half the price it usually goes for.... crazy since it's a NEW game).

I hit quite a few garage sales/flea-markets yesterday...but, unfortunately, pretty much came out empty-handed as far as any "good" game buys went :(

I *did* encounter several 'games' that I was totally unfamiliar with - they came in CD cases (same size & shape as single-disc PS1 games)...but...they *WEREN'T* PS1 games.

They were simply labeled as "CD ROM" games.

I guess that this would just make them older PC games then; right?

If so, are any of these rare, sought-after, collectible, or worth anything???

While I had no gaming-love this weekend - I *DID* find & buy this *Super* COOL Collector's-Edition of Walt Disney's *FANTASIA* for $5  ;)

My copy of 3D Dot Game Heroes came in the mail on Friday! I haven't loaded it up yet though, since I had to move most of my stuff to my folks for the next 2 weeks thanks to dog watching duty.

Also, thanks to Soera, I now own Dragon Warrior VII. I asked him to keep an eye out for it, in case he saw any deals. And he found one Vintage Stock was selling at the OVGE show last weekend. Picked it up for me and mailed it out and everything looks like it's in great shape! The best part of the deal is it was $20-25 less than anything I had seen on Amazon or eBay for a CiB copy.

And finally, I ordered up the 4 NECA Castlevania action figures from Amazon yesterday as a little bday present to myself. Amazon was selling them themselves, rather than a seller and because it was from Amazon I was able to snag free 2 day shipping via a Amazon Prime free trail. (woot woot)

After forgetting to pre-order a copy of Pokemon Conquest, and after calling a bunch of local stores (only to be repeatedly told that *NOBODY* (that didn't pre-order it) would be finding/getting any copies of it anywhere)...

...I happened to be doing some running around - and I found myself near a Best Buy.
Now, where I live, Best Buy is the last place you'd *ever* expect to luck-out/find a game at.

Walked in, after looking around for a few minutes, I had to wipe my eyes (to make sure I wasn't seeing things :)
...then, I realized that I was indeed looking at the *ONE* copy of the game that they had  ;D

I paid for it and walked out of the door w/ a big smile on my face  ;)

Now, w/ my overwhelming backlog...actually getting around to/finding the time to play it will be another thing entirely!

That's crazy, actually. I walked in to Wal-Mart on Tuesday and walked out with it for $30. Then they had it at Target and at Best Buy at the same shopping area. This was in a really posh area of Columbus that usually sells out of things if anyone does.

Heh - sounds like we both were in the "gaming-twilight zones" of our respective areas  :o

Did the places that had the game have many copies of it?

The Wal-Mart had probably 15 copies on the shelf. I didn't look behind the display game at Target, so I can't say for sure. And Best Buy probably had 5-6 on the end cap where I saw it, but they usually tuck more in alphabetically too and I didn't look there. So a decent number of them everywhere.

I've seen it in our local Meijer and Wal-Mart since then too, but the town I live in doesn't have a lot of gamers. I can usually get things for days after everyone else says they're sold out.

Is it true that there were pre-order passwords to unlocking certain characters?  http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/30294 (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/30294) claims they are universal, which means if any of you preordered... and got the passwords... you could pass them to us at some point ;)

UPDATE: Oh, I should've done a bit more Googling.  Here ya go: http://www.serebii.net/conquest/passwords.shtml

Yeah, I got that list pretty quickly. You do have to get through so many kingdoms before they'll work and supposedly they'll only appear for one month, and the code is one time use. Point is, don't put all the codes in at once, put one in for each game month or you'll miss cool stuff.

And with most of these, you still will have characters in your party that will have these Pokemon, whether or not you have the code. It's just linking with the wild Pokemon so that YOU can have them in YOUR party. (For example, I've got people under me that have Panpour, Pansage, and Pansear already.)

Picked up a broken Light blue DS light. It looks like it could just be the fuse so I am going to try a fix that I found online, if I mess it up it only cost me $3.

Also picked up a Game & Watch game, Oil Panic. I think I did ok for a buck :D

My wife found a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii at a garage sale for $5.  That is a steal for that game and we've been hunting around at game stores trying to find it for under $30.

I also picked up a PSOne console for $4.  Been trying to get a good deal on one for a while now.

Oh yeah, and I picked up Back to the Future II & III (NES) at a garage sale too.

I received some more Saturn stuff in the mail, I'm excited to play play these.

A new stunner gun still in the plasitic, can't believe it's 17 years old from the condition of everything.  And, a Nights into Dreams box w/3d control pad in very good condition.  The box is no longer sealed but everything inside still is.

A few new games as well, Warcraft is sealed but since it's my only copy it'll get opened soon

Not a game, but gaming related. Here are the Castlevania figures from NECA. Once I'm home again, I'll be pulling them from the packaging and setting them up on the shelving unit. Of course, I'll be saving the packaging in the storage closet.

Honestly only played the first stage of the first one, but considering that they're both considered very good and are still relatively inexpensive, I thought, "Why not?"

Bought this repo sign off Ebay:

It looks awesome on my display cabinet!

Lastly I bought this little beauty off Ebay:

What does it contain?

Looks like it's the same as the dumped version but it's still my first unreleased game:

So, a little bit back I saw a pretty good deal on the Growlancer: Generations Deluxe Edition.  After shipping it was around $42 for Like New condition, but we were worried because other dealers were putting up the 'game only' in the deluxe edition... we bit anyway.  It came in the mail today, and it was SEALED.  There was a small dent in the box, but holy crap, was I happy.  Obviously, it came with everything, including the watch and whatnot.  :3  The Power Ring came with three yellow jewels (it's kinda random what jewels you get in it), so it doesn't look funny either!  I feel a little bad about opening it, though. :(

It was $150 after shipping, which was my limit on it, so I was happy not to get outbid at the last second.

Not much again this week at the garage sales.  I picked up some cheap common games for $1-$2 each:

Cold Fear & Crimson Skies (Xbox)
Friends Trivia (PS2 - yeah, I know.  But it was a buck and I love Friends)
Super Black Bass (SNES - CIB).

The best haul of the day was a box of 53 assorted black NES dust sleeves, which I got for $7.  You don't run across stuff like this very often and I have about that many 'naked' NES carts in my collection, so that was a great find.

The day didn't start-off all that great for me (being 100+ degrees *AGAIN*, with, of course, 100% Humidity *Again*...certainly *not* doing anything to improve/help my mood & temper this morning...however, on the "PLUS" 'Side', my little sister (by 14 months) came to spend the weekend at my house - bringing along my 8 month-old & *Unbelievably*
*A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E*

...little niece, Haley  ;D
has gone a long way towards improving the tone/mood of my weekend
(I don't see them as often as I'd like since it's ~100 miles from my house to hers).

At any rate, me & Melissa (aka: "Little-Sis") hit almost 10 garage sales in that God damned heat & humidity late this morning; w/o either one of us finding/buying anything that could possibly even be honestly assesed/considered as "above average" in the least)
 >:(

However, helping to make the day not 100% *entirely* full of nothing but *FAIL* and *SUCK-age*...
...when we got back to my house, I found that...

I'd just received my (pre-ordered) copies of the Record of Agarest War 2 LE's in today's mail!

 8)

So (unless I'm forgetting something - which is *entirely* possible :P
...all that I should still have *Pending* at the moment should be:

(1). the Trinity Universe Giclee (which I've already received my "Shipping Confirmation" from NISA for)...I'm expecting it to arrive by Monday or Tuesday (at the latest)

*AND*

(2).  the 2 copies of Growlanser IV: The Wayfarer of Time that I pre-ordered which are scheduled (the last that I've heard, at least) to be releasing on the 25th-26th of this month  ;D

So, what, if anything, do the rest of you guys have pre-ordered, "pending", and/or 'still-waiting-for', etc?

I just preordered The Last Story through Newegg since they had a $12 off preorder offer for me and will then switch my TLS preorder I'd originally made with GS to a Borderlands 2 preorder.  I probably won't get the vault edition as I don't really have space for it (and the loot edition is all gone, I believe).  Apparently GS has an exclusive "dome" addition for all preorders, in addition the mechromancer, etc. stuff.

I never preorder anything really, so it must mean something that I'm preordering now... (probably just the goodies!)

Decided to go to Gamestop & "Mix 'n' Match" some of the B2G1's...

*Everything* was B2G1  :D

So, I got:

(1).  "WET" (PS3)/C.I.B.,
(2).  "Front Mission: Evolved" (PS3).C.I.B.,
(3).  "El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron" (PS3)/NEW,
(4).  "Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly" (PS2).C.I.B. - forgot that I already had a copy of this one  :o
(5).  "Pokemon Rangers: Shadows of Almia" (DS)/C.I.B.

~$35 for the 5 games...

I had been debating between the two. The U.S. version box has these creepy versions of the boys (Pyro Jack, Jack Frost, and Jack Skeleton) but I've been trying to get the U.S. releases of every Megami game if they've been released here. Problem is, it's around $175 on eBay, cart only.

The Japanese version has the adorable Jack Frost we know and love on the box/cart, and the subtitle text on the box reads "Hee-ho at the Labyrinth!" which is pretty much fantastic. Today the best price I've ever seen popped up on a Buy It Now (gotta love those custom search notifications), and it was complete besides. So I went ahead and sorta broke my rule about the versions I'm getting. I figure at this point I just want to PLAY it, and then when it comes back around to being the only one I need, I'll worry about it again. Shipping and everything is going to be less than $50, so I figure that getting it for almost a quarter of the price, and complete, makes it worth making the exception.

Now I've just gotta wait for it to be shipped from Japan...

(probably just the goodies!)

...DON'T forget to double-check those sizes/dimensions of those LE's *BEFORE* riding off on your bicycle to pick them up XD!

Ha, seriously.  Thankfully the GS I preordered with is next door to my work, so if decide to cave and get the vault edition (who knows how big it is), I'll have a place to store it.
