I can't imagine how much Disney is paying to use all of those characters....
Regardless however much it is, it's probably pocket change to the Disney corporation haha. They even own the rights to Spider-Man now don't they? (unless I heard wrong)

This movie reminds me of the CGI tv show called Game Over (Anybody else remember it?).

I wonder what they will do with the video game adaption of the movie.
according to disney interactive and activision it will be a "arcade style side scrolling game" and will serve as a "story extension" for the film and will only be available on nintendo consoles

I really dug it, and I'm prolly going to go see it again soonish. There were tons of cameos too, but I think the only Nintendo character I saw was Bowser. The only problem I had with the movie was that there was no 2D showings, except 1 at 3:30pm. So I had to watch it in 3D, which was cool and all, but I ended up with a headache near the end.

I had planned on seeing it on Friday but since they were all in 3D I had to pass.

Holycrapthismoviewasawesome! Seriously liked it. My biggest fear about the movie was that it was just an excuse to pile on the gaming references, but for the most part (IE everything other than the beginning) the references took a back seat and let all the main characters shine, and they were all really fun... I mean, the most important old game character in the movie was Q-Bert. And in the end I loved the characters and the story and the style and even the nostalgia from seeing the still functional-arcade :P (there haven't been any arcades here since... 12 years I think)
... my favorite part was the really sad moment (you know the one)... because all the kids in the theater started crying and I couldn't hold back the evil laughter :P
