Can anyone find a scan of Mega Man 2 that doesn't have the red stripe in the lower left corner?

I don't think it exists, I have not found box art yet without it.

I've never seen another one. Even this old list doesn't mention is but does say that Mega Man 3 had a box variant:

Hopefully as this forum pulls in more collectors we can figure out some more details on it.

Do you have both that and the Red Stripe box? might be worth doing a look over to see if there are text variations.

I know this is a bump. Having a friend who's an avid Megaman collector i had to show him. He's never seen one and was really intrigued. First question was "How much?" and I said that's what I wanted to know.

When the promo was over for Megaman 3, they left the stripe but took away the text. Like so :



So I have no idea what this is and what it's worth. Interesting piece though.
