I'll continue to post any odd listing problems I find in here that don't fall under the other postings.
1. Mother 3 for GBA [NA] should be removed because it's a Japanese game
2. The listing for Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones [GBA] has totally wrong artwork.
3. The inclusion of games that were canceled doesn't make sense to me. If they were never released, how can you have them in your collection?
-
1. Agreed. I'll edit it. - DONE
2. I'll correct this. - DONE
3. Agreed. One of the lists I compiled had a few of these. I'll try to do a search and remove them. - DONE
-
4. Freedom Fighters for PS2 [NA] art just has a box that says "Freedom Fighters Box Art"
5. GALIDOR: Defenders of the Outer Dimension [Cancell PS2 [NA] needs to be removed - DONE
6. The artwork for Spiderman PS2 [NA] is teeny-tiny
7. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon PS2 [NA] also has tiny artwork
-
8. Gunsmoke for NES technically should be listed as Gun.smoke, but I'll leave that decision up to you. - DONE
-
Ya it needs to be changed. Feel free to edit it up. :)
-
9. Artwork for Super Mario Galaxy [Wii] is wrong. I'll get around to submitting the actual picture today hopefully. - FIXED
10. Same thing with New Super Mario Bros. [Wii] unless that's the sleeve that the game came in with the bundle pack. If that is the case, the listing needs to be edited to reflect that. I'll create a new listing for the retail game in the meantime. - FIXED

Go ahead and edit New Super Mario Bros Wii instead of adding a new one. A few users already have it in their collection and I don't want to mess up their details. Thanks!

Artwork for Heavy Barrel [NES] has vanished. I'm sure it was there before, since I submitted it...
-
@tpugmire Go to the listing again...and wait about 2 seconds. :)
-
Ha ya.. they rotate out now. :)
-
11. The artwork for The Legend of Zelda [NES] is screwed up. On the main list, it's fine, but inside the listing is when it gets weird.
EDIT - I wonder if it has something to do with firefox? The listing seems to be fine in internet explorer...
-
Sometimes when I load up a game page, it shows it really small and odd looking. Then I refresh and it's fine. It may be a cache issue. I am on FF as well.
-
Next time you guys see this, try to screen shot it for me.
-
The category for PC Engine CD needs to be renamed. Currently its PCEngine CD
-
fixed.

I Just submitted an edit for Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. The problem is I edited the PS2 version and I put info in for the XBOX version. Hopefully you can stop the edit on the PS2 version and I will input info for XBOX. Sorry about the error, guess that's what happen when you edit too many games they all start looking the same. lol

Ha, yeah man. But, you're really killing the edits and submissions! Keep it up. :D
-
Will do, Just doing my part. lol
-
Edit - Fixed
-
Yeah I noticed this too. I must have broken the import. :/ I'll be fixing them as I come across them too.
-
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas [AO] Version has the wrong artwork.
-
http://vgcollect.com/item/5405 (Fixed-Scott)
This has the wrong cartridge artwork
http://vgcollect.com/item/6038 (Fixed-Scott)
But this one needs it
-
@tpugmire I fixed artwork for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas [AO] Version.
-
Atari Lynx Checkered Flag and Pit Fighter have the box art set as something other than the front.
-
@pceslayer I fixed Checkered Flag and Pit Fighter. Also fixed name for Pit-Fighter.
-
There are three duplicate entries for Metal Gear Solid - Playstation:
http://vgcollect.com/item/6978
http://vgcollect.com/item/6979
http://vgcollect.com/item/10780
Item 10780 is complete, the others are bad, but 6978 says there are 2 people that have the game. So be careful about deleting.
there are 2 duplicate entries for Metal Gear Solid - VR Missions
http://vgcollect.com/item/6976
http://vgcollect.com/item/6977
Item 6977 is incomplete, and does not appear to be in anyone collection. It can be deleted.
-
@als Thanks for reporting these. We'll try to have them cleaned up by the end of the day.
-
I don't know if we need to delete any of those, each one has a different item number and if that is the case then we need to keep them as is, wouldn't you agree? or are we going to list all item #'s under one listing?
-
The original MGS was on 3 disks which would explain the 3 separate listings. Each disk has it's own item number so we will need to merge those into a single listing. I'm not sure about VR Missions. I remember that as being only a single disk.
-
VR Missions was only a single disc, but there was a Greatest Hits version too.
-
I finally got the SNES [NA] category fixed, all listings are updated and correct.

MGS was 2 Discs.
Metal Gear Solid: Integral was 3 discs though. It included the VR missions, but was a Japan only release.

You sir, are a saint. Awesome work.
-
@pceslayer Right. I'm not sure why I didn't catch this before.

SLUS-00594/00776 is what is printed on the case of the non greatest hits version
-
There is a dupe of Spy vs Spy and Wonder Boy in Monster Land in the Sega Master System [NA] listing

I was going to start on the other regions, since they are screwed up as well, but I don't know enough about foreign releases to tell what is good and bad. Anyone more knowledgeable than me want to take a crack at it?
-
Took care of the duplicate listings of Spy vs Spy and Wonder Boy in Monster Land in the Sega Master System [NA] listing. Thanks for the info pceslayer.

2-in-1 Super Spike V'Ball/World Cup Soccer should be merged into Super Spike V'Ball / Nintendo World Cup in Nintendo Entertainment System [US]

Fixed
-
in Nintendo Entertainment System [US]...
Eight eyes should be merged with 8 eyes
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom should be merged with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (Tengen) and renamed to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (Tengen - Black Cartridge)
Kings Quest 5 should be merged into King's Quest V
Klax and Klax (Tengen) should be merged into Klax (Tengen - Black Cartridge)
Sesame Street: ABC / 123 should be merged with Seaseme Street ABC & 123 and renamed to Sesame Street: ABC & 123
Super Dodgeball should be merged with Super Dodge Ball
Exodus Ultima should be merged with Ultima: Exodus

Actually... I'm pretty sure that game saw 2 releases in the same year. One in a normal grey cart, and another in a Tengen cart. Both were the same game, but in different cartridges. We might have to confirm this though.
Kinda like how there were 2 Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade games on the NES with nearly identical covers (but both games were different in that case).
-
The date on the model 2 Saturn http://vgcollect.com/item/14524 are listing the release month as 4, where games are using the name of the month, this one being April. Seems to be the same for all Hardware entries.

--------------------------------
RBI Baseball, Gauntlet, and Pacman are the only 3 licensed Tengen carts.
*EDIT*
You are correct... Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom published by mindscape is the other game
-
Ok, I got all the NES edits done that pceslayer saw except for the Indiana Jones one. I'm still not exactly sure what I need to do now...
-
Looks like the list of N-Gage games has the name of the Developer in the titles of most of the entries. I'll work on merging as many as I can, after I'm done making sure "the" is in the right place on titles. haha
-
aaaand games with The in the title should now properly follow the Style Guide.
-
Just noticed that the cartridge art for Bionic Commando (Round Seal), shows the oval seal version. It just needs to be moved to the correct listing. It's beyond my powers to do this, otherwise I would.
-
I don't think there is a power to move art... I guess if you see something that's in the wrong spot, save it and submit the art to the correct listing. Then we'll have to delete the cart image from the database, or find a scan of the proper one. Damn Nintendo variants! haha
-
Matt has moved artwork before, so I'm sure it's something he can do on the programming side. I found another one though. The box art for the Nintendo 64 (Pokemon Edition) looks to be for a different listing, while the loose item art is correct.
-
https://vgcollect.com/item/215012 is an extra unrequired entry that is missing info. This entry appears twice, the complete one shows what the bonus disc looks like and explains it better in the description.
