This entry was created a few days ago, and it didn't look right to me. I've done a lot of searching and I can't find any indication that it exists. The only thing I can find is that apparently, there was a minor variant of the end part of the label. The older labels are yellow, and the newer ones are a butterscotch color. There's no mention of gold labels except the one on the back. Anyone know about this?

Ya I saw that update too, Originally I'd not found any info on a Gold Label either. I did find this from digitpress though, confirming that there are only 2 label variations. http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32186

Yeah, that's the same article I found about the 2 colors, but neither is gold. I just looked at my copy and it is the darker of the two. It sort of looks gold-ish, but I wouldn't call it gold.

I'll have to look at mine when I get home. I wish I still had my original copy, then I could take a better guess as to if the Nintendo Power version was one color or the other. :|

Looks like mine is of the Butterscotch flavor.
-
I updated both Dragon Warrior entries.

There are actually 3 end label colors for dragon warrior. I had them all at one point but since traded them or I'd snap a photo.
-
What is the third color?

What is the third color?
Ya everything I've found only mentions either Yellow or Mustard/Butterscotch. With Mustard and Butterscotch being interchangeable.
-
Yay! Found it...

Oh hey. Now I feel bad for converting this entry to the butterscotch label...
-
I reverted this back to Dragon Warrior (Gold Label) and made a new Dragon Warrior (Butterscotch Label) entry.

Funny thing. I only just heard about this label variation from this website. Never seen anything about it before. In doing my own research it seems like the yellow label is the version that came with the Nintendo Power subscription ages ago along with a few extras. Hopefully that helps a little.
I'm not going to concern myself with collecting all 3 since it's just a rerelease of the title (basically a second printing) with no data changed or updated on the ROM and the original Yellow version has all the cool extras (which I already own).
Nice bit of information, if not a weird bit of trivia from the early days of Nintendo.

If you guys are still on this site here is the Real gold label, not the best pic but the only one i could find.
