RPGs, though I lean more toward JRPGs.

I think the only games I'm not a fan of is Sports.

But i have to say some of my favorites are...
- RPG's (all kinds)
- Action/adventure
- Survival Horror
- Shooters
- Arcade
- Strategy
- 2D Classic Platformers

I don't really have a favorite genre, per se.   I just like games that I don't have to think too much. Call me soft in the head, but I think all day; and sometimes I just want to check my brain at the door.

Some of the favorites are
Action
Run 'n' Gun
Platformers
Arcade type Beat 'Em Ups
FPS (Single Player Offline where no one has slept with my mom)
Sports games (Tiger Woods, NCAA Football, NBA)

I think that's it. I play pretty much anything other than strategy an RPG. I want to like RPGs, I just don't have the time. If I had 3 hours to myself a night, I might be able to play one.

Survival Horror
Stealthy Action games (MGS, for example)
2/2.5D Action Platformers (Contra, etc)
RPGS (Always liked JRPGS, but leaning more towards the western style these days)
Puzzle (Puyo Pop is my fav)
SHUMPS

There are a lot of games from every genre that I like.  However if I had to choose favorites. 

Shoot'em ups
Beat'em ups
RPG's (any flavor)
Fighting
Racing
Action/Adventure/Platformer.
Survival Horror

RPG, specially Strategic and J-Turn Based, but I like action RPGs like Mana series and Dragon Age Style.

After this fighting 2D games, platformers, SHMUPs and Racing.

I just don't like sports in general, except Mario sports series that I love so much.

JRPG

With the PS4 supporting indie devs more. I really hope to see more classic JRPGs, maybe a renaissance of them or something. If i knew how to make games, I would make one for PS4.

I guess I'm the lone ranger when I say rhythm games (Rock Band, DDR, Bust a Groove, Rhythm Heaven Fever), but I find them so fascinating.

I listed them. Me and you have similar tastes in genre. The only thing is you list RPG and I list strategy...  8)
