It happens on all message boards. The mods just have to be quick about deleting threads and accounts, and they'll go away after a bit of time. I'm a mod on a comic message board, and that's about all you can do, but they do give up and go elsewhere after a little bit.

It is likely an issue that will probably grow with time too....  The more popular a forum gets, the more frequent the spammers' attacks....
