Title: VG Ringtone Help

I need some help:

For the last month or so, my incoming text notification has been the baby metroid sound from Super Metroid.  I think it's cute, but as I am told from pretty much everyone, it is a really annoying sound.

So I need some new ideas for notification sounds: 

• Something VG related
• Short (less than 3 seconds)
• Something I wouldn't mind hearing 20-30 times a day, sometimes in quick succession
• Something that won't irritate other folks
• BONUS POINTS FOR:
• Something that the uninitiated won't recognize.  Mario jumping is a no-no
• Links to the wav or mp3 versions of said sounds

I'm a fan of the Metal Gear Solid alert noise but I know a lot of people use that.

My text message tone is the Pokemon Center Healing sound. I usually use Audacity to record my sounds to my PC and then drop them onto the phone.

Excellent suggestions, and for now I'm going with "Leene's Bell" from Chrono Trigger.  It's almost TOO nondescript, but it makes me smile when I hear it, which was the desired effect.

Usually when I'm using game songs for my text message, I also go all out and set up my ringtone and email alert tone to the same theme. Currently, I'm set up with:

Incoming Call Ringtone: Title theme from Pokemon Red/Blue (GB)
Text Message: PokeCenter Healing sound from Pokemon Platinum (DS)
Email Alert: Pokemon Catch Success song from Pokemon Platinum (DS)

before that it was:

Incoming Call Ringtone: Bloody Tears from Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (NES)
Text Message: Player Death song from Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (NES)
Email Alert: Level Beaten song from Castlevania (NES)

I'm about ready to change it up again, but I'm not sure what I want to go with.
