Rampage is the best game on the system... for 10 min. It's really fun, but it was an arcade game. It was meant to eat your quarters and then you move on. It is great in short burst. It's the one I play the most though.

Yeah, if he wants to blow over a $100 on a game. You can play the game for much cheaper on the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, as an unlockable. Plus you get a ton of other great games.

I personally really like Cloud Master. It's an early side-scrolling shoot-em up with a very Chinese flavor to the enemies and settings. (And it's affordable)

I may get some hate, but I prefer Sonic 1 on SMS more than Sonic 1 on Genesis or Super Mario Bros 1 on NES. I do prefer Sonic 2 and Mario 3 over it though. In short, it is one of the best platformers from the 8-bit generation. And platformers were the flagship titles of that era.
