Welcome to February, 2014! I know I slacked a lot on doing the Stats posts last year and I've promised to make sure to keep on the ball this year.
It's time for January's Stats! We've made some big changes to the site and hit some good milestones in our birthday month, and one of which we already shared with everyone. We are now tracking over 700,000 items across all collections! There's a lot to be excited about and I know I'm super hyped for the site.
But, enough talk, have at you!
Users
In January we saw a total of 486 new users join the site. This brings us up to 13,610 members! Welcome to the VGCollect community folks!
- Total Registered Users: 13,610
- New Users: 486
- Daily Average: 16
Items
The growth in the database continues as we added another 1,438 items to the site over the course of January.
Now you might be wondering; "If we hit 50k last month, how come we are only at 51.3k, if we added over 1400 item's?".
Well, considering that we've had to merge and delete duplicate items and have been doing general clean up, the numbers don't line up. At the end of 2013 we did indeed have 50k items listed, but due to the dupes the number is slightly skewed. Still, 1438 items added is a impressive number and we haven't hit a total that high since May of last year. Nice work!
Speaking of nice work, in January we saw a total of 3,760 edits done to items in the database! Again, the highest number we've seen since last May. Very impressive!

- Daily Average Edits: 121
Collections
In the last month we saw a total of 41,421 items added to user's collections, with an average of 1,336 items added to collections per day! That number blows my mind. With these additions, we broke the 700k mark, with 727,286 items across all collections listed on VGCollect! Amazing!
The wishlist is growing constantly as well and currently it's sitting at 75,370 items, I find it neat that it's a little over 10% of the collection total. This month we saw a record with 9,457 items added to wishlists, breaking April, 2013's total of 7,629.
Again the Sell List is the weakest total of the Stats. In January we saw 125 items put of for Trade/Sale on the Sell List. Brining the total of items up for sale up to 4,373. What's neat is that this is only an increase of 49 items over last month's total. Which means it looks like the Sell List is doing it's job fairly well.

So there you have it! The first batch of Stats for 2014. And With that you have my promise that I'll not miss out on collecting the data again.
