Title: Super Mario bros 3 boxed art versions

Yo! Whats the significance between the 2 versions of the SMB 3 cover art? One has the 'bros.' over his hand, and others its over his head. Is the one over his head a reprint?

I've always understood that the one with "Bros." on the left is the first run.
