does anyone know what this is? They guy want's $75 for it. Should I buy it?
-
It's a PS2 test unit. Do you want it? If you do, buy it.
-
what's difference between this and a regular one?
-
I believe that test units are the ones that programmers developed games on.
-
can it play regular games on it?
-
I want it.
-
I would be blowing this guys phone and email up with offers! That is solo cool!!! YES, BUY IT!!!
-
What I like about that picture is that on the console, it says "test", but the "e" looks like the Kanji for "three", which in 1337 is still an "e", so it still says test. That's all I got to say about that.
-
... good god if that thing still has the hard drive with game development files inside :o

The only always-true answer to the "should I buy this" question ;)
-
Called the guy and he is personally delivering it tomorrow morning.
-
From what I always heard about these test units is that they're supposedly region free and boot burned games.

You'll give us more details with an update when you get it from him, right? ;D
-
I would seriously buy/trade this with you. Ive wanted one of those (and some of the colored TEST units) for a while. I found a red one locally but the guy wanted almost 2000 for it and, at that price, he will never ever sell it.
-
That's an awesome find. I've never priced one before, but I'd probably pay that in a heartbeat without even haggling with the guy.
-
i'll give you guys a full update once it's in my hands and I get the chance to test it out.
-
So this guy has 3 more of them. I'm thinking about buying them. Anyone interested?
-
You know I am!!

DUMP THE HARD DRIVES. FOR GOD'S SAKE DUMP THE HARD DRIVES. If there's development files in there they should be preserved for posterity!

Anything become of this..?
