Title: Vectrex joystick not working

So my controller is not working right one axis of the joystick tends not to respond, if i hold it upside down it will work sometimes, but thats kind of a pain. any tips on how to fix this?

It sounds like it's worn out. Usually you can't fix joysticks. The plastic is stretched/worn out Best option is to find one that isn't worn and swap it out.
