Mega man Legends 3
Capcom doesn't care about mega man anymore?
They don't seem to be, because legends 3 was a big deal with a lot of fan input behind the process. Then Capcom decided to cancel the game and made a stupid statement saying " The fans didn't give us enough support" which really angered the fanbase, and partically led to Infuane, the creator of Mega Man, to leave Capcom and create his own games, which one of them is considered a spiritual successor to mega man called Mighty No.9, which will be coming out next year. So far, Capcom canceled all other Megaman project and hasn't announced anything new for megaman as of present.

Why the hell did they say that for? So the mega man franchise is dead now basically?

Yeah at the moment, it seems pretty dead. Two online games( I think Mega Man Online/ Mega Man Universe) were shown as really cool trailers, but they decided to cancel those games as well. Right now, capcom has just been focusing on resident evil and street fighters, while leaving many of their other ip's dormant on the wayside.

Mighty No. 9 is the next gen Mega Man reboot you are looking for...

http://www.mightyno9.com

It's being made by one of the original creators of Mega Man.

A great cancelled game you can actually find online and play right now is Star Fox 2 for SNES.

The game was finished but never released.

In fact if you own a Retron 5 you can grab an IPS patch to turn your Star Fox 1 cart into Star Fox 2:

They can't. There is no mention of Mega Man or Dr. Wiley and he takes liberties with the art style and gameplay that he wanted to make a long time ago but wasn't allowed to due to Capcoms control.

It's only a spiritual successor to Mega Man. But again.

It's probably the Mega Man reboot you've been looking for. :)

I don't think it  will work in their favor, because they really need customer support right now and are struggling to keep afloat with the rest of their stuff, as well as the fact that so many people are distrusting of their practices. Inafune has stated he is willing to work with Capcom on this " if they offer the best terms" but we'll see if Capcom tries to pull anything before the game release. They aren't breaking any ip issues with this game anyways so Capcom can't really do much about this and I don't think they really seem to care.

Lamborghini for the Xbox/PS2/GC

Cancelled in 2003 when Rage Software shut down. Apparently the XBox version was (mostly) finished, but never released, the assets of the game being sold off and ultimately becoming Juiced (which featured precisely 0 Lambo's).

Shenmue 3: it is unknown how far in development it got, but as most of us know it's never been released and likely never will.

Zone of the Enders 3: This game was in development as well, but due to poor sales of the Zone of the Enders HD collection it was cancelled.

The Scud Race/Sega Super GT port for the Dreamcast. It was first concieved as a Sega Saturn demo, then shown as a tech demo for one of Sega's  Dreamcast presentations but it got scrapped before the launch of the Dreamcast, and the closest thing to it on a console is the Beginner track of that game for Outrun 2 for Xbox, but doesn't quite match up.

Yeah, that was Sonic X-Treme. It pretty much got canceled due to infighting in SEGA, and that the only guy who was working his ass off to save the game had to go to the hospital and almost died due to overwork. However, some of the ideas in that game were implemented into Sonic Lost World for Wii U/3DS.

LOL.

SEGA had several unfortunately cancelled games. Eternal Champions 2. Comix Zone 2. I think planet harriers was a Dreamcast game. Streets of Rage 4 (By Ruffian Software), and many more I am forgetting.

Yeah you're right about the Dreamcast port for Plant Harriers. It originated on the Sega Hikaru arcade board which was pretty expensive and used for  advanced fire/water graphics as well as introducing phong shading. It was made by Amsument vision, and there was going to be a Dreamcast version, but unfortunately I think it got canceled with the discontinuation of the Dreamcast internationally along with many other Dreamcast conversions back in the day. It sucks that the port got canceled because its actually a pretty fun game from what I've played.

Some other arcade games I want to mention are : Clockwork Aquario(last arcade game by Weststone creators of Wonder Boy), Gunbeat( Sega NAOMI title being developed as Treasure's first 3D game), Vic Viper( like F-Zero racing in arcade but with Gradius ships and there is a completed soundtrack for the game), as well as the prototype for Tekken 3, that was supposed to be on Namco's System 33 which was rumored to be a system to be way more powerful than Sega's Model 3.

What about any of the Satellaview games such as BS ZELDA?

What about any of the Satellaview games such as BS ZELDA?
They were actual releases in Japan, thanks to the program that let you download game data onto the rewriteable data cartidge. There have also been modifications done to let you play BS Zelda or other games with or without the time limit in the bsnes emulator, along with translations. If you mean the international release for the Satellaview then I don't think they would have done the Satellaview exapansion internationally, considering the lack of network infrastructure necessary as well as costs to create and upkeep, as well as market shift by late 1995 to the new 32 bit consoles, and the 16 bit market was in a huge decline moreso compared to Japan since the Super Famicom was still popular over there.

I know that but there was never a physical release of the games are very rarely did people back them up making them unplayable and lost forever! This is the reason why I consider them canceled.

Well like I said, they aren't "canceled" because people have managed to recover the lost data and use it on the emulator, as well as the fact that the data can be transfered over to an actual cartridge and be used on a physical console if the necessary mofications are made. You can play these games today on cartidge format, just don't expect the full BS-X interface cartidge out since I believe that needs transmission of data to download content.

If it was released by Nintendo and has the word Zelda in the name, never assume that it has been lost.
I have actually been setting aside money for an BS Zelda Ancient Stone Tablets cart for a few months and will finally have enough money to purchase a copy next week  :D Plan on getting BS Zelda Maps 1 and 2 cart after that

They're both pretty fun to play through, even though they don't add much compared to their original counterparts. I still think the system of breaking up the game into "episodes" is pretty cool, especially since they used professional voice actors for both narration and character voices for ingame as well as story sequences. No one has managed to recover those sound files at all yet, but if they ever do, then I think that would totally improve the whole playing experience!
