Overrated:
Reviewtech USA - Rich, the guy who creates all the videos for this channel is the biggest hypocrite POS on all of youtube as far as I'm concerned. The guy also is a click bait whore that condemns other channels for doing the same thing . . .yeah ::)
Happyconsolegamer - He is a prime example of someone who likes talking about video games and owning them rather than playing them. I sometimes get the impression that he has maybe beaten about twenty games his whole life and bases his opinions of the thousands of other games he has on what he has read or heard about them online. His channel also annoys me in general for some reason.
Metal Jesus Rocks - It bothers me a little bit that he has to have guests on his show in half his videos to explain games that most other gamers are completely aware of, except for him of course. It's as if he supplements his overall lack of gaming knowledge(at least involving consoles) by having others explain the games and do the work for him. This brings me to another issue I have with his channel, his Hidden Gems videos. 90% of these so called Hidden Gems are anything but hidden.
Pro Jared - The guy annoys me, plain and simple.
Adam Koralik - While he does not have a ton of subs, he still has way too many for someone who is essentially a Sony hating, butthurt Sega fanboy. Don't get me wrong, I love Sega, but he definitely gives Sega fans a bad name.
Underrated
The Game Chasers - Possibly my favorite youtube channel, their production quality is amazing for the show, both Billy and Jay are hilarious, and most of the episodes are very entertaining.
Pat the NES Punk - While many would argue that his channel does have a great deal of success, I feel like his videos are awesome, and especially the CUpodcast is very entertaining and has a lot of insightful opinions on gaming related topics. And Flea Market Madness!!!
Chargeback Forward - Sadly this channel is dead, but it had so much potential and the videos that its two creators posted were awesome and very entertaining. I don't think they ever saw more than 5000 subs at their peak which is really sad.
NES Complex - Definitely one of the most entertaining and fun video game related youtube channels, that sadly has had a drought of content recently. There are some awesome top games lists on it, as well as fun reviews on Nintendo Power issues and games.

Didn't we have another similar thread a while back? Anyone?
And I disagree on Pat... I just don't like the guy, I don't know why. I'm sure he's a nice dude but his character just bugs me.

And I'd like to strangle Ian with a controller cable.
But yeah, we had a thread like this before and pretty much decided we all just have different tastes. And I still hate the terms "overrated / underrated". ;)

-->(*Inserted Shameless Advertisement Here*) <--- In all seriousness I think Trophy Hunters Gaming and Did You Know Gaming are a couple missing from the list. Also I can disagree on Adam Koralik. I really like his channel. Maybe it's because I've been watching his videos for a long time and have gotten used to the "OMG DREAMCAST!!!" style he has. Also does anybody watch The Completionist?
P.S. --> https://www.youtube.com/user/GameGangEliteForce <-- (*You Won't Regret It*)

I don't see how having someone appear on your show to talk about something you don't know a lot about is a bad thing. Wouldn't you rather have someone knowledgeable than have someone just reciting you lines from Wikipedia or talking out of his ass? I don't see this as any different than when the guys at Pawn Stars has to call an expert over.
Anyways, as for my YouTube reviews picks, here's my list of stuff I watch. YouTube reviewers are actually big chunk of my viewing entertainment:
-Classic Game Room - Or "LordCarnage" as he calls it, now. This was the first review show I ever watched. It's nice that he STILL gives us regular reviews.
-CGRUndertow - But I HATE the PC reviewer guy, he just gets on my nerves. Derick is great, and the "newbs" usually aren't bad. Like CGR, it's nice that we get reviews on a regular basis from them.
-G4 Icons - So this isn't technically a YouTube show. But G4 doesn't exist anymore and I thought I'd share this for anyone that didn't know. EASILY the best gaming show to ever appear on television, IMO. It's a documentary-style show that follows different themes each episode in the history of gaming complete with old footage and interviews with programmers & designers. One episode might be on fighting games, another on the history of Mario.
-Game Sack - These guys really seem to know what they're talking about. And I usually always discover a new game I want to play after watching their videos. They post new videos pretty much weekly. And they're full half-hour episodes, like a real T.V. show. But they do come off a little amateur in their dialogue like they're stiffly reading from a script. Small complaint, though, it doesn't detract from the show.
-Gamester81 - Totally amateur. But it's cool to get perspective from a fellow collector that's much farther along on his collection. And he really does have some seriously rare stuff that's cool to see.
-Irate Gamer - He barely does anything gaming related anymore though, I was just about to unsubscribe and then he suddenly put up a new History of Video Games video. And before we get into an AVGN vs. Irate Gamer discussion, I don't agree. He's obviously similar, but I feel he's different enough to set him apart. It's apparent to me since IG's humor is a little more cartoonish with the recurring characters and storyline themes and such. And frankly, I don't like AVGN, he just seems too juvenile with the dick and fart jokes for me.
-MetalJesusRocks - I really like this guy. Not that he's the best at any one thing in particular. Just that he seems like a normal dude that you might hang out with if you knew him. I'm a gamer and a metal-head as well, so we agree on a lot of things, as well.
-ScrewAttacks's Top 10 - These are just quick and fun little countdown videos on various themes in gaming.
-TurboViews - Dang are his reviews getting longer and longer in-between. I think he's done most of the TG-16 library by now is the problem, lol. His reviews are always very well done and easily the most professional looking of the bunch that I have listed here. I could easily see his videos being a segment of some show on G4 (if it still existed).

HECK YEAH!!!
I've been fortunate enough to meet a few of these guys.
Pat is a pretty cool guy. I talked to him for a while at Retropalooza. He's an alright guy.
I talked to the Game Chasers a while too. Really cool guys.
As for under rated channels check out:
The Midwest Retro Gamers. It's a husband and wife looking for games. I can relate a little.
MichaelBTheGameGenie is a pretty cool channel. I like his Game and Watch series. It's Lets Plays, but the guy is likable.
Beat 'em Ups is a solid show. It's like Game Chasers in Australia. Fun stuff
Retro Liberty is a fantastic channel. Aaron and Ricky are fun, likable guys. The show has fantastic editing and is just fun to watch.
If I think of anymore, I'll try to let y'all know. I watch a lot of YouTube.

I'd say LazyGameReviews is an underrated channel for sure. Not underrated in the sense that people don't like him but in the sense that not enoug people watch his videos. Fantastic insightful reviews and all-round good guy.

This is the only true answer.
I am not a huge fan of the Pat The NES Punk videos, but I do really enjoy the Completely Unnecessary Podcast and Flea Market Madness
-
ProJared overrated? Hardly, he's an extremely funny guy. His panels are hilarious because he kinda treats it like he would being more like a stand up comedian. Has that kinda timing and humor also with those events. I kinda wish he'd do less horror Lets Plays, not because I want another screamer like Markiplier, but because he's admittedly not scared by horror games, which takes a little enjoyment out of the watch since he's not really getting into as much of the tension.
Underrated though, I would echo Lazy Game Reviews as he makes very high quality videos and being that he plays new and old PC games, he isn't really fighting for the same viewing audience as many others are. I don't think I even watch anyone who is mostly a pure PC gamer in the sense that he is and has that massive PC game collection.
The Completionist is very underrated though slowly growing with popularity. The depths that man will go to complete games is ridiculous. You don't see anyone else doing that along with having high quality video content. I mean, the man completed Hyrule Warriors with over 200 hours, he's completed Smash Bros 4 after having it for just a few weeks and some of those challenges in it are ridiculous. He's a very genuine guy which you have to respect.
Game Sack would be another underrated channel, very much cause of the variety in their videos. They'll do in depth videos on specific consoles and the better games for them, they'll do themed videos, all videos have quality to them and they are definite collectors.
And finally, while these guys are not really underrated, I think they have the popularity, but I love the Super Best Friends. 4 guys with a lot of character, that regularly do Let's Plays of a lot of different games among with usually doing short lets plays of new games on Machinima. They have an epic long podcast where they discuss game news and argue about game things and I just really enjoy listening to them.
There's others I could probably add, but I think that's enough for now. Overrated isn't too important to me. Like I could easily put down someone like Pewdiepie who is awful, but I don't pay attention to him.
-
Oh man! Finally I totally agree on reviewtechusa, he's done nothing but piss me off since he made youtube his full-time gig, I remember him posting about how terrible the Wii U was because it was formatting his Flash drive and he unplugged it, while it tells you "DO NOT UNPLUG" what an idiot
I don't really like Pat the NES punk or game chasers though both just kind of over stayed their welcome, I can only take so much of the ridiculous little kid humor
Sorry to say it too but I got sick of Gamesack, is it Joe?, the one that isn't bald just seemed like the videos were just an opportunity to show off his most expensive stuff
On the other hand I love LGR, not much of a PC gamer, but his humor, reviews and style are great same goes for PushingupRoses, she's awesome too
I also really dig Austin Mackert he mostly does let's plays now but I like his down-to-earth style and he just seems like a normal dude that doesn't have a massive collection but just loves games for what they are
-
I agree for the most part about ReviewTech USA and Happy Console Gamer, but I still like MetalJesusRocks since he seems like a cool dude, and his Hidden Gem Videos seem more like aimed for the general public who may not know about those games, and are actually pretty helpful for collection purposes. ProJared is alright most of the time, and I also like Koralik's videos and discussions about consoles, even though I disagree with some of his points. I also enjoy Nintendo Collecting as well as KidShoryuken as well.
-
I used to like AlphaOmegaSin until I realized that most of his videos are him complaining about stuff that everybody already complains about everywhere else on the internet. :-\
Got to agree with BikingJahuty on MetalJesusRocks, though.
And I like Pat the NES Punk, though I think his position is fair! (neither over nor underrated, in my opinion).
-
TheCompletionist is pretty underrated he actually knows his shit.

I absolutely hate that guy. Just a bunch of curse filled rants with no real substance. I don't see the popularity AT ALL. I don't think I've ever actually finished one of his videos since he can't seem to come up with adjectives that don't appear on George Carlin's 7 words list. He's like AVGN without an ounce of charm.

SomeCallMeJohnny/ Super Gaming bros - Reviews and one of the few Let's play channels I actually enjoy and find very funny
BrainScratchComms - Another Let's play channel I enjoy
Andrew Eisen - very funny Nintendo fan
JHMDF - Garage sale finds and an interesting look at resellers
Geeks Podcast - people talking about video games and other things like movies and Comic
L1Games - Kind of part of the reason I got into collecting games talks about his store, and some of local conventions around him, and rarely talks about stuff he gets, also occasionally about game Politices
The Completionist- Do I need to explain this one?

Who Cares? it's not going to change anyones opinion on what someone consider overrated or underrated. At least when someonetalks about a channel they think is underrated someone might find a new channel they enjoy

Most of the gaming channels I've watched over the years aren't the "top tier" ones with a lot of success. I feel like I kind of watch just regular folks who talk about their games more than anything. I've been a long time follower of channels like Ballinnick1982, TV and Lust, Stefs2Def, Dustin Kries, Benzo8686, MovieStarKitten, Petedorr. Stuff like that, and several others that had faded into obscurity by now. I enjoy watching newly formed channels, and channels with virtually no subscribers on occasion.
I used to love watching Retrocalypse back in the day, the guy had a impressive DS collection and was very informative and inspiring. Unfortunately a flood ruined his collection and he closed his channel. :-\ There was this one guy, I think his channel is gone called "PlayaLives" or something like that, he was okay. I couldn't help but watch the video of his entire game shelf falling on him over and over. That must have sucked.
As far as overrated, I think most of them have been covered. Not a fan of SeeJayAre, or really any channel that's more collector oriented, or based on sheer size of collection. And while AVGN is overrated, I still enjoy it.

Pretty much sums up why I don't care for him either.
I *do* like Happy Console Gamer & feel pretty much the opposite of bikingjahuty on him. He has a lot of knowledge on a lot of obscure consoles & older RPGs especially, and I get the impressions he's played quite a bit. He just comes across as really down-to-earth to me. Maybe it helps that he's about my age? I also enjoy MetalJesusRocks for pretty much the same reasons.
I'm a big fan of The Completionist, and I've also picked up a few other good channels by watching him - some of his guests & other channels under the same "umbrella" - PeanutButterGamer & JohnTron especially. Both are really funny guys.
-

I actually really like AlphaOmegaSin! I've been watching his videos since before he hit 10k subs and I've always enjoys his perspective as well as his delivery on most issues. He seems like a really cool guy too, and his rants, while a dime a dozen on youtube, are entertaining because of his unique delivery style of the issues. I attribute his channels success to this, definitely keeps me subscribing to him.
Another channel I need to throw in my overrated channel category is JonTronn. My issue with him is similar to my issues with Pro Jared; I just find him incredibly obnoxious and annoying. While this is not his fault, he ale remind me of a friend my brother had when we were growing up (who also happened to really like games and his name was Jon) who was the most obnoxious, dishonest, and douschy gamer I've ever known. So yeah, a little transference going on there, but it's part of why I can't stand his channel.
And some really interesting perspectives on here. We're obviously not going to all agree on what is overrated and underrated, but the purpose of this thread was to get people's thoughts and feelings regarding many of the youtube channels we've watched. I definitely watch a lot more channels on youtube, but the other ones I feel are not overrated or underrated, but just right.

My main problem with Adam isn't his love of Sega (the Dreamcast in also my favorite console of all time), but it's the flip side of that which is his blatant hatred of Sony. He cannot talk about Sony, and especially the PS2, without saying a bunch of negative things about them which have little to no basis in reality, and his defense for his opinions are paper thin. Unlike most other fanboys, at least he tries defending his bitterness towards Sony, even though his positions on the subject are indefensible. He definitely never let go of the fact the the PS2 was a huge factor, maybe even the biggest factor in the demise of the Dreamcast, and it seems to have fueled his dislike of the console ever since. I'm not saying he has to like PS2 or Sony's other game consoles, but being a fanboy about it just makes him look like an asshole. My opinion of course.

JonTron is... special.
He can be funny but he does things to games that make me want to punch him. Like dipping systems and games in water. JUST WHY DO YOU DO THAT YOU ARGH

Shows like JonTron and Caddicarus seem as if they take forever to edit. Their production for thier show is INSANE. By the way Caddicarus is another one we should add to this imaginary list of underrated channels!

I mostly watch people who are more focused on humor than actual "review" type channels. Jontron (whom I will admit IS obnoxious and I can easily see how people would be turned off by him, but there's just something in his humor that fucking gets me. few people have made me crack up as hard as him at times), Game Grumps and Achievement Hunter are the 3 channels I never miss any episodes of.

looks like this was a really old thread that got revived..
SNES drunk is easily my favorite. I don't particularly like or dislike any single Youtube reviewer (i just look for certain titles and watch whoever did a video on it), EXCEPT for SNES drunk. I watch most of his videos because they are just cool videos, and hes not a traditional REVIEWER.. a lot of his videos are more "did you know" and "is this worth playing today?" and several neat lists that others don't even hit on like english-friendly SFC games, etc... SNES drunk is my one and only YouTube subscription
as a disclaimer, it also helps that I tend to agree with/like most of what he suggests
-
I'd actually like to add another channel to the Underrated category:
GGGMANLIVES: Most of the games the guy reviews are FPS games. He especially has love for the classics which was why I ended up subbing to his channel in the first place. His smooth as silk Australian accent helps too :p

Overrated:
PewDiePie. Do I need to say anything else?
Markiplier. And I say this as someone who kinda likes him. I find him utterly charming when he guests on other shows, but his main channel can get annoying.
AlphaOmegaSin. Something about him just rubs me the wrong way.
MetalJesusRocks. Seems like a cool dude, but he can be a bit boring.
Right where they should be:
Game Grumps
Cinemassacre (AVGN)
Underrated:
The Completionist. Dude knows his stuff, and the videos are generally entertaining.
PeanutButterGamer. I find him hilarious.
PressHearttoContinue. Dodger seemed poised to become a huge YT star, then it just sort of poofed.
TheWarpZone. I just wish they put out more content.

I have way to many games that still need a playthrough and still allot of games coming in. I don't think I need a gaming channel to see wich games are excellent. I might come across some games eventually in lots and see if it is interesting.
Maybe for Japanese imports or homebrews but to be honest I don't have a high interest in those.

GradeAUnderA https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCz7iJPVTBGX6DNO1RNI2Fcg
GradeAUnderA doesn't count. His channel on Youtube is not gaming related.
For the most part with Youtube, I can't say that I have a 100% favorite channel where I can just go watch all the videos. If the subject matter doesn't interest me, then the Youtuber's personality and voice need to make up for that. Those types of people I can watch a video and become interested by what they are covering. Channels like that, for me, are in the far minority on Youtube for me. Same goes for Twitch. It is only a couple of streamers that I can watch anything that they are playing.
For example, Cinemassacre I only like to watch the AVGN videos or the ones where James is candid like the movie room tour or making of videos. The Board James or Mike plays whatever are not interesting to me. LazyGameReviews I can say his channel is in the 80% range. Game Chasers I only like the actual episodes. Sega-16, just Melf's pickup videos. The other channels where I pick and choose are ones that I don't subscribe to. I watch enough video game videos on Youtube that it will suggest the other big channels enough on its own. Like CUPodcast, Pewdiepie, etc.
There are some other channels that I don't really even watch their videos at all or maybe have seen just a couple ever. Channels like JonTron, Metal Jesus Rocks, Markiplier, etc.
-
For some reason, I can't really watch Youtube shows at all. The closest I got was watching Zero Punctuation, but even then I was just watching the ones for games I was interested in.
When I first heard about Twitch, I thought it was the stupidest thing in the world, but I've met some genuinely nice people there and have made many friendship that would not have happened otherwise.
I suppose the part about Youtube videos is that there's no interaction. I guess I don't really want to hear opinions on someone's playthrough unless there's a way to react to it or if it's part of a proper review.

That's what I do, really. I didn't really think about it, but I guess we are the minority.

Overated- Markiplier, Angry Video Game Nerd (Cinemassacre), Metal Jesus Rocks
Underated- Alpha Omega Sin, Leafyishere
Wow I love MJR, he's informative and entertaining and has some great guests like John Hancock. The two you listed as underrated, to me, are just juvenile loudmouth immature morons with no substance. The sad thing is it seems that's their appeal.

Pat the NES Punk: this dude and the blonde one are my "favorites" those nights that I can't sleep, I just add a couple of their videos to a playlist and after a couple of minutes am sleeping like a baby.
Cinemassacre: what can I say about this mothafucka, everything about this dude makes me sick, why ? simple cause the idea or at least the one that I have is that if you are gonna talk about games do it the right way, the idea is to love not to hate games and yes I know is the way that he is but can't accept it.
MetalJesusRocks: boring a hell, having an awesome collection not necessarily means that you can make good videos, he looks like a 40 years old fucking virgin, he might be married really dunno but that doesn't change anything.
AlphaOmegaSin: admit that used to love his style when I started watching his videos but after a couple of them they are all practically the same, got the impression that over the time he hasn't improve at anything.

SpaceKappa (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIF9KJ-IwP3P5iFslsWgU7w): his reviews when he do them are one my favorites, have recently discovered his channel and already got a couple of ideas for mi next purchases.
The Gaming Historian (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnbvPS_rXp4PC21PG2k1UVg): totally hate the history but when somebody teach me the history about the videogames got my complete attention, his videos are so well done and very informative without a doubt is a must see channel if you want to learn more about what you are playing.
Drink a Beer and Play a Game (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkEXtBQymCMPmRdkLIzNCtA): these dudes sold me the idea that Spaltterhouse was good enough for me, love their reviews and the way they make the videos and the fact that they answer users comments is what I like about this channel.
Cannot be Tamed (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzwyF_IcyMP86ilsmKD1Pcw): love this channel even when my wife said that am only following because I like Pam, she is the only gamer girl that I can afford, her reviews and gameplays are my favorites cause she is the kind of people that plays and talks not that much only the necessary, the one that she did for Rule of Rose is my favorite.
Stop Skeletons from Fighting (https://www.youtube.com/user/lophatjello): he used to be know as the Happy Video Game Nerd, the opposite to that asshole of Cinemassacre so guess there is no need to say why I thing he is on this list.
Cygnus Destroyer/The LJN Defender (https://www.youtube.com/user/CygnusDestroyer20XX): another guy that gives bad games a second chance, the videos of the INNOCENT Until Proven Guilty! series needs to have more attention.
Michael B the Game Genie (https://www.youtube.com/user/MichaelBtheGameGenie): I do envy this fat guy but his reviews and gameplays and the ones that he make with his friends are good enough, just don't watch his singing video rip of Pokemon and everything will be excellent.

Yeah, Norm the Gaming Historian is a pretty good one. Probably my favorite nowadays. I like the more informative type of channels rather than just watching people play, and critics are always useless to me, I like forming my own opinions. All critics do is hate anyway.
AVGN had it's moment in history an entertaining show in a very juvenile way, but I think it's time people let it go, especially when James Rolfe himself wants to move on. I still watch the The Game Chasers and Retro Liberty because they put a lot of work into their stuff and it takes me back to the days of hunting down games in the wild.

Anyone here watch TheKnow on YouTube? It's a gaming news/rumors channel, that also has a few shows here or there. (I pretty much just watch the daily gaming news bits on there).
It's a great way to keep up on gaming news, in a few minutes. And Meg Turney, oh yeah, Meg Turner (http://images.zaazu.com/img/In-Love-heart-eyes-in-love-smiley-emoticon-000992-large.gif)

don't they also do unsubstantiated scientific news stories like D News?

^ They have some stuff on tech and science, too. But I only watch the gaming videos, unless it looks particularly interesting to me.

I agree and disagree on some of these.
ReviewTechUSA is certainly a pain in the ass; he used to be decent but nowadays he just points to drama or tries to act like he's an authority on the things he talks about. Also that voice he puts on; if I was gay, I feel I'd find that offensive.
HappyConsoleGamer...... ah I think John is harmless. I'm sure he plays more games than you suggest; but of course he can't play them all (I know I can't). His content is generally fairly dull so I suppose he is over-rated in that sense.
MetalJesusRocks. It's funny that you point to his guests. He himself isn't very entertaining nor the most knowledgeable. However I commend him for thinking of bringing on guests as some of them are great. I really like Reggie and Kelsey; though at the same time they both produce their own content, so you can have them without him.
ProJared. Meh I watched one video of his after he appeared on the Game Chasers; didn't like it and never watched him again.
The Game Chasers is class. One of my favorite shows on YouTube; the collecting has somewhat gone out the window; no longer do they find much, however the entertainment is still there. Just a really funny show.
Pat the NES Punk..... I'm not sure I'd say its underrated, I'd say it's rated. I do enjoy some of the content; as you say CUPodcast, Flea Market Madness and Ask Frank are great series. Not so keen on his other stuff though.

I'm not too sure how to reply to this. I watch several regularly and have been exposed to others I wish I hadn't to put simply. I'll go through the ones I follow, the ones I would rather just quit and those in between.
Regulars
Game Sack A fairly entertaining show chock full of games some we've all heard of others not so much. The episodes tend to be on the long side of 20+ minutes but they can cover a lot of ground in that time. Usually do episodes pertaining to a genre or console and list some good and not so good games along the way. All without resorting to wall to wall toilet humor to carry the show.
ProJared I just like the way he presents himself. Usually itemizing what he loves and doesn't when it comes to games he reviews. He doesn't really stand out though and can be rather dry and boring to some.
The Completionist I give this guy props for what he does. There is no way I would put myself through that just to "100%" a game. It's interesting what some devs do when players 100% their games. I'm too lazy for that so that's what he's for. lol :P
The Rageaholic Very outspoken individual and that may be putting it lightly. He has a fairly large vocabulary and isn't afraid to whip it out and wave it around. Reviews tend to be short, clocking in at 10 or so minutes average. He's not for everyone though as he in his usually verbose way tends to be rather crass and vulgar.
JonTron I um, eh... Well, yeah I don't know why, I just do. DON"T JUDGE ME! :'(
Wish they still did,
StillGaming This was my first YouTube reviewer. His videos were short and entertaining. I liked his style. I still enjoy watching his review of Peggle. From what I understand health reasons and pairing up with that disaster Blistered Thumbs is pretty much what killed him off
ClanoftheGrayWolf They might still be doing their content on their personal site, I haven't checked. The 8bit and 16bit Gems series were well done. The way Video Games Work was also one of my faves.
Watch Very Occasionally
AlphaOmegaSin Really got tired of his constant ranting and raving.
AVGN James wants to end this you can tell by the dead look in his eyes when you boot a newer video. That and his juvenile escapades has gotten long since stale.
TheHappyConsoleGamer He seems like a straight up, nice guy. I don't watch him. I can't explain why. I don't hate his content, I just don't watch it.
Not if you paid me
TheRPGFanatic Ugh. Boring, bland, lifeless. Sure fire coma material there.
ReviewTechUSA I hate this guy. Does nothing but rumor mill and stir the pot.
RetroGamer03/TheGamingRapist/TheWelfareGamer Whatever his moniker is at this time I don't care. This guy is try too hard budget AVGN. Proof positive that Canada can breed ignorant and bat shit crazy just as well as the U.S. does.
AngryJoe I don't know what people see in him. I don't have the attention span to sit and listen to one guy beat the reasons he doesn't/does like a game to death for 30+ minutes. Terrible skits and just boring ass writing. Not a fan.
JimSterling and MovieBob These two gibbering landmasses are annoying as hell to watch. At least I can sometimes agree with Sterling. Both are narcissistic asses.

In terms of the channels that spring to mind....
I Love:
'Kinda Funny Games' - PS I Love You XOXO is my favorite gaming podcast (shame it's PlayStation only) and the Gamescast gets some great guests. Greg has won awards as a gmaing personality for a rason and Colin is a great analyst of the industry.
'TheGameChasers' - It's funny and I like watching the pursuit of games. Sadly they don't find the stuff they used to but it's still a good show nonetheless.
'The Game Theorists' - Mainly for MatPat's Game Theory videos. These videos really make you think about games in a different way which is cool.
I Like:
'Pat the NES Punk' - Funny enough I've never bothered with his old Punk stuff. However the CU Podcast is always worth a listen, Flea Market Madness is good and Ask Frank is worth a chuckle.
'Game Sack' - Just a well done show that gives you an insight into certain systems or genres.
'EasyAllies' - The old Gametrailers crew. Enjoy their podcast and although I hate let's plays if I'm really curious about a game, they're the best to go to. Looking forward to the return of Retrospectives.
'ScrewAttack' - I really like the lists they do; don't always agree with them but they're enjoyable all the same.
'Gaijan Goombah' - Educational.
''Gaming Historian' - Ditto.
'Did You Know Gaming' - Just gives you some interesting little facts about games that you may or may not already know.
So-so:
'MetalJesusRocks' - His videos are a mixed bag, generally when he's on his own it's not worth watching but some of his guests are good; I like Kelsey and Reggie.
Used to be Better:
'AlphaOmegaSin' - We have a similar taste in games, so naturally I gravitated toward him; feel the balance used to be right between passion and rants, the rants were justified. Nowadays there's far too many rants and half of them seem pointless.
'Cinemassacre' - I get that James has grown up and the Nerd is dead; so he can do what he wants with his channel. It's fair enough but nonetheless it's obvious the channel used o be a lot better.
Used to Like but not Anymore:
'Melonie Mac' - I used to like her videos but she's just gotten too big for her breeches it seems. It's like she doesn't even produce content anymore; 'I'm at this event, I'm at that event." You can't be a YouTuber and not produce any content. She's more interested in make-up and pink hair than producing the videos that she used to.
'AngryJoeShow' - His rants used to have a purpose, his reviews had plenty of effort in them and his end of the year lists were something to look forward to. Nowadays it's like he has established his audience so he feels he can just put out let's plays with 'other Joe' and the odd rant that doesn't seem well thought out, and that'll keep his audience. Not for me.
'ReviewTechUSA' - At one point he made actual content and when he did discuss a gaming story it was one worth discussing. Now it's just click bait stories and pretending he's some authority on things. Ha when he addresses someone like Phil Spencer in his videos, I can't help but LOL, as if Phil listens to his videos....
I Hate:
Honestly if I don't like a channels I come across I generally just forget about it, so hard to say what I hate. I feel Let's Players are pointless and I think it's a crime that their king PewDiePie is a millionaire because of them; squeal at Call of Duty and make millions......sigh.

Dude Jontron is amazing. Unscripted his jokes are wildly hit and miss. But when he writes one? Pure gold.
