He has one of the cleanest, nicest collections I've ever seen, but even appraised at it's top value, his collection is likely not even worth 80k.

Shipping must be a pain!

5,700 games... puh-lease.
theflea has twice as many. :)

Wouldn't it make more sense to break the collection up by system? I know he's trying to increase the "Ooooh, aaaah" effect but honestly he's relying on finding some millionaire to want all this stuff. Unless he's being only half-serious and testing the waters.
I'm betting it won't sell for that price, but that dozens of people are going to contact him behind the scenes to try to make a bargain.

Yeah, this collection looks pretty nice, but good luck finding someone who will buy the whole set for that price. It's probably going to take him a while before he can unload the collection onto someone else's back either in full or in parts.
-
I think it's the third or fourth time that I see him list his collection. He's easy to remember for his N64 controllers and systems arrangement and his custom Gameboy / Gameboy Color shelves. I don't remember if he's been asking the same amount each time or not, though. :-\

The problem with selling a whole collection like that is that the only people who'd be interested would be collectors like us who already have a lot of the games he's selling. The only thing he could do is sell it at a bargain rate so the buyer could make some profit selling them individually. I would have liked to see this lot as an auction. Would have been interesting.

Not gonna sell for that asking price. That's over $28 a game and the majority are cartridge only.
-
Thats Aaron. He's not horribly interested in selling, just putting it out there incase someone wins the lottery and must have it. :)

Well, that explains the price for sure :P
