Title: Sound problem with some PS3 Games
Post by: instantreplay on December 16, 2014, 10:25:01 am
Hello everyone!
I'm having an issue with some of my PS3 games. For some of them, certain sounds only come out as static. Most notably, in Mass Effect and The Darkness 2. In Mass Effect, rocket launchers and and explosives come out as an extremely grating static sound. In The Darkness 2, thunder is nothing but a cackling static to the point where I mute my TV. Anyone know what could be the problem? I don't think its my TV. Its roughly four years old and I've never had any problems with it.

Let's rule out some things.

Play a CD or MP3. How does that sound?

Are you using HDMI? Try using different cable types.
