Since the last thread was such a success post here for late February/March finds! Haven't gone out yet this month so nothing for me unless I get some shipped stuff in today :)

I did some fiscally irresponsible light shopping on amazon the other day, so I have a few things that should be arriving within the month. Also, I can't wait for Shallie to arrive next week!

The GS near my office is one of the few that sell PSP games. I just went over on my lunchbreak, really just to get out of the office for a bit, and I saw they had a TON more than they did a couple weeks ago. Asked the guy there what happened & he said some store way off in south FL just started sending them to him. Most of them were UMD only, unfortunately, but they still have some good ones complete.  He also told me there was still a b2g1 sale running on them which I was unaware of. So I picked up GTA: Liberty City Stories, GTA: Chinatown Wars & Parasite Eve: The Third Birthday all complete & in excellent shape for about $10/each after tax.

I gotta admit to a bit of buyer's remorse on the three I got. I looked it up & you can get Parasite Eve for $8 new on Amazon, and one of the 2 GTA's I bought for about $11. Think I may return these & just wait and see if they do any kind of big PSP game price drop that makes it more of a deal.

To be truthful, I never watch people's pick-up videos. I don't want to spend that much time just to see what someone got. It's a lot easier to scan a quick message board post.

Grabbed the last Call of Duty: Ghosts - Prestige Ed. for the PS4 in my area for $40 from GS. Figured it was worth that for the hd camera & the single-player campaign (which is all I have interest in ;) ). Have the season pass code listed on ebay right now, so my end cost may be much less than that. :P

I like pickup videos when the person making them has interesting stories about how he acquired the games and/or some insight into why he picked them up. If it's just a person going "I got this, this, this, this..." tho, no thank you.

BB has Theatrhythm FF Curtain Call on sale this week for $20 ($16 after GCU) and my copy came in the mail today. It's the one w/ the cd too, and even tho they shipped it in a bubble mailer it's in perfect condition so I'm happy. :)

So many memories right here :). My brother had a friend who was Japanese back in the late 90s and I remember being so envious that he had Gold/Silver months before it came out in North America. He also had Green version which was like, what is that?! Must have!

Since this is now the active thread I guess I'll post this here. MY recap from February 2015

One of the most surprising and happy finds is the Tiger Woods game on the Gamecube. Got it for 2 bucks and its notable because its one of the few 2-disc games for the gamecube so an easily-repurposeable case if I find another 2-disc GC game I want.

I got Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days (PSP) in the mail today. Now I have at least one version of every Disgaea game in the main series. :D All that's left now is to get the rest of the versions and the spinoffs and I'll have them all (until Disgaea 5 comes out).

I don't see anything that would indicate they're Japanese. They look like NA versions, to me.

been a while since I've had a pick up post lol. I've taken a step back these last few months. but here's what I've gotten so far in februrary/march. don't even really remember which game was my last to post on here, lol. so I'm just gonna go from what I can remember.

My Final Fantasy XIII-2 CE came in... uhh its missing both covers but it has everything else... the the outside is  kind of dirty. I dont know if this was $20 well spent...

Haven't gone out hunting in a long while, despite living pretty close to the Flea Market, but I'm making today a game today and grabbed a few things.  The puzzle and guide were from two retro shops, nothing amazing deal wise, but comfortably priced, and the Mario Bros was a nice cheap garage sale find there.  Not much for Atari, but it's Nintendo lol Heading to the game store later for some trades and to see if I can pick up anything.

Second half of my trip to the retro game store got me a few Zelda items, not games in particular.  Still can't bring myself to pay 65 bucks for Zelda 2 CIB yet lol

Finally grabbed the Hyrule Historia I've been meaning to get since it came out.  Link's Crossbow Training, which isn't a main release, but something I didn't have and it's cheap to get.  And then on the book is a mouse pad that has the Link to the Past map on it lol

I get gift cards for jumping through hoops for my health insurance provider, so I got Sonic Generations and Child of Eden for PS3 and also Lego Batman 3 on 3DS and only had to pay 89 cents out of pocket from Amazon.  It's not really free since I'm still paying for health insurance, but it's fun!  I do enjoy all the games I got.

Fling Smash is a surprisingly fun game, especially for the give-away price they sell it for. :)

Back from PAX East and super exhausted! I just gathered all my loot from the weekend together.

One highly for me is the Breath of Fire combo. I got the game and guide for 70, which may not be a super great price, but they are minty. It looks like the guide goes for 35 or so sometimes so definitely a good price as far as I'm concerned.

Also, that Suikoden guide was an instant buy as soon as I saw it. It was 30 and I've never seen that for less than 65 on the internets. I'm so happy to have the guide for one of my favorite games now.

Got Star Ocean Till The End of Time on the Ps2 from jjgames on eBay! I remember playing this game as a kid and It was awesome.
I hope its not one of those games I remember being great, then go back and play and its garbage!

Now just Quarantine left and this same HPB had it marked at 99.99, but luckily coming up HPB is having a save 50% on your highest priced item day. You bet I'm waiting for them to open to buy that baby for 49.99 if its still there.

I never bought the previous editions so I'm glad I waited. They did say it will be the last update, hence the name. It Only has a couple new characters and arenas added as well as all the DLC costumes included.

I wouldn't to dissuade bobster and the others from playing it, but I somewhat agree with argyle. I will say that it has the best combat out of the four Star Ocean games, but the other things that make the game unique and captivating hardly have the fun factor that the series is known for. Item Creation was butchered to hell and back. Most of the characters are annoying. And the plot...dear god the plot. I won't spoil anything for anyone. I'm assuming argyle knows what I'm talking about.

Even though the combat is great, it too has its fair share of issues.

It may seem small, but it's a total pain in the ass going into town that way to see if anyone is in a different spot/scenario, then needing to leave and come back in to shop and continue with the story. I would be way more into the side cutscenes if I just went into town and saw the people happened to be somewhere new.

I hope everyone enjoys it too, which is why I stopped at that. But I will say that that game was probably partially responsible for me taking so long to get into the Tales series, I suppose because I related them because of their real-time combat. Which is a shame.

Really getting hooked on Xillia 2 now, btw. 20+ hours in. :)

Excellent! Tales of Xillia 2 is such an awesome title. Like I said, I spent around 100 hours and could have easily spent another 100 if not for the backlog.

I've gotten a couple things in the mail from Japan recently. An (almost) complete copy of Super Puyo Puyo for the Super Famicom (it's missing the poster :'(), and a red original model Japanese Nintendo DS. :)

This morning I picked up Mighty Switch Force and Mighty Switch Force 2 from the 3DS eShop for $1.50 each.

These babies have arrived into my collection can't believe that I actually found them in a store when I was looking for a 360 game, totally forgot about this one and decided to purchase this three instead of the other, they are at pretty good condition and only pay less than 10 bucks for each one hope that can find some others this month  8)

Indeed this one en the Guardian Legend are true masterpieces, it's a shame that never heard about them when I was a kid cause at that time I was able to play as much as I want it, today with the responsibilities of an adult well let me say that can barely play  :'(

Here's my haul for last week:

Standouts here are the Hitman: Absolution Professional Edition I got from walmart.com for $6, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace Launch Ed. I got for $20 (check to see if your GS still has this :) ) and The Bureau I found on Target clearance for $7.xx.  Of course I was happy about everything here - was a good week. That Lego City Undercover was nice too, it's getting scarce in my area & I was in a GS when the guy literally put it out on the shelf. :P

As you can see from my sig, I did some more fiscally irresponsible light video game shopping over the weekend. I picked up the following little darlings:

Eternal Eyes for the PlayStation. Cheap price for a cheaper game, but it's an RPG and I feel like I owe it to the genre.

FFVII Dirge of Cerberus for the PlayStation 2. Vincent May Cry? We'll see...

Strider 2 for the PlayStation. Definitely the highlight of the shopping trip. I've always wanted to play these games because Hiryu is drop-dead gorgeous and now I can finally see him in action.

Brigandine Legend of Forsena Strategy Guide. I would say Brigandine is one of my top 15 games of all time, and now I have the guide for it. I'm so excited; I can't get enough of this game. The bad news? The guide is in black and white! Oh well. ^^()

... I was also stupid and forgot to grab a copy of Backyard Wrestling 1 for the PS2 from the flea market. EDIT: The Halo 2 just has the collectors DVD in it and not the game, but I already have the standard version with game so it's ok.

I went back to the booth that had those PS1 games last week... and they had tons more. I grabbed a bunch for reselling (sorry), but I also found a BLACK LABEL copy of Silent Hill which means I now have the entire original line of games in black label form.

The Alien games, don't hurt either! And I already have that Duke Nukem game, but I'm not sure if my copy was kinda scratched (or if it was Land of the Babes, I forget) so this is a nice upgrade.

Oh and I grabbed some Steam games but eh.

Got my FF Type-0 in the mail today, and I also picked up RE5 at Gamestop.

It used to be that I would get a CE of a game and then if a better/more complete version of that game was released later I would trade in the original, keeping all the CE goodies, and pick up the new one. When I put in my collection here, at first I would just make a note - something like "also have the original CE items". But lately I've decided that I'd really like to have those CE's "complete" with the original version of the games they came with, even if that means owning some games twice. So that's why I picked up RE5 today, even tho I already have RE5 Gold Ed. :)

Check out what came in the mail today. Came from a very generous fellow comic message board member. This box was so much fun to go through!

Lots of Official Dreamcast Magazine, Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine, Electronic Gaming Monthly, EGM2, PSM, and GamePro. As well as a BUNCH of demo discs for PlayStation and Dreamcast; some of these have some really cool artwork/ads in them.

And even a full issue of one of the Wizard Magazine PosterMania Specials! (This one from 1998). Which is great because we're looking for a house. When I move I can use the PosterMania in my (hopefully) new man-cave.

I'm also going to have bathroom reading material for a LONG time.

Next I'm going to go through and see what gaming posters I got in the magazines, too!

Two more games have been added into my NES collection, was able to found these titles at Mercado Libre at a very reasonable prices but the best part is that the sellers allowed me to pay these titles in two small payments, I only paid $ 26 bucks for the Rockin' Kats and  for Bucky O' Hare paid $ 38, dunno why but this time they were cheaper at Mexico, even when at this time both of them are kinda rare  ;D

Wait - 64 dollars for both... that's 900 pesos. Holy hell you got a bargain.

Actually a friend told me that I need these titles at my collection, am not pretending to have all the NES titles but he insisted so much that finally decided  to search for them, even when as a kid I never heard anything about these, I live in Mexico so before searching Amazon or eBay decided to give Mercado Libre a try, spoke with the sellers and both agree to accept two small payments in their bank accounts, guess I was a little lucky with them  ;)

In a lot I just won I'm adding Spider Man 2 (GB) and Home Alone 2 (GB), along with maybe some upgrades of carts I have already & manuals. On a more positive note, I got real lucky on some auctions and bought a cart only copy of Chikyuu Kaihougun ZAS.  I also got a GB version of Bomb Jack, Xenon 2 and am expecting Hudson's Castle Quest any day now.

Yeah I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Usually most Goodwills screen stuff like this out for auction on that godforsaken shopgoodwill.com site. I think they must have thought it was a VHS tape since it was mixed in amongst them. However I have zero interest in collecting sealed games so I'm gonna flip it and maybe get one of the more expensive items on my wish list.

 Finding Tomba! was awesome too. It's been on my wish list for a while now and not having to spend $70 for it was a huge plus.

A fun fact I heard about Solar Striker: It's the only shoot-em up Nintendo has ever released on home consoles.

As I was leaving another guy came into the store went straight for the shelf I'd just taken them from. As he left dejected he saw the whole lot in my arms and wailed "Nooooooooooooo!"

We talked for a bit in the parking lot. I showed him what the titles were and assured him I was a fellow gamer/collector not a reseller.

Over the weekend, I found some great goodies. I picked up DDR Max, DDR Max 2 and Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2. Thinking about playing DDR a while ago reminded me of how much I loved the games growing up and I decided I needed to put some of the games back into ye olde collection.

I found a copy of Final Fantasy XIV for the PS3. ...yay? It was the same price as an expensive coffee drink, so at least there's that. I doubt I'll play this one because I don't like MMOs but I do like having all of the numbered Final Fantasy games.

I also found a copy of game called Mystic Heroes. I want to get my partner to start playing games with me and this seemed like mindless fun for the both of us.

My Dreamcast got some major love. I found both Shenmue and Grandia II for crazy cheap prices -AND- with all of the contents -AND- in lovely condition. I've played Grandia II on the PlayStation 2, but the version on the Dreamcast is much better. When the time comes for me to replay it, I'll be playing the Dreamcast version. Shenmue I'm even more excited about because I never got a chance to play it before and, even today, the main character is drop-dead handsome.

If the Dreamcast games were competing in an Olympic sport, they would have earned the silver medal. The gold medalists were amazing, complete and super awesome copies of two Super Famicom games. The first was Far East of Eden Zero. This is a game that I've known about for over a decade, but never thought in a million years I would find a copy of it. The bad news? It won't fit into the Retron 5. I'm not mad about it because I'll find out some way to play the game at some point. The biggest find over the weekend was an amazing copy of Romancing Saga 3. The SaGa series is probably my second favorite series of all time and I now have a copy of one of the best games in said series. I started playing it and, while I was able to understand some of it, I think I may need to install a patch of some sort if I want to play it a regular pace.

TL;DR? Ha! I don't do that. Go back and read about my finds! I do the same thing for you all! ^.~ It was a great weekend.

Nah I accepted the first offer of $175. Maybe I could have gotten more if I waited longer but I only paid $3 for it so I wasn't trying to be too greedy.

Good to know that's what Game Boy Player cases are supposed to look like. I always through that GameStop just stuck mine in some cheap, generic case.

So jealous! I love NES, but since this hobby became more popular in the last few years, it's been harder and harder to find NES carts in the wild. Used to be plentiful as all hell.
