This isn't an issue because the PS3 is region free, but twice now Amazon has sent me European copies instead of the North American versions of PS3 games. First, Lollipop Chainsaw and now The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut.
Has anyone else had this happen to them?
-
It hasn't happened to me. Perhaps you're buying through a third-party seller on Amazon, and that's what the issue is with. I've heard of that happening to other people before. If you were buying directly from the stock in Amazon.com's warehouse, this shouldn't have happened.

I've got multiple language artwork before, but the games have always had the ESRB rating. Did they send you the PEGI rating packages?
Like Abe said, did you buy from a third party seller and not Amazon direct?
-
The Lollipop Chainsaw has a PEGI rating and says "Nordic Edition", and HotD:O has a VSC rating. The packaging is in English though.
One time I bought a LittleBigPlanet 2 special edition as a gift and it had the Canadian packaging too.
They were fulfilled through Amazon but I guess they were 3rd party.

Yeah that would be a deal breaker for me and those games would need to be sent back. I pretty much just collect the NTSC US games.
I guess I'm sticking with Amazon direct from now on.

It's not a dealbreaker for me. They're more of a curiosity than anything.

I've ended up with PAL games for the PS3 when buying on eBay for cheap with no picture, the most recent being Devil May Cry 4. It works just fine...but I had to go find a regular old NTSC copy so it matched the rest of my collection. ???
