Title: No Way To Prevent Own Duplicates?
Post by: seberhusky on April 14, 2015, 11:41:53 am
I noticed this site has no prevention to keep you from accidentally adding the same game to your own database more than once.

It does not. This was brought up early on, but many users had reasons to add more than one copy of the same title to their collection or sell list.

Some users like to list their doubles. A notification would be nice though.

I've never really had an issue with it so far.

There's a way. Just look for your name in the owners list. :p

Or search for the item's name, the results will show if you already have it.

This

-n-

Some users like to list their doubles...

That

pretty much says & covers it all.

I know that I (and the majority of my friends here), like being able to list and/or not list their 'doubles', 'triples', etc. as they see fit  8)

IMO, it's one of those nice -n- harmless features that's great for us who use/like to use it

*And*

is completely inoffensive + easy to ignore/not bother with - for those who choose not to  ;)

what I think should be added is a confirmation window for duplicate items. When I first put my collection on here I ended up with prolly 10-20 errored duplications that I then had to go through my list to delete. sure this was a fault entirely on me but I feel like it wouldn't have happened if there was a confirmation window
