What do you like better? Dreamcast or Gamecube if you had to pick?
-
No freakin contest! Dreamcast all the way!
I like the Gamecube, but it is my least favorite Gen 6 console.
-
I think Dreamcast tech in a Gamecube case would be pretty awesome. :D
I've barely played any games on either console, so I can't really say. I basically hate the controllers for each (too plastic-y), and from a design perspective I much prefer the Gamecube's aesthetic. But I'm not a big Nintendo fan, so I'd probably go with the Dreamcast as well by default.

Dreamcube after Wii U.

This is really tough for me since I'm a huge SEGA _and_ Nintendo fan.
But since I own a Dreamcast and not a Gamecube I guess that's the answer.
-
Both. They've both got great well-known games and hidden gems.
But I guess if I HAD to choose, I'd go with GameCube because of Metroid Prime and Game Boy Player attachment. Metroid Prime was one of the best games of it's generation, and the Game Boy Player is just a wonderful device that makes playing GB games so much nicer looking. And GameCube has pretty much all the RE series up to that point on it, so that's a point in the GC column for me, too.

You're right it had alot of RE's i'm wondering what would of happend of the dreamcast lasted longer or sega decided rather to go bankrupt than make games for the gamecube. Most of the quality games were by sega on the gamecube or capcom, and capcom was heavily invested in the sega consoles by the looks of things so maybe if it lasted longer they wouldn't of signed any exclusive deals for the gamecube. Anyone notice no street fighter on N64?

Yep, both. I am more of a nintendo fan, but gotta give props to both systems.
-
I would barely give the edge to Gamecube because of some of its library, and accessories like the Game Boy Player.
One of the things that makes me sad about the Dreamcast is how many of its great games needed to be imported from Japan, and that there were over 100+ games being developed when the DC was discontinued, some which were games that eventually came out on the other 6 gen platforms. It makes me wonder how well the DC could have done with that library, if other systems' libaries would suffer as a result, and if there would have been a DC2, had Sega not had so many financial problems.
-
Definitely Dreamcast. I love the library of games I played and am still working on getting them. Also, I've been more of a SEGA fan since I was a kid.
-
CUBE
-
No contest here, Gamecube 4 lyfe.
-
GameCube.
I have a dreamcast 2 controllers. 2 memory cards. 2 light guns.
And Zero games.
I will happily accept game donations to sway my vote. :)
-
I used to own a Dreamcast but never played it. I love some Gamecube games though and it has the advantage of the gameboy player which was the real reason I bought one in the first place so Gamecube for me.
-
Only remember playing the Dreamcast a little, but I'd probably say the Gamecube. Played some fantastic games on that, but can't think of any interesting games I've played on the Dreamcast and haven't seen many interesting ones since.
-
Easily Sega Dreamcast. GameCube exclusive titles were excellent though.
-
Dreamcast for there fighting games, 90`s arcade games and few amazing RPG... I finally bought a VGA cable for it and the games look amazing!
Still playing that console today!
-
This basically comes down to whether I like Shenmue or Super Mario Sunshine better. I've played relatively little for either console, but probably more Dreamcast. As of right now, I'd be leaning towards Dreamcast.
-
All i know, is i need more games for both systems still.
-
Uh....DreamCube. Damn it feels good to be a gangsta. Ok, I prefer GameCube more.
-
Right now Dreamcast it seems. I've more than doubled my collection so far in July.
-
I like both systems, but it's the cube hands down for me.
-
Gamecube, hands down. I owned neither when they were new, but I just can't seem to fall in love with the Dreamcast.
