This pretty much is it for me. I hate spiders.... I would have freaked out like a little girl if I saw this happen.

That's game over for me. That's my nightmare, to be surrounded by spiders. Also screw whoever nicknamed that "Angel Hair"...Freaking "Death Hair" is what that is. I don't care if they are the friendliest, lovable, spiders, who cure cancer and make me stronger, I'm going mad cause of that.

Here's my thing. I can't stand needles. I can't even watch someone get a shot on TV. It makes me curl up. Every time I have blood drawn or get a shot I have to lie down. I'll pass out if I don't.

I hate needles too.... I would freak you out with some of the surgerys I have had and where at........ Lets just say, eyelid surgery is horrible. ANd you are awake.

Our house is an older house with a crawl space instead of a basement. Going under there for any reason freaks me out. It's not just the spiders, it's the millipede's and centipede's. It's like the bug scene from "Temple of Doom under there.

Its good some of you don't have my job. Spiders everywhere ;D.
The good news is, im licensed to kill bugs ;D

Rain.
I once spent about 24 hours awake because it wouldn't stop raining and my house had lots of leaks at the time.
So yes, I don't like rain. At all.

That's an odd one. Is it something particular about the rain? I personally find the sound of rain to be pretty soothing.

I have a butterfly phobia.

I have a butterfly phobia.
How did that come about
-
Sunny days. Not exactly a phobia, but I definitely dread and curse the days. The fact that summer is coming up definitely isn't helping either.
Rats. The disease-carrying urban ones, not the ones in the wild. Childhood experiences, historical records, movies, and documentaries further cement my phobia of them.

bad forum threads :o

I live in a desert. It never rains. But every six or seven years we get a massive storm that floods the entire city because we're a desert and it never rains so we don't have anything resembling storm drains.
If the rain doesn't last long, I'm fine. Anything past an hour starts to affect me.

Oh, sorry about that, I read it completely wrong. I thought that was an example of the fear, not what had caused it. My bad.

Cottage cheese (aka ebola) and pregnant bellies.
And heights.

I would say Claustrophobia for me. I can't stand it when people get in my personal space.
-
I hate you leaf..... lol
-
When I first saw pictures and videos of the Huntsman spider I thought they were fake. Nope, that's real. :D
-
It's moths for me. Can't stand the buggers.

Water, heights, and public speaking. I'm a fun person to be around. :P Tornado and air raid sirens also freak me out, but I think that's just a side effect of growing up in Tornado Alley. There are some sounds you will never forget.

I would hate to live in Tornado Alley.... Ill take earthquakes over those haha. We had a micro burst go through once and that was bad
-

not a fan of clowns.
clowns with injections.
-
not a fan of clowns.
Same here, not in a phobia type of way though, more of an urge to punch them in the face type of way... too violent?

Having experienced a couple earthquakes (small ones, mind), I think I'd prefer them over tornadoes too. I know earthquakes have the potential to be considerably more destructive, but few things are worse than that sense of dread I get when I start thinking the sky looks a little green or the clouds are taking on suspicious shapes. An earthquake is over in seconds. You can hear a tornado coming long before it can touch you, if it actually touches you. That wait just gets me every time.
But I gotta say I don't envy the family I have in the gulf. They have to deal with hurricanes.

Nothing could be worse or scarier than a 'lack-o-Laudunum' ;)

^ Haha. I know many people who would tell you the opposite. :P
Back on topic, I've never liked being in rural areas. Urban areas aren't exactly safe, I know, but something about being in a place where your nearest neighbor could be miles away just never sat right with me. I'm not exactly a social butterfly, but I like to at least have a neighbor nearby if something goes wrong. No joke, I have a great aunt in rural Texas who has to take a shotgun with her every time she checks the mail because there are packs of wild dogs and boars around her house. She's also 68 with arthritis. She's one tough cookie.
-
^ I'm the exact opposite. I don't like cities. I like to visit, but I could never live there. I grew up with my nearest neighbor being my uncle that was 1/2 mile or so away. Rural Arkansas... They write banjo songs about it.

I am like you, but I hate big cities, cause I have lived in the big city all my life.
I would like to buy a large chunk of land in like the woods somewhere, build a nice size house and get away from all the noise.

insects in general bug me out, but most def spiders are way worse than any insect
nothing gets my fight/flight response going quite like a spider sneaking up on me in the shower/bed/creeping down from the ceiling
>:( :-[ :o
