I generally like MK for it's ridiculousness, but I'm totally behind this.  As long as they realize this needs to be a hard R movie.

He's got popcorn movie cred via gore and action.

This movie is coming out in an era where, when it comes to action spectacles, the big things are practical effects and fun.

If they keep it simple, they're good to go.
