It's not a secret that Capcom and Konami are two of my main companies from the NES and this last purchase is from the first one, already owned the Mega Man 4 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Man_4) cartridge but I wasn't happy with it cause the sticker has some damage so decided to acquire a second copy, was able found one at Mercado Libre in a condition almost like new with a shiny and complete label for the ridiculous amount of $ 12 bucks, kinda rare to found this kind of stuff here since at Amazon or even eBay is almost at 50, now I got two copies (MM3 & MM4) and really don't know if I had to sell them or keep them both work fine but for collection purposes they don't fit at my collection :-\

Haven't done much video game collecting this summer with all the work I'v been doing but I picked up Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for 2 dollars. I'v never played any in the series and I believe this is a remake of the first one. She must have really wanted a McDouble for that 2 dollars to post it on Kijiji !
-
Picked up a sealed copy of the Game of the Year version of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (PS3) for $5. :)
My other pickups include:
-Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (PSP) - Wanted to experience the rest of the story I was missing up to the events of MGS V.
-Otomedius Excellent (360) - I've heard it really isn't very good, but I bought a sealed copy for cheap since I was a little curious. Who knows when I'll get around to playing it.
-StarTropics (NES) :) - Had fun playing it a few years ago on the Wii's Virtual Console and was happy to find a copy.

Otomedius Excellent is above-average, but it pales in comparision to the rest of the X360 shmups in replayability and fun. At least its better then the original Otomedius for JP X360. Now that game looked and played terribly.

I picked up Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for 2 dollars. I'v never played any in the series and I believe this is a remake of the first one.
Silent Hill Shattered Memories is a sort of reboot of the first game but it's not considered as canon to the series, a lot of concepts differ from the main storyline and I wouldn't say it's the perfect introduction to the series. It's still a good game but if you never played any SH and want the real thing I would suggest Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3, PS2 versions, not the crappy PS3 "HD" ports.
Concerning other episodes:
- SH4: the room and SH Origins are good as well but don't match the 2 & 3
- SH1 is still great but didn't aged well IMO, that may not be the best to start
- SH:Homecoming has great environment quality and presentation but it's plagued with numerous gameplay issues and average storyline that makes it worth only if you want to experience the SH atmosphere with detailled environments, for the fans
- I didn't test SH:Downpour, it didn't look worth it..

More additions in September and it's only the second day! :P The PC games I have actually owned since they were originally released. My first wife was a huge "Sim" fan and collected and played them voraciously. When she passed away back in 2004, I boxed many of her belongings up including these games. I came across them last night while going through old boxes of stuff I have packed away and thought I should add them to my collection.

Alundra disc-only with dust scratches everywhere...but it plays. I've had this for a bit, but decided to add it now. I recently purchased a complete copy of Alundra that has the alternate disc art. I changed the case out for a brand-new one and instead of putting the front panel back in that doesn't hold a disc and has the "PlayStation" logo on it, I put a standard front panel in to hold this second disc. So I basically have a complete copy of Alundra in fantastic condition with the alternate disc art, and an addition copy of the game with the original disc art as well in the same case. Cool! 8)

Today was able to pick up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time at a local store I generally stop at to get most of my games for only $24 and it still has the "Property of Lewis Drug" sticker on the back which I found quite fascinating since it has been like how long since you could rent games from there? ???

^^ This. I would honestly stick to the first four games. They were the ones developed by Team Silent; every game afterward was western developed and I think it shows in how different (IMO worse) it is from the style of the first four games. I would like to at least play Origins though.
If you want to get into the series, I would definitely recommend SH2 first. (PS2, Xbox, PC, but NOT PS3/X360 like Turom said). Then you can either do 1 or 4; I would recommend 1 because 3 follows the first game, and is very good, but it's hard to follow if you haven't played Silent Hill 1, which is what happened to me.

Thank I'll have to check those out as well! Would you suggest playing 2 and 3 on the PS2 before I play the PSP version or does it make a difference?

If you're referring to Origins I played it on PS2: http://vgcollect.com/item/48251
For the others I got this awesome compilation: http://vgcollect.com/item/49457 8)
Origins takes part in the past before the events of SH1, it's nice to understand the setting though I suppose the order suggested by Telly is the way to go: SH2 => SH1 => SH3 since they are really the best episodes.
After that SH4 or Origins, doesn't matter much I believe.

After weeks of waiting, I finally got my copy of Dungeon Travelers 2 (PS Vita) in the mail from Amazon that I had preordered. The calendar is even smaller than I thought it would be, and I had already expected it was going to be tiny. :o
Got some mail yesterday as well. A copy of Front Mission (SFC) with the box and manual, and the Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 Age Age Fan Book (http://vgcollect.com/item/88861).

Technically an August find but I just got it in the mail today so September, but last week the Sony website had Playstation TV's super cheap, $20 for just the console and $40 for the bundle qhich included a Dual Shock 3 controller, an 8gb Memory Card, and a digital copy of Lego: The Movie: The Game (The Book: The Novel: The Ride: The Breakfast Cereal: The Experience: On Broadway: On Ice). I bought the bundle since a new DS3 costs around that anyway, and silly proprietary Playstation memory cards the same.
Not really sure what to do with this other than being a complete asshole and making it portable again, and Vita support is completely substandard to say the least, so I'll at least look into cFW to softmod it to run more than a handful Vita games. Hopefully Sony gets their head out of the sand and update it some themsevles but you know how that goes. :-\ I think they are blaming the Vita touchpad for not full Vita compatibility which is completely asinine, with the DS4 controller touchpad on the front. Oh well.

It's also capable of emulating the Vita's front and back touchpads with both the DS3 and 4. It's turned off by default (at least on mine it was), but when you turn it on, you can press L3 to bring up a pointer for the front touchscreen and R3 for the back (or maybe the other way around, I haven't used it a lot).

I always liked Okami when I originally played it on the PS2. Recently picked up a dirt-cheap like-new copy for the Wii at Gamestop and figured what the hell...I'll get the PS2 one again and get the DS one while I'm at it.

I actually really enjoyed my PSTV, and it's great for folks who have accumulated a lot of Vita games through PS+. For some games, it's nice to be able to play it on a big screen. I had fun with Freedom Wars, and considering the amount of stuff going on and button mashing, I was really glad I was using a controller and a TV monitor versus a $200 handheld.
If anything, I know folks really like the remote play-PS4 option, so it's really what you make of it.

Got some Genesis games from a friend today. Burning Force, Revenge of Shinobi, Ranger X and Thunder Force II!
All are loose carts. He had a good deal on them seeing how expensive some of them are individually.
-
My packages came in today and I got these from GS:
Dark Souls II CE ( X360)- Gonna sell the sealed game since I already have a copy
Klonoa ( Wii)
Unfortunately, Klonoa had a huge scratch on the front label of the disc, so I'm waiting to see if I can get a replacement on that, along with Guilty Gear 2 Overture, since that game's disc had a huge crack on the back of the disc as well.
Edit: Just went to Goodwill by my house and found Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for $2!! It had everything except for the manual, but hey I'll take it. It's been 4 months since I've seen anything decent there.

Ranger X is awesome! I especially love the game design variety and the unique controls of this game.
I was able to catch a CIB copy last year:

I've been busy over the past couple of weeks since I'm going back to college, and I finally got a chance to get to my local thrift stores and game shop...
All the PS2 games and FIFA Street 2 for GameCube were found at my two local Salvation Army stores and the PS1 games were found at Goodwill. Unfortunately, most are missing their manuals (I happened to have the manual for Burnout 2 so that's now complete); except for GTA Vice City, which has its manual, but is missing its map/poster, Gran Turismo is missing the Reference Manual, and Crash Bandicoot Warped is missing the disc and the manual, but it has the lenticular/holographic cover.
I also found this at Goodwill. No, it's not an Australian edition, I just can't figure out how to rotate the pic.
Black and Operation Winback are from my local game store and the rest I bought online.

Digiblast
This I have a huge thank you to fellow VGCollector Fazerco, He donated these Digiblast systems and games to my collection. Where they will stay in my collection for as long as I collect video games. I now have the main 3 Digiblast's that came out. (that I know off) ::)
- A Blue Digiblast (in great shape I might add) :)
- A Silver Digiblast CIB with Winx
- Rayman 3
- DigiQuad
Again thanks Fazerco, I will love these in my collection and they mean more to me knowing someone wanted me to have them. :D
Last something I've been watching for a long time, an extremely rare game console that was only released in Japan and only six games where ever released. I've seen it many times on Ebay but it was always System only and they where pricy.
Well one popped up that not only had the system complete in box but had three games with it. :o I've never seen games for this system. And I ended up getting it all for the same price a system only goes for. ;D
A Gakken Compact Vision TV Boy
- Chitaiku (Scramble)
- Robotan Wars (Robotron 2084) had manual
- Frogger
Now onto the garage sales...
I go out on Thursday and I must have hit about 20 sales and I only found one game. :-\
GB
- F-1 Race
I saw in mixed with a bunch of junk and asked how much and he said take it. Can't argue free. lol :P
On Friday I see a couple ads for "Video Games" including one that had NES, SNES, Genesis, 32X, etc..
I hit that one first thing and get there an hour before they listed they would open. I was expecting a line of resellers but I get there and they are already setting up. I think crap odds are there was already a reseller here. I get up the driveway and the guy there said that someone came yesterday night and bought everything. :'( Then I asked what he had for SNES games and price. He said it had five games and all was loose and sold for $150. :o I said you mean all of it sold for $150? and he said "no just the SNES and games, I must have priced it too low" Yikes ether this system had some incredible games with it or someone paid out the butt. lol
So I raced to the other video game sale and it wasn't open yet, I looked at the ad on my phone and saw they changed the start time from 8am to 10am. so I decided to hit some sales not far off near a flea market... and oh boy did I have some finds. ;D
Hit a sale and found a PS1 4-player adapter for $1 and a Twisted Metal Black guide for .50c.
Stopped at a sale and asked about games, the old man telling No we have nothing like that, I take a quick look and see a Blue PS2 controller sealed and priced at $3.
next sale I find a Armatron complete in box for $1, it's not a video game but I thought it looked so nerdy and cool I couldn't say no. lol As I walk to the lady to pay for my Armatron I see this young man scanning and buying a bunch of board games. (I hate these guys) I place the Armatron on the table and he picks it up and scans it. Then asks me if he could buy it. I tell him no. Then I ask the lady about games and she points to a box. I go over and open it and see an Atari 2600 complete in box. I lift up the Atari see a small box of games and a Game Boy Storage Case CIB. I Open the box and see there's a Game Boy in the case with 4 games. Then the reseller comes over and tries to grab some of the stuff and I push him away and tell him please don't touch it I'm looking to buy it. Then he starts talking about how valuable the Atari is. (Did I tell you I hate these guys) lol So I offer $20 a piece for the Atari and Game Boy lot and the seller said she will go $50 for both and as I paid the reseller was pissed and stormed away with his board games mumbling to himself. lol
Atari 2600
- Near Complete System, 2 Joysticks, Paddles, Hookups only thing missing was the manual.
- Space Invaders
- Warlords
- Phoenix
- Asteroids
- Pac-Man
- Combat
- Missile Command
- Grand Prix
GB
- Game Boy in great shape
- Game Boy Storage Case (case is a little beat up but the box is in excellent shape.)
- Tetris (with manual)
- Super Mario Land (with manual)
- Kwirk (with manual)
- Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (with manual)
Next I hit a bunch of sales in a small neighborhood and found nothing, then was driving to head out when I see a lady setting up a single table of odds and ends in her front yard. I drive up and ask from my car about games. She thinks a minute and says her husband has a ton of games but he'll kill me if she sells any of it. I was about to say okay thanks and drive off when she added, but I think I still have my Nintendo I can sell. My eye's lit up and she says she'll be right back. I pull over and wait outside her house when She calls out from a storm cellar she invites me inside. So I go inside and she's going through several boxes and finds nothing. After a while she tells me sorry to waste your time. I thank her for trying and was about to leave when she says, Wait I think it's upstairs and tells me to tippy-toe and follow her because her baby was asleep. So I quietly follow her to her living room and see her husbands game collection. About 20 PS1 games, 20 PS2 games and about 40 PS3 games. I look them over and see nothing exciting, she searches through a few cabinets and says she found it. It was a SNES with 2 controllers, all hookups and 4 games. She told me to make an offer so I start with the usual $20 and by her reaction I think could have gotten it for $5. lol Here's the games.
SNES
- Super Mario World (x2)
- Super Mario All-Stars
- Donkey Kong Country 2
its about 10am and that sale that advertised video games should be opening. I get there a little after 10 and see 2 small tables out on her lawn. The only video game stuff I see is a stack of SNES sport games, a stack of guides and some crappy 360 games. I'm thinking someone beat me to the good stuff. But I buy the 4 sport games at .25c a piece, they where in great shape and if nothing else be used to replace bad backs on other games. I find 2 guides worth buying and ask her if she had anything else video game to sell. She says she has a N64 but wasn't sure she wanted to sell it. I ask what color it was and she says Purple. :o So I ask if she plays it anymore and she says no, and she says let me show you what I got and goes inside to get it. I'm excited because I'm still missing a Purple N64. She comes out with a Jungle Green N64, 3 controllers, rumble pak and one game. (system has extra ram pak) I ask how much would she sell it for and she says I'd let it go for $75. I told her if it was the purple one I might go that high but I can't for the green one. She then says $50 I say can you go $40 then she says $45 and I say ya I can do that. I'm guessing she got Purple from the Atomic Purple controller. :-\ But I can't beat a Jungle Green N64 and a good game for $45. ;D

And last I hit a sale that was WAY out in the boonies at a farm house. From the first sign I saw it took me several miles to find this place. I look around a see a Pac-Man Plug n Play for $1. I see nothing else and I ask the man if he had anything video game to sell. He says he has an old Sega. I tell him I'd love to see it and he goes to find it. He comes out with 2 boxes (yay) I look in the first one and its and Atari 2600 (sears 6-switch heavy) For being a rare console I sure find this version a lot lately. There was also an Atari 7800 in the box and a bunch of common loose games. I ask price and he says $150. ya... I'll pass. Then I look in the second box and see Atari, NES, SNES BOXES. :o All empty (except one I find out later) and there was even a baggy full of manuals. I asked if he had the games for the NES boxes and he said no, his son took the NES a long time ago. I pull out an Atari TrakBall and put it with the boxes and ask what he'd want just for the Trakball and all the empty boxes. He looked confused. You want all the empty boxes? I said ya I love to display them in my game room. He said $10 for the TrakBall and I could take the empty boxes. lol When I got home and looked through the boxes I found something I didn't notice. The Atari Game Kaboom was a Sealed game. ;D
The boxes I got where...

I got Rayman Legends for Wii U from a garage sale today. I also got a bunch of other stuff from it...
Wow, that's some cool (and very recent :o ) garage sales finds! Congrats!
As I mentioned in the most wanted wishlisted items thread, I just decided to order Wonderbook: Book of Potions and Wonderbook: Walking With Dinosaurs! Hopefully I'll be getting them soon. :)
I also hit a few garage sales yesterday, but all I could find were goodies. :( I did manage to find a mint 1989 McDonald's Paratroopa! And a few Mario danglers, along with a Pikachu plush.

A close friend of mine is selling a ton of games, and was nice enough to give me first dibs and lower pricing. I couldn't afford to go too crazy, but snagged Xenogears, Koudelka, and Chrono Cross for $60 total. Damn good deal, imo!

That is a ridiculous deal!
You just reminded me that I need to ask a local collector who us selling like 90% of his collection off if he'd be willing to sell some gems to me.

Oo, I'm curious if that's any good! I'm using a web program right now, but it'd be nice to have something to help learn katakana and just reinforce the basics.

It is actually pretty good. I haven't used it in a while, but it's got some useful exercises that help practice with writing and memorizing kana if that's what you're looking for.

Yeah you must be spending hundreds of bucks a week dang. Hopefully you got a promotion at work with a big fat raise :) or won the lottery :D
-
GF needs an intervention! :o
I have one .hack game and I'm not too crazy about it, or the idea of buying more entries in the series. It's one of my few PS2 games I might consider shedding.

:'( Ugh....a lot? I've probably spent around $200 for the .hack games altogether. The most expensive being Quarantine.
-

I had a run of good luck and ended up with a bit of spending cash. I didn't really plan on getting the .hack games anytime soon, but I found the first one cheap in St. Louis. A week later, found the second for the reasonable price of $20. Then this past weekend, found the third for $20. Well dang, now I needed to have the others which unfortunately, are pretty pricey. Lucked out on a set of all the .hack//G.U. series for $120. And finally, my nephew graciously helped me out with winning a bid for Quarantine. So I ended up spending a couple hundred, and my nephew chipped in a bit more and...I have the complete collection now.
...except, now I'm eyeing the PSP special edition with bonus Blu-Ray discs. :'( I think I do need an intervention! All kidding aside, my spending cash is pretty much kaput now and I will just be riding out my preorders for the rest of the year. Maybe I'll scavenge a title here or there, but I've been blessed to be able to get all the goodies that I have. Happy hunting everyone!

Got the Hatsune Miku 3DS game today
Saw this at a game store the other day and was so tempted to buy it. Good pickup!
I just recently grabbed F 2nd, because it finally dropped to $20. But I bet the 3DS game doesn't last long, lots of little girls own a 3DS. :-X

Picked up a sealed copies of The Best of PlayStation Network Vol. 1 (PS3) for $1, and Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 (PS Vita) $5. :)
Still waiting on my copies of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4) and Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX (3DS) to come in the mail. :(

Yeah, I preordered it from Amazon.ca back when they had their preorder promotion during E3 for 30% off your order if you preorder 3 or more games. I chose the free shipping option, which has been painfully slow recently. It'll probably be another week before I get it. :'(

Aw, I'm sorry :( At least you got a nice discount... We got ours on release day, but the bf is still playing through Peace Walker for the first time and needs to play through GZ again before TPP... But he's enjoying the journey :)

Damn it, that might explain why they still haven't shipped my Tearaway ... I was thinking they might ship it with Mario Maker, but if they're taking their sweet time, it might be in a while for me too then... I wonder what's going on :-\

No idea what's going on. They never used to be this slow, even with the free "super saver" shipping. :-\ This already happened with Dungeon Travelers 2 from the same preorder. It was more than two weeks after its release before I got it in the mail, which also happened to be on the very last day of their delivery estimate. It's like they intentionally shipped it as late as they possibly could.
-
^^^ I hope you all get the games you ordered soon! :o That sounds stressful
Because I passed my all senior year competencies and med calculation exams, I rewarded myself and picked up Golden Sun for GBA at my local game store. :) Now I have an excuse to get a Game Boy Player now that I have a really good game to play on it.
-
I've had a game get here a couple of days late because USPS decided sending it through Tampa instead of directly to Orlando was a great idea, but nothing that bad. I'd send them a complaint or something regarding that.
-

The issue here isn't with the mail carrier, it's that Amazon just isn't shipping the preorders until weeks after release. I could complain to Amazon.ca's customer service, but since the items are still technically arriving before the ridiculously late arrival estimates that Amazon provides, I doubt they would do anything about it. If it weren't for that 30% off E3 promotion they had (which saved me a great deal of money), I would've preordered this stuff somewhere I can go pick it up on release day. :(
While on topic of how crappy Amazon can be, I'd like to also mention that they often do a terrible job packing their games. They seem to have no problem shipping a $50-$60 game in a s***** little bubble mailer, yet they'll send books of around the same size that cost $20 or less in nice big boxes. >:( Last year when I preordered the Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus limited edition from them, they shipped the damn thing in a bubble mailer and it was crushed by the time I got it. I sent it back and requested a new one and unsurprisingly they shipped the replacement in a bubble mailer as well. The replacement was still damaged a little, but not as bad as the first time. Now today, when I went to check the listing for Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX on Amazon, it seems that other users (who have actually received theirs already) are having the same issues with crushed boxes like I did with Senran Kagura. Now I'm worried that by the time I finally get my copy in a couple weeks, it'll be messed up too. >:( :'(
Sorry for the long rant. :-[

Congrats. :) The Game Boy player is awesome. If you don't already have one, I recommend getting a GBA to GameCube link cable so that you can use it as a controller with the Game Boy Player. I find it's a lot better than just using the GameCube controller.

Huh, that's interesting! I have one already, but can all Game Boy games be controlled that way on the GameCube? Even if it doesn't say it's compatible on the box or anything?

Yes, you should be able to do that. I've been able to do this with my Gamecube setup, and the control scheme is applicable to any Game boy line games.

Yep, any game. The text on the slip over the case for the start-up disc says "Control game play with a Nintendo GameCube Controller or plug in the Nintndo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable, and use a Game Boy Advance system as a controller."

It's not a doubt that Capcom used to be my favorite company when I was younger so this time decided to remember those old times with another title from this company also because the husband of my little sister claims that he is a retro gamer every time that I kick his ass at any recent fighting game, got very lucky to find a mint cartridge of the Super Street Fighter II (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Street_Fighter_II) with an almost new label for only $ 12 bucks also the same seller has the strategy guide of Haunting Ground and since it was at only $ 6 dollars decided to add it to my collection, dunno why but this title is being consider rare and really dunno why :-\

That's really cool, thanks you two for the info! :) That's a much better option since the GameCube D-pad isn't the best out there

Congrats! It's definitely motivating to reward yourself with a good game :) I haven't played Golden Sun yet, but it's on my list for sure. It looks amazing :)
My Tearaway was shipped just this afternoon along with my Mario Maker, so I guess I'm good to go! I'll miss the postman since I'll be at work though, so no Mario Maker for me until Monday. Luckily, I should be able to keep myself busy until then ::)

And the Salvation Army store delivers again!

DMC2 is missing disc 1, but had the disc for DMC1 instead, Red Dead Revolver has the Greatest Hits Disc (Thanks, GameStop!), Need For Speed Underground 2 is from the Need For Speed: Collector's Series box set, and I just now noticed that Halo 2 was in the box for the copy of Halo 3 I bought there 6 months ago.

NFSU2? I put a ton of hours into that game back in the day. It's one of the best racers of the gen.

A few more pickups. I've wanted to get the PlayStation Underground collection forever and found all but four together for $20. I actually spent more for three of the ones I was missing at that point. The only one I am missing is 5.1 which everyone seems to forget existed. It was in a DVD-case size digipak with Twisted Metal Black on the cover and was all on a single DVD disc. I won't rest until I hunt that one down now!

Im pretty sure I have that. :o
Lol...you probably do. A lot of people don't realize it was an Underground issue for several reasons.
1) The case was completely different. Instead of a gatefold CD-sized digipak, it was a simple DVD-sized digipak.
2) The Playstation Underground logo was nowhere to be found. Instead, it was the PlayStation symbols across the top with "PlayStation Underground" in small writing underneath.
3) It was dominated by the visage of Sweet Tooth which led many to think it was just a Twisted Metal Black demo disc.
4) Everything was on a single DVD instead of two discs.
5) It was the one and only, lone issue to be packaged this way.
With all that being said, I will not rest until I own this. >:(

WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS? Seriously this is the coolest find ever! Demo discs are awesome IMO and finding all of them for this low of a price... color me jealous.

A local guy who is a casual acquaintance had them. He got them all when they were released through a subscription just like I did. For whatever reason, he was missing three random issues and the last one. So I had to find 1.2, 1.4 and 3.3 on my own and ended up paying more for those three than the thirteen I got from him. But it was a pretty good deal all around when you look at it as a whole. Once I have everything together, I'm going to upload pics of them as well as all my .hack and Xeno series games.
You can find the majority of them on eBay fairly easily, but on there you will generally pay between $15-20 for a single used issue.

I show up at the time I told to come back and the guy wasn't there yet. While I was waiting the original guy who said he had nothing said he had some Genesis games. He comes out with a stack of Sport games and a few PS1 games. I got the one PS1 game for $5 and the few Genesis games for $1 each. Also a Nintendo Bag for $2.50.

And last sale of the Neighborhood sales I asked about games and the lady points to a table of glassware. I asked if she'd take $10 for all four and she said yes, please get them outta my sight. lol
GEN
- Ecco the Dolphin (loose)
- LHX Attack Chopper
- Alien 3
- Dungeons & Dragons
On Thursday I only found that N64 and those 2 odd PS2 games. I was heading home when I remembered a sale that wasn't open when I passed by it earlier. It wasn't far from my house so at the last second I passed my house and decided to check it out. I get there and ask about games, the lady said I was the third person to ask. Then she starts talking to her husband about that N64 they wasn't sure if it worked. I said I'd still love to see what you got. Her husband brings out a huge tub FULL of classic video game consoles and games. After looking through it I asked a price, they didn't know if they wanted to sell it and asked what I would pay. Always check the board games section at Savers/Goodwill!!!
Found Freddi Fish 3, CIB Big Box version that looks near mint the other day. First time finding a PC game that isn't trash in that area so it definitely was worth it.
-
Not especially "exciting" per se, but I did pick up Ultra Street Fighter IV on PS4. Drastically better looking than the PS3 version, no input lag, cool new characters, and ohhhhmahgaw, the DS4 is like butter for fighting games. I did find out that my PS3 stick works on PS4 though, and the DS4 works on PS3!
-
Got Sol-Feace for Sega CD in the mail today. I also got a case for Ghouls N ghosts for Genesis as well as manuals for Sega 6-Pak and Arcade Classics.
-
Been a little bit since I got something physical, but with my amiibo's from Amazon coming in today, I had a few things to share for once. Got a new 3DS case that is Zelda based, looks like a leather pouch and comes with a sword and shield topped stylus. Overall really nice, but they kinda stupidly put the game holder underneath the loose flap, instead of inside the zipper section of the pouch the system sits in. I don't trust putting them there, which is the one downside. Grabbed Metal Gear Solid HD Collection so I can replay MGS3 and play Peace Walker for the first time. After beating MGSV, I need the refresher and to learn information I didn't have. And of course got the two Amiibos I wanted, which was Ganondorf and 8 Bit Mario.
Also got a cool poster from Gamestop for free for Mario Maker. Don't have the game yet, but it's a nice poster of all the main Mario games.

I have that pouch and it's super cool! The other stupid part though is that if you put the sword and/or shield stylus on the front, then the flap doesn't even close completely... they really didn't think about that enough ::) Otherwise though, it's amazing, and super cool :) I love mine!

That Mario Maker poster is awesome! It would go along great with the Club Nintendo Zelda timeline poster:

Very inclusive. But where's Mario Bros. (classic)?

I figure Nintendo looks at Super Mario Bros as the real beginning of the series than what Mario Bros was, since Super is when they cemented the world and characters of Mario than the more minigame nature of Mario Bros. I do like they make nods to Mario Bros and Wrecking Crew in Mario Maker.

Since I just picked up the PSTV not too long ago I've had my eye on Target, which is currently clearancing out all their Vita merch, some old PSP stuff, and others. A lot went from 30% off to 70% on Monday so time to check it out. Not all of these are gonna work on the PSTV of course, but from getting a small taste of the vita from the PSTV I'm sure I'll get an actual one at some point, plus I got my eye on a whitelist bypass. Anyway:

Has been some time since the last time I have purchased a title for the 360 but this one was a must have and not only because my nick name is related to it, in fact I saw it yesterdad at GameStop for only $8.65 bucks which is a very nice deal because it's complete and also cause here at Mexico is a least $ 23 dollars plus shipping, have to admit that I was looking for the Metroid Other M but there was no copy of it so today am adding the Dead or Alive 5 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_or_Alive_5) to my collection ;D

I finally got my two Wonderbook games! :D I've been wanting them for so long, I don't even remember since when. Now I'm just missing Diggs Nightcrawler if I want the complete Wonderbook series :) I'll probably import it someday just for the heck of it. Someday.
And now I can't wait to dig up some dinosaurs!

More Target clearance things for me from a wildly inconsistent Target store clearance pricing. Pretty sure they are all priced from the same central computer, but things seemed off here. For example they had a Max Payne 3/GTA IV double pack for 360 for $7.48, yet they had the same thing for PS3 but for $28.98. A three year old Baseball game (MLB2K13) was $24.98 while last year's PS4 Baseball game (MLB 14 the show) was less than that. NHL 13 for PS3 (again a 3 year sports game) was $14.98. Strange, but anyway there was still some stuff to buy:
Vita:
Lego Chima sticker said $9.98 but it was $5.98
Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus $5.98
PSP:
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker $5.98
Killzone Liberation $2.98, which I really only bought because it had an armored Grumpy Cat on the cover:

Had a Kickstarter for a Movie called Nintendo Quest come in. It's about a guy trying to get all 678 NES games in 30 days. What's cool about the edition I got is it comes with a NES cart, box, and the soundtrack is on cassette.
-
Killzone Liberation $2.98, which I really only bought because it had an armored Grumpy Cat on the cover:

Hahah, I'd never seen it that way either!

A guy I know got this the other day and decided to set up a movie night with it tomorrow :D
I was too impatient, so with a couple traded games, I got Super Mario Maker and saw that they had some little Fallout mystery boxes, and grabbed one that just happened to have the one single figure I wanted in it lol

I did manage to find the following though...
Interactive Figures
Splatoon 3-Pack - It's taken 3 months but I finally managed to get one of these. :)
Shortcut (Trap Team) - Took advantage of a Gamestop sale they have going where all of their Trap Team figures New are 50% off. I managed to get most of them on the B2G3F sale used but guys like Shortcut and Wallop have proven to be harder to find.

Just a couple quick pick-ups, one a 99Gamers.com acquisition, and the Wii game a $5 pick-up:
Now all I need are the first 3, early WCW games, and I have them all (WCW (NES), SuperBrawl (SNES), and WCW vs. The World (PS1)). I'm a huge wrestling fan, and WCW is my favorite organization in wrestling history. So it's cool to be that close to completing the set.

Today the curse continues. This morning was the release of Skylanders Superchargers. I picked up the Dark edition for the Wii U which comes with Donkey Kong and his vehicle, Spitfire and his vehicle, and a Kaos trophy which allows you to play as him and supposedly his vehicle as well. Not to mention also got Frightfull Fiesta (Gamestop character) with his vehicle, Dive Clops and his vehicle, and a new legendary Jet-vac.

I bought a 7" Toshiba Encore Mini Windows 8.1 Budget Tablet to use mainly for my 3D Printer for $25. It's pretty not bad, suprisingly.
Low screen resolution (1024x600) so I moved the taskbar to the side. Runs my printing program fine and lower end steam games that I've tested so far; obviously it's not going to play bleeding edge new pc games, but Shovel Knight works great, as does Hatoful Boyfriend lol. Not going to bother with installing my modeling program for 3D prints (resource and overkill for these types of projects really) AutoCAD but may consider trying out my copy of Photostop CS4 Micro but will probably end up trying out GIMP. Gonna test out some emulators soon as well.
Also, Games from a different Goodwill and Target that I hit on the way back from a medical test, but first look at these gross batteries I saw.(http://portablesofdoom.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/batteries2.jpg)
Would definitely hate to see what the terminals looked like on whatever these came from. That energizer one in the middle you can see it's almost flattened. Anyway, from Goodwill and Target:
Goodwill:
God of War $3
Kingdom Hearts $5
Rally Cross 2 $2
(Danzig era) Misfits shirt (as far as I'm concerned) $4
Target:
Unit 13 $4.48. No idea how I found this still here, since I saw some clearance pickups of this game all the way back in April. It was in the cases mismarked as a different $19.99 game. Surprised nobody bothered to read the label and notice it didn't match for 5 months.
Lego Batman 2 was $5.98.
They had some other cool stuff, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus but it was scanning $9.98 still (compared to the $5.98 posted earlier) and Call of Duty which was cheaper than the $24.98 it was listed at but didn't remember the price since I really had no other interest in it.

Yep. The only unsightly blemish on the outside is .hack//G.U Reminisce. The insert over the top manual tab is indented in on the "PS" logo on the top right side. You can see the perfect outline of the tab cutout. It's not torn at all, but it's quite clear. >:(

Omg.. I hadn't realized the anniversary ps4 had fantastic looking molding like this on the face plate.. Its beautiful.. Now I want one...
-
Aw, that's the worse, isn't it?
It's aggravating for sure. But honestly? I was pretty stoked to complete these two sets. And with their rarity and outrageous prices, I'm content with what I got. I will probably slide a thin piece of cardboard behind the front insert whenever I think about it. This works pretty well for "pushing out" these types of indentations and making them look flat.
And I noticed most of what you can see in the pic is the light reflecting off the plastic. If you slide the insert out, it doesn't look nearly as bad. I might just have to swap the cases out for another "lesser" PS2 game. LOL. :P

Omg.. I hadn't realized the anniversary ps4 had fantastic looking molding like this on the face plate.. Its beautiful.. Now I want one...
The only part that doesn't have the plastic molded like that is the removable HDD cover with the "PS" logo on it. It's smooth. The system is packaged with a thin plastic film that you have to remove over the glossy HDD cover. I left it on.
The controller also has the anniversary pattern on the touchpad all over it. The standalone 20th anniversary controller doesn't have the anniversary pattern, but rather the dot pattern like a standard DualShock 4 controller. That is how you can differentiate the one included with the system and the one you can buy in any store.
A few other tidbits I noticed about the system. The box it comes in is actually heavier than the PS4 itself. It's a very, very nice black box with individual compartments for each part. The stand and controller have plastic wrapper around them. The cables and mono chat earpiece (also in classic gray) are in a black box as is the paperwork for the system. Sony really went all-out on the system. All of the manuals, pamphlets, etc. are special. Instead of being printed in blue pamphlets like all other PS4 systems, they are white and each one has the 20th Anniversary logo and designation in full color on them.
the only curiosity I found with the entire thing is that the camera stand (classic gray) and a few little pamphlets about PSN are not in the box with the system, but instead shipped in a bubble baggie outside of the system box. As thick as the box is, they could have just made a precision cutout under the console space to hold the camera stand since it folds out completely flat.
That small issue aside, this is the most beautiful, limited console I have ever seen and as a PlayStation fan since the beginning, I couldn't be happier to have it. To open it, I used a razor-sharp knife to gently slice around the side panel on three sides, essentially leaving the thick plastic seal as a flap on one side. I then gently slid the black inner box out of the white outer box to check the contents, see the number and bask in the glorious sight and smell of fresh plastic and electronics. 8)

Today was an interesting day to be an employee at Gamestop. The store manager came up to me right before I was leaving and said he had to ask me a question. He had something in his hand I could barely see but it was enough for me to recognize it. I was like "Is that an E3 exclusive Skylander?" He nodded and said that someone gave it to him and he knew exactly who would want it. Needless to say I was pretty stoked. It retails for about $100 and isnt a common item at all. I cant wait to get a display box for it. :) Here is what it looks like -

Sorry for the late post, but I woke up sick on Saturday.
Had some nice picks ups on the two days I was able to go out.
First the store/online pickups...
PS3
- Steins;Gate - Limited Edition
Vita
- Steins;Gate - Limited Edition
Atari 2600
- Princess Rescue
This was a game I was hunting for ever sense I found out about it. Someone took the time and make a playable Super Mario Bros. on the Atari 2600, he renamed it Princess Rescue and tried selling it on Atari Age, well not long after Nintendo caught wind of it and put a stop to it threatening a lawsuit. So the game was pulled and only a small amount of copies got out to the public. The few games that have appeared on Ebay sell for $300+ now. I found one and got it for less then half.
Now onto the Garage Sales...
Found a Mario Kart Race Track, I mainly wanted the cool Metal Bowser, I only show the Karts, Bowser and a few random items but it did have the track and other accessories. Got the whole box for $2.
Found a whole bunch of random plug and plays for $1 each.
But then a young girl there told me she had a Game Boy and brings out a Game Boy Advance (101 model) and tells me she wanted $1 for it. She said she didn't have the charger. But then said she thinks she has a DS, goes in and in a short while comes back telling me she couldn't find the DS but did find the GBA charger.
360
Found this crappy game sealed for $1.
- The Biggest Loser
Wii
Stopped at a sale and I asked the lady about games and she said she might have something, so goes in and brings out a box full of Wii. It was all snicklefretz games, but I pucked out the games I was missing and got them for $1 a piece.
- Call of Duty 3
- 50 Great Games
- Wing Island
- Cabela's Big Game Hunter
- Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009
Stopped at a junky looking garage sale and when I asked about games, the lady goes into the back of the garage and shows me an Atari 2600 and a bag of games. She was asking $10 for it all and I couldn't saw no. lol
- Berserk
- Outlaw
- Frogger (x2)
- Combat
- Football
- Space Invaders
- Donkey Kong
- Pitfall
- Freeway
Stopped at an estate sale and found a box full of game stuff, but it was mostly empty boxes and cords. A few had games I took the whole box and asked the lady how much and was told $2. Sure why not. lol
Wii
- Star Wars the Clone Wars
- Wii Sports
PS3
- Resistance 2
- Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe
The rest was empty boxes, including a PS3 system box, PSP box and Original Xbox box. Also several empty cases for PS3 and PSP games.
NDS
Stopped at a sale and asked about games and the lady pulls out a couple crappy Wii games I already had, but as I was leaving another lady there pulled a DS game out of a garbage bag and told me I could have it for $1.
- Art Academy
PS2
Found this random PS2 game for $2.
- NFL Street 3
PSP
A sale advertised Playstation so I stopped there early and saw it was a PSP with 16 games. Most all the games where crappy sport games, then I saw it was a PSP version I was missing. A Blue PSP. It was only $25 for it all so I couldn't resist.
- NBA Live 10
- MLB 09 The Show
- NBA 09 The Inside
- FIFA Soccer 08
- The Bigs 2
- WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007
- WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2010
- Madden NFL 09 (loose)
- In Just One Play (UMD video, Loose)
- Thrillville: Off the Rails
- Shaun White Snowboarding
- World Series of Poker
- MX vs ATV Untamed
- Metal of Honor Heroes 2
- Buzz Master Quiz
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
Stopped at a sale and asked about games, the guy told me he had a bunch of stuff but it was at his other house. :(
Then He said He had some xbox stuff here and went to go look for it. As I wait one of the worst resellers shows up. He sees the movies and starts scanning them and brings a stack over to buy. And then he sees me, he starts talking to me and asks about what I'm waiting for and I don't answer him and he tries to wait with me for a while (thank god the people took awhile to find the games) and he finally leaves. He finally brings out a large tub full of original Xbox and Xbox 360 games. I ask what he would want for the games and I get their different prices. :( So I pick out a few I was interested in and he told me he'd sell the 4 I picked out for $15. Okay not bad...
Xbox
- Advent Rising
- Guilty Gear X2
- Star Wars: Republic Commando
- Steel Battalion: Line of Contact
Then his sister said she had a game she wanted to sell and runs inside. She brings out a CIB Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask Collector's Edition with a strategy guide. Her brother pulls out his phone and said he'll look up what it goes for. I said quickly Look I know this game sells for more, it can go for over $50 I can offer $20 for it. and the sister said yes.
Hit a random sale and asked about games, The lady said she had a Sega. She brings out a Sega Genesis (model 2) and a Playstation both like new in their boxes. And she only wanted $10 for the pair. :)
And last I stopped at a sale and saw a stack of Xbox 360 games, all priced at $8 a piece and where mostly sport and games I didn't need. I asked if they had any older games and the girls there said they will ask their sister. She comes back out with a stack of SNES and N64 games. I quickly look through them and ask a price for it all and was told $15. They had more but I guess this is all her sister would part with.
N64
- Ken Griffey Jr's Slugfest

- Goldeneye 007
SNES
- NBA Showdown
- Super Caesars Palace

- Wario's Woods
- Taz-Mania
- Jungle Book
- Pinocchio

Hey Flea. have you gotten the world record video game collection yet? I was looking at the 2016 world record book and saw that the record was 10460 or something like that. Not knowing how that record is counted (If it includes duplicates) I Instantly thought that record was you.

While my counter says 11,251 items. I'm not sure exactly what they count. I know games (no dups) not sure about variants, (I think those should count) Do they count homebrews & reproduction carts? (again I think they should count) I believe consoles and some accessories would count. In my VGC count are a few toys, Guides, Digital games, which would not count. I'm at the point where if they did an official count of what they consider what counts as part of ones gaming collection I'd be just under or over the current record. My games alone is at a little over 10,500 (but that does include variants) Add consoles to that number and its over the current record. (which is 10,607) Some of my family want me to contact Guinness now, but I kinda want to be sure I can beat the record. Like maybe when my games alone are over 11,000, its a nice bragging right for sure, but I'm not in any hurry. And one thing is for sure, I wont sell my collection after getting the title. lol In fact when he sold his collection it was at a little over 11,000. But still the "official" number to beat is 10,607 and I guess I don't have to worry about him reclaiming the record sense he sold it. :P
Funny thing I swear I've seen other collector's with collections as big or bigger (at least from appearance) and I don't know if they just don't want the attention or just don't care about the title.

It's been a while since I read it, but I think you are probably close to the record for most systems as well.

Stopped in my local Gamestop yesterday and found a complete, like-new copy of Mega Man Zero Collection for the Nintendo DS. Snagged that puppy up. Also picked up a couple of magazines from eBay, an issue of Retro Gamer all about the history of PlayStation and a PS4 launch guide I believe is from the UK PlayStation Magazine.

- My Amiibo bundle came in.
How much did you paid for that Samus Aran ?, don't own a Wii U but am thinking very seriously to get a copy of her ;D
-
Picked up my pre-order for the retro 3-pack at Gamestop last Friday. Also bought a couple packs of the new Animal Crossing cards. (all have been opened after this pic taken)

From Goodwill & Amazon Warehouse, from check it every so often for a cheap Wii U Deal lol
Mario Kart Super Circuit $7.88 (AW)
Advance Wars 2 $2.99 (GW)
Capcom Classics Mini mix $2.99 (GW)
Castlevania Circle of the moon $2.99 (GW)
Tetris DS $4.99 (GW)
Sonic the Hedgehog GG (GW) $1.99
Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection $13.48 (AW) was "like new" came sealed, but I'm almost positive it's a reseal for some reason, feels flimsy. Doesn't matter since I'm opening it to play SotC anyway.
Vita care package from the Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin Target.
Need for Speed Most Wanted $9.98
Batman Arkham Orgins Blackgate $9.98
Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 $9.98
Had a friend pick these up at the Target near him. At the time these games were ringing up $5.98 at other Targets but were also not
anywhere near me so definitely still worth it at this price.
Pretty productive month for my Vita Collection overall, I'd say. Perfect time to get into the console too with the PSTV whitelist bypass exploit just released.

Target (at least mine does) has a handful of PSP games on clearance. Pretty cheap. Almost tempted to grab more, but I really don't have a huge interest in PSP. Don't even have a handheld lol They also had a couple PSVita games on sale for under 10 bucks.

Had some good finds this weekend from garage sales.
First my store/online pickups...
Amiibo
- 30th Anniversary Mario (Modern Colors) had to pay $40 to get this, but it's cheaper then $300 for another Wii U
- Classic Pack - R.O.B. / Mr. Game & Watch / Duck Hunt Dog
3DS
- Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson - Double D Edition
Now for the garage sales...
First find this week was a Fable III strategy Guide (sealed) for $.25c
XB360
A sale advertised Video games and when I get there I see a stack of crappy PS2 games and a couple systems all overpriced. But There was the official Microsoft Professional Steering wheel. This was a nice made wheel accessory. They had it marked at $30 but I was able to get them to sell it for $20.
Found a random Atari 2600 joystick for .25c
Hit a large community sale and out of 24 sales I only found one sale that had games. These where $1 each.
PS2
- Virtua Fighter 4
PS1
- Blues Clues: Blue's Big Musical (sealed)
- The Weakest Link (sealed)
After that community sale I raced to a sale that advertised Gamecube games, I stop there and the lady was just setting up. I ask about the Gamecube games and she said she didn't know where they where, come back later. I look around and notice a milk crate with gamecube madden game and tell her I think I found them. I look through and find only about 4 Gamecube games and some crappy 360 games. I only found one Gamecube game I wanted But I saw one other thing in the crate that caught my eye. She wanted $10 for it but I was able to get both games for $9.
GC
- Mission: Impossible
GBC
- Pokemon Pinball (BRAND NEW SEALED) :o
NDS
Stopped at a random sale and saw 3 loose DS games, 2 of them where crappy young girl games that I already had, but one was a good game. It was only $1.
- Super Mario 64 DS
At another random sale, I saw a box full of movies, TV shows and games. Many where loose disc games in horrible shape. But there was one I found in this mess worth getting.
NDS
- Escape the Museum ($2)
Stopped at a sale late in the day and saw a pile of PS2/Xbox games. and got this entire stack for $7.
XB
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
PS2
- Nanobreaker
- Kingdom Hearts
- Kingdom Hearts II
- Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories
PS1
- Final Fantasy IX
In another big community sale after many no finds, I finally see a table with games. A few PS2 & PS1 stuff marked .50c a piece.
I asked If they had anything else and the guy said ya I had some more he was thinking of selling. He brings out a small tub full of PS1 games. At .50c a piece here's what i got.
PS2
- Metal Gear Solid 2
PS1
- Syphon Filter 2
- Syphon Filter 2 (yeah he had 2 copies) lol
- Metal Gear Solid
- Tomb Raider III
- Rayman
- Time Crisis
- Spyro 2
- Star Wars: The Dark Forces
- Code Breaker
Stopped at a random sale and asked about games, the lady said she had a whole bunch and one was worth $15 she told me. She brings out a stack of PS2 games, and one 360 game. I asked which one she was worth $15 and she didn't know. So I offered $15 for the stack I picked out and she agreed.
XB360
- Game Party in Motion
PS2
- Dynasty Warriors 5
- Dynasty Warriors 5: Xtreme Legends
- Final Fantasy X-2
- Final Fantasy XII
- Xenosaga
- Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II (I'm guessing this is the one she thought was $15)
NES
Hit a random sale and saw a Nintendo Power Set box under the table, I quickly pulled it out and saw it only had the Power Pad, Styrofoam and other baggies inside. I saw a $10 price tag on it. I asked the lady about the system or games and she said she was keeping the system and games. So I asked if she'd take less because it was only the box, I even offered to let her keep the power pad. She refused to take less then $10. It was in a lot better shape then the one I picked up earlier this year so I paid her the $10.
And last the best pickup this weekend. I was having a bad day finding anything on Thursday, I was out for three hours and only found that Fable Guide. Was about to pack it up and head home when I saw a garage sale sign and followed it, At first I couldn't find this sale. So I was about to give up when I finally see another sign. I follow it to a subdivision in the middle of nowhere. I find the sale and walk up and see nothing but baby clothes and toys. I ask the lady about games and she at first told me no her husband still wants his 360. But then she said she had a Nintendo she doesn't use anymore. So She goes inside and brings out two tubs. I open the first and see a Wii and N64 stuff just dumped in this tub. She said she didn't want to sell the Wii, so I pulled out all the N64 stuff. I look in the second tub and see a fat 360 and NES stuff. Again she said the 360 was her husbands and she couldn't sell it (you can keep it lady) lol
I find not only one NES and two NES systems and several games and I saw at the bottom several NES games COMPLETE IN BOX! :o
I pull everything for the NES out and had a nice stack of NES and N64 stuff. I asked a price and she starts counting the games and tells me how many of the games are like new in their boxes. She quotes me $30 for the NES pile. ;D I asked what about the N64 and she said $40 for all. I was happy to give her two twenties. Here's all I got.

PlayStation
All nine Jampack volumes, all sealed

All volumes of PS2 Jampack including some variations between E-T and E-M

Darkness, the complete with light shelf wear
Persona 4 Arena complete like-new (Gamestop 4 for $20)
Dead Island Game of the Year complete with light shelf wear (Gamestop 4 for $20)
Nintendo DS
Mario Kart DS complete with light shelf wear/almost like-new except a few of those very light dust scratches on the front
Xbox One
Titanfall complete with light shelf wear (Gamestop 4 for $20)
Titanfall Collector's Edition new/sealed
Why did I buy Titanfall, let alone two copies of Titanfall? Well, the first used copy was because when Titanfall 2 inevitably drops on the PS4, I would have to drive myself insane courtesy of my OCD to own the original, even if I don't have a system to play it on. Hence why I own the Xbox versions of the Dead or Alive games. I love the premise of Titanfall and it is indeed one of the very few games that I would own an Xbox One to play. But at this point in time, the game has been mostly abandoned for other, newer titles so to even entertain buying an Xbone to play this game with ghost town servers would be ridiculous.
The collector's edition? Well, my local Gamestop had one in the back room and it is down to $118. The Titan statue is badass and I love me some hardcover artbooks. Artbooks of this quality sell for around $40 and that statue is so freakin' huge, it would sell for $100 itself compared to figures/statues of similar quality and size. So it was a fairly inexpensive way to get these two items, plus the big poster/map and a sealed copy of the game. I always feel like I am missing out with something like this. Where you get the sequel game, but the original is on a system you don't own and all the backstory, lore, goodies, artwork and everything that shows the hard work that went into the game is lost to you.

Yeah I snagged a Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee for $3 from my Target a week or so ago. Wish they had more (they had a couple others, but I either had them already or they were crap).
I picked up a few games for my collection from the Gamestop sales last week, but the pickup I'm happiest about is this:
A sealed copy of Torneko: The Last Hope for the PS1. I don't collect sealed, this one will be opened & played, but it was only a few dollars more (less than $10) than the closest complete copy on eBay that was described as "having some scratches & manual wear". Yeah, I'll take fresh & new for a few bucks more, kthankx. :P
-
^ I didn't even know that game existed. Is that the shopkeeper character from Dragon Warrior IV? Is it a traditional JRPG?
-
Held off for a while, but finally decided to purchase a Vita and some must haves for it. I'm especially happy about Persona 4 Solid Gold Edition, got a great deal on it.

I sort of lied a few weeks ago when I said I'd never go to another flea market. Last one of the year, what the heck. It ended up being a very SNES kind of trip. I think all I got was SNES games.
- Super Adventure Island
- Final Fight
- Plok
- The Combatribes.
- 7th Saga
- Gods
- Outlander
- Jim Power The Lost Dimension
-
So.... Umm....
Retropalooza was this weekend. I went a little nuts knocking stuff off of my list.

Ninja Crusaders is one of my favorite NES games.

Picked by Ni No Kuni (Black Label) after searching everywhere today. Went to 3 Eb games and posted on the local buy and sell video game Facebook group my city has. Don't ask me why but I sold the copy I had previously but I'v wanted it back ever since and finally got my hands on it :)

I have 23 left. I figured it up. Less than $2k and I can be done... Leaving out Stadium Events. Eff $8000 on one game. The biggie in that I have left is Flintstones 2.
The best part was that it was all money made from selling doubles I've picked up through the year. Fund that habit!

I have the game. It just says World Class Track Meet on the label. :P
I don't care if anyone else recognizes my set as a "Full Set". I just want it for me.

I was just messing with you. I don't think I could ever drop that much dough on a single game...unless I won millions in the lottery or something. Then, hell yeah...why not? In any event, you are close to that full set and that is one hell of an accomplishment. Congratulations.

Thanks! I got the Solid Gold Edition off Amazon from a third party seller. He wanted $100 for it complete and in like new condition so I went for it seeing how it's going for more than that on Ebay right now. I love Persona 4 and was dying to get my hands on it.
BTW. I LOVE your new avatar! Splatfest is worth it just to see the Squid Sisters dance and jam out. Much Waifus!!!! LOL :p

Haha yusss! I only play on Splatfest days now, mainly because I'm too busy but I don't want to miss out on these. I have never won one though :( I thought I was making a good decision by picking Autobots (I really preferred Decepticons) since the popularity was over there, but with the changes in score calculation, Decepticons ended up winning anyway thanks to skills.
Are you more are Callie or Marie guy? :P Still not sure I can choose between them haha. Both have fun things about them.

LOL that's funny because I have yet to be on the winning side of Splatfest and I've done them all so far. One of these days Karyann we will know what victory tastes like :p
