Title: Completely new app... for everyone?

I've been looking for a tool to use to catalog my game collection for a long time.  A friend recommended this site, and I have to say, it's my favorite of what I've seen so far.  I've also been reading about people wanting a mobile app, Matt wanting help with the Android app, no iOS version, etc.

I have a lot of experience with cross-platform development.  Given our collective "want list", I believe PhoneGap/Cordova would be a great platform to build on.  It would provide:

• Familiar technology (HTML, CSS, JS) so more can contribute.
• Access to the phone or tablet camera for rapid entry of items (either photos or barcodes).
• Runs on all platforms used by (normal) people, including desktops.
• Provides SQL based local storage and HTTP/WebSockets for syncing.
• Free and open, as long as we don't poison it with a "bad" plugin.

So who wants to design and then build the collecting app to end all collecting apps?
