Title: One of the coolest toy/video game crossovers ever!

I don't know how many of you guys are aware of or even care about this, but being that it involves video games and one of my favorite toy lines ever-Transformers-I figure I would post it.

Tomy Takara has released two figures (so far) of Optimus Prime and Megatron.  Instead of their usual transformation modes, Optimus Prime transformers into a original PlayStation and Megatron transforms into a Sega Mega Drive/Genesis!  I picked up Optimus and he should actually be arriving today by FedEx.  It's like a special birthday present (yeah...my ass is another year older today).  Check them out!

Those are ridiculously cool. I know had these come out circa 1997 my older brothers would have killed for them!

It would be really cool if Tomy could get Nintendo to license the likeness of their consoles for this.  Can you imagine a Game Boy that transforms into Soundwave?  They could have the Tetris cartridge transform into Laserbeak.  Pokémon Red & Blue could transform into Frenzy and Rumble.  Wario could transform into Ravage, etc.

Or how about Galvatron transforming into a N64?  The possibilities are endless....in a parallel universe where Nintendo didn't act like stooges about their intellectual property rights.  But they did make a Skylanders crossover so...who knows?   :P

Now is the true test plug them in and see if you can get them to play!!!!

Unfortunately, they don't play.  I don't know if the version I have coming includes it, but I have seen pictures of the Optimus Prime PlayStation with a game disc and the Mega Drive Megatron with a Sonic cartridge.

I would spend a good chunk of money if they can make a payable system like this

My Optimus Prime should be at my door when I get off work.  I may see about picking up that Megatron too...
