My question is that since the ESRB rated the Atari Anthology as E, then can we then assign that rating to the original released 2600 games that were featured in the release? The games are basically unchanged. I didn't know what the stance is on this and didn't see anything about that. Thank you very much and I welcome an answer. I didn't want to make a whole bunch of submissions and it the reviewer think I'm trying to spam.

Games cannot retroactively be updated in that manner. ESRB and other rating organizations did not exist when the games were originally released and as such are not rated. The same can be said about other platforms such as the NES. Games released on Virtual consoles have been rated by ESRB, but this new knowledge or classification cannot be applied the original release.
