Title: Help clean out "THE"

As many of you know, database entries cannot begin with the word "the."
I've gone through the database and found a boat load of THE games. I need help finding all the matching duplicates. If there is no duplicates, rename the item to follow the style guide.

If you plan on helping I recommend making a claim on a range of entries you plan on completing. This way people don't end up doing work that as already been done, and step on each others toes. Post your claim in this thread. Post your found duplicates in the official duplicate thread. Once you're done with your staked out games edit your post notifying everyone that your section is done.

That listing is for the AC Adapter to the Atari Lynx. I'm pretty sure that system had one given the absolute crappy battery life it had. haha
It would help if it had an image or something, because the title alone does sound a bit vague.

I fixed Cube Connector (former mystery item). FINALLY, someone put one of these up for sale. Mystery solved.
Also put in picture for the Lynx AC Adaptor.

woulndn't it be quite easy to code a verification when entering new objects so that if an object beginning with "The " or "the " is automatically forbidden? Otherwise just cleaning up the mess will not really stop the problem from occuring

Yes, the input could be sanitized. Same thing could be used for barcode entries to reject entries over x digits, and to remove spaces. I think tho, that the edit and item submit process would need to add a verify step, which isn't currently in place. Something in between submit and when the record is sent to the queue.

I'll grab a handful soon and get to it. I agree, Asmodean, if nothing is put in place to stop it, we're going to be forced to keep manually fixing it.

EDIT: You'll notice in my early entries I changed name and posted duplicate instead of just posting duplicate and not changing name, I stopped doing this a couple entries in as I realized I didn't have to edit name if duplicate was found. Just waiting for the changes to be accepted -
