It's tough for me to pick cover art I love.  I do like simplicity at times and a good logo, so in particular I love Ocarina of Time's cover because of that.  Same goes for the past few Final Fantasy games that have just the title and like soft art behind it on white.  Simple, but to me that looks interesting.

Classic Doom is amazing for sure.  A shame they pumped out a lazy one for the new Doom.

The Phantasy Star III artwork always reminded me of the 1950s-1970s science fiction pulp magazine covers. Classic.

Secret of Mana is a favorite of mine too, the players guide makes it look even more cool!

I would also say that Japanese games in general have the coolest art, there's so many great ones!

I decided to share this one. I'll never forget sitting in 7th grade (WHICH WASN'T THAT LONG AGO!) study hall and flipping through a game magazine and seeing this picture. I knew that I had to play it some day.

I actually just got this game last week, solely because of the cover art.
