Title: Is there a new way to Embed video?

I got it to work on the old forum but I can't figure it out now. Is it still possible?

I was looking into this last night too, after finding a youtube video I wanted to post. But couldn't figure it out. Kinda sucks that we are so used to using html on here and now we have to convert over.

One of the other forums I post on has a mod that adds bbcode for YouTube videos. It would look like this:

[flash]http://youtube url[/flash]

They're still running SMF 1.something, but I'll find out the specifics of what they did to get that in case it's compatible with this version.

I know another site matt and I used to run had an actual [youtube] code. You'd just use the brackets and the video number in between. I'm not sure if it was a plug in, or if matt coded something for it though..

Not the most elegant but take:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-YhYMUuAZw

and turn it into:

http://www.youtube.com/v/o-YhYMUuAZw

Then add the flash tags around it, [flash=640,480].

Just got word from the admin on the other site. He applied the Auto Embed Video Clips and Fix Message Empty Error For Embed Video mods.
