Title: What is your favorite Squaresoft/SquareEnix game?

Mine is Kingdom Hearts closely followed by Final Fantasy X and Super Mario RPG :D.

Hmmmmn.

Used to be Kingdom Hearts.

Now it's Bravely Default/Bravely Second.

Unless games they just publish count.

In that case it'd be Rise of the Tomb Raider.

It's a tough pick between Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy VI but because I can only have one favorite, I would say Final Fantasy VI.

I'd say Final Fantasy Tactics. I've replayed that game more than any of their other RPGs. But I'd say Dragon Quest VIII Journey of the Cursed King is pretty close up there.

SaGa Frontier for Squaresoft.

Valkyrie Profile for Enix.

I'm not sure about after the merge since I played so many of them. For now I'll go with Star Ocean V since I'm currently playing it.

Einhander on PS1. A fantastic shoot-em up with a great style, and fantastic soundtrack. And I love the steal the enemies weapon game-mechanic.

As for RPGs, it's gotta be Chrono Trigger. I played it on SNES. I haven't played the updated versions.

Parasite Eve.

Here we have a rare instance where someone took a Japanese horror novel (great read by the way. Very subtle horror that saves all the crazy weirdness for the end) and continued it's story in a great video game. After the first one it kind of became it's own beast in 2 and even 3rd Birthday wasn't that bad storywise as long as you understood the story as a whole and keep in mind it was more of a spin-off alternate timeline than a true sequel. Saying that I'd really like to see a real Parasite Eve 3 one day.

Final Fantasy VI, without question.
Also FFIV, FFVII, FFIX, FFX, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Dragon Quest VIII.
Wait, wasn't Actraiser by Enix? If so, that too.
Never been a fan of Kingdom Hearts.
