Game collection series games are all over the place. Should we put the series before the game title or after? Here are some examples.

I am thinking collection series should be at the beginning of the title, and the game name after. What do you think we should do?

My 2 cents. Its all about the title of the game, not the serie Sega or NeoGeo gives it.
This one, Psikyo Shooting Collection Vol. 3: Soul Divide & Dragon Blaze, looks ok to me, because it are two games, thus a collection.
The last one looks like it should be called (i can't read that), Valis Visual Shuu, and the other text can go to description.
Edit,
looks like i do the same, but i usually follow what already in the db

And then there is this http://vgcollect.com/item/54856 (http://vgcollect.com/item/54856) 4 in 1 game, but no game title in the title.

I also think the collection series name should go first, then the game name after. If we do it the other way, the games will not be next to each other, and will be all over the place in the database. I feel with such a complex name, that might be the best way to prevent people from creating dupes.

Did we ever end up deciding what the format would be for this? I kinda want to start going through the PS1 [JP] and PS2 [JP] and fix the Simple 2000 and Simple Characters 2000 Series.

Hm, I can go either way with it... I think the game name is often the title folks look for, but for organization purposes, it's nice to have them all together.
Personally, I think if it's part of an anthology/collection, have the series come first.
Otherwise, it gets a little tricky. Even just looking at the Shin Megami Tensei series, the games themselves have started to drop the SMT branding in the newer games. Persona 4 Golden doesn't have it on the box, but the original Persona 4 does. Persona 5 doesn't seem to have it on their box front either...

I think that any series that has a volume number, such as those listed in my first post, should have the series first and then the game name. For series that do not have a volume number, it should have the game name first and then the series, which we primarily do already.
