Title: What cell phone do you currently use?

Mine is the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Gold :)

Works well enough, though I recently started to notice how it seems like my GPS just doesn't work inside a lot of buildings and I don't know if that is my phone or the service for T-Mobile. My phone also doesn't seem to work on highways, which is frustrating on the two trips I've taken recently. Might consider a new one, maybe something Samsung or just the LG G5 perhaps, not sure, it's another pricey buy even if I do the two year payment plan.

Post by: emporerdragon on October 01, 2016, 10:50:11 pm: Just a cheap little Trachone, an LG35. It works for me as I have little need/interest for games and apps on my phone. And at with service only being $7 a month, that leaves plenty more spending money for my collections.

They're elusive, like Bigfoot, lol.

I don't have a true smartphone, either. But that's because I'm cheap and can wait until I get home to my computer for using programs and such (and I work in front of a computer).

I have a Tracphone (pre-paid minutes), their supposed "smartphone" model. But really, all you can use is their specific, crappy apps, you can't use the apps that you actually want to use on a smartphone. And it's touchscreen, which I thought would be a nice upgrade, but I find myself missing actual buttons.

I miss the customizability of Android, but I love my SE. It's the only small phone on the market that has flagship specs on the inside. In 2 years if Android has a similar offering or the SE line is ended I will go back to Android, but for now the SE is the perfect phone for me.

The Tracfone I have is a full android 4.1 Smartphone. Plus they sell sim cards to convert other smartphones to Tracfones. It sounds like you got something like the 305C, which, while having a touch screen and the triple minutes option, is not an actual smartphone.

Wiko is VERY slowly making its entrance in the Netherlands, and from what I could gather it's a popular brand in France. Nobody I showed it to has ever heard of it though.

I really like it though! I've been using it for about half a year now. It has great specs, seems fairly durable so far and is pretty affordable for the given specs. It uses a slightly modified version of Android, but you get used to this fairly quickly. Overall, I'm definitely happy with it.

Since I've used both Droid and Apple, I'm thinking that I'm ultimately on Team-Droid. I like how sleek and streamlined the iPhone is, but there is too much I can't do with it. Once this iPhone has ran its course, it'll be back to a Droid. Hopefully it won't cause any fires.

Work phone is iPhone. My Apple makes me want to punch my fist through a wall when I use it. I love the Windows phone interface, but the apps and games for iPhone.

I'm rocking an iPhone 6s and I'll stay with an iPhone for a long, long time.

I was an early Android adopter. I had the first Motorola Droid they came out with. The apps were buggy and there were all those back doors with keystroke recorders. The Android marketplace has too few QC restrictions. It's too easy for stuff to get in.

The memory is tiny, it crashes constantly, it resets itself constantly, it's slow, and virtually no modern apps are supported on it. Never got to play Pokémon Go while the fad was still a thing. Seriously the memory is so small I have to delete apps just to be able to update anything and I don't even have many apps to begin with. And if not all my apps are updated it won't give me any notifications for any apps. And doing the smallest little things can make it crash. One thing that comes to mind is that it crashes for a while whenever end a call. I also can't hang up myself because the screen won't unlock while I'm in a call so I have to wait for the other person to hang up. And don't get me started on trying to watch YouTube videos when my phone's in a bad mood. Christ almighty.

I'm just waiting for my contract to run out at the moment so I can finally be free.

Edit: Oh yeah and another favourite feature of mine, it sometimes crashes when my alarm goes off and the alarm is really really really loud so I have to try and cover the speaker with my thumb (the speaker is wider than my thumb) while I wait for it to work again so I don't wake up everyone in the house. Fun times.

Edit 2: Oh and if I spend elongated periods of time using it (by elongated I mean like 20 minutes) the whole thing tends to heat up to temperatures that are literally unsafe for me to hold. I've singed my hand on the thing before trying to use it after it got hot. It burns my leg when I put it back in my pocket. I don't know how the hell the circuitry doesn't melt when that happens.

I'm guessing Sony doesn't know how to make a good phone. I used to have a Sony Xperia Ion and it...was awful. It did just about all of that stuff you're talking about with your phone. Another thing to mention was that the camera was shit.

Maybe, yeah. My camera's a load of wank too. Doesn't help that the protective ring around it has fallen off and allowed the plastic over the camera to get wrecked though. The front-facing camera can not physically get a picture that isn't pitch-black and the rear camera is better but still really low res.

Note7 recalled, so my wife and I are discussing what phone to switch to. My preference is going back to my old Note 3 because the VGCollect app works on it, but on the other hand I want a new phone. We are talking about the S7 Edge, as well as some cheaper options like Note 5, S6 Edge+, or something else.

That's true, I keep forgetting that, deal breaker for me, not for her though as long as she can have a 64GB internal storage.

I just really wish the VGC app would let me login.
