What are some of the games in your collection that are so awful you will most likely never play them but somehow they are still in your collection? lol. :D
Mine is Sammy Sosa Softball Slam lol. :) Let's all laugh at it's expense.

DT Racer (PS2)
Superman (N64)
Tranformers Beast Wars Transmetals (N64)
-
Probably Superman for N64. I do echnically own some FMV games for the Sega CD that I've removed from my collection, which in my opinion are some of the worst ideas ever pressed to a disc.
-
Toxic Crusaders - NES
Other than being related to the Troma universe there is nothing redeeming about this game.
Vector Racing - 3DS eShop
A slow and frankly boring racing game with awful design, and because of the wireframe visuals the stereoscopic effect on the 3DS is not even noticeable.

I have a few really bad DSiWare games, like Snakenoid, System Flaw: Recruit and WarioWare: Snapped.
(http://images.nintendolife.com/games/dsiware/snakenoid_deluxe/cover_large.jpg)(http://images.nintendolife.com/games/dsiware/system_flaw_recruit/cover_large.jpg)(http://www.mariowiki.com/images/5/5c/WarioWare_Snapped_logo.png)
I have plenty of DSiWare titles, but these three really stick out in my mind as the worst ones by far. Snakenoid is incredibly monotonous and pretty tedious, and System Flaw: Recruit and WarioWare: Snapped! are just straight up broken and borderline unplayable.
Another downloadable title that comes to mind is the WiiWare game Bloons.
Easily the most tedious and frustrating game on here. The goals are WAY too strict and hard to get, especially for a game like this (I can't even get past level 2!), and the overall gameplay isn't fun in the slightest. Even the free Flash version is WAY better than this pile of garbage.
One retail title that immediately comes to mind is Game Party for Wii.
Without a doubt the worst Wii game I own by far. Essentially a minigame collection, but a bad one in every way. It's mainly hampered by it's controls. The only game that controls OK is the Trivia game (which is just point-and-click). All the other games control awfully. The controls are incredibly unresponsive in general, and range from too stiff on games like basketball to too twitchy on games like table tennis. Other games like ping cups and darts are frustrating because no matter what you do you'll never hit where you aim (darts often land on the other side of the board). To top it all off, apart from the games being bad, there are so few games in there that you'll be shutting it down and booting up something else in 15 minutes tops, because by then you would've tried out every game on there. Sure, the minigames have unlockable extra modes, and PAGES of Avatars to unlock (rather than, oh I dunno, USE MIIS), but who cares when the games aren't fun to play? When your minigame collection is so bad I consider booting up Wii Music again instead, then you know you've reached a low point. Definitely the worst retail game in my collection.

For me it's probably the PS2 games that came with the ebay bundle for the PS2 Slim that I bought. Mountain Bike Adrenaline and Monster Jam. They were probably decent, maybe, probably not, back when they were more modern, but now they are fairly unplayable for me. Monster Jam isn't terrible really, but compared to Monster Truck Madness I used to play on PC, it's got little stand impress with. Probably won't last in my collection though they aren't really worth anything.
-
I try to steer clear of crappy games, but even I myself have fallen privy to a few pretty cruddy games
Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots
(http://vgcollect.com/images/front-box-art/25553.jpg)
The game itself isn't awful but the co-op mode ALWAYS freezes. Apparently it does on everyone's Wii copy from what I've researched.
Ninjabread Man
(http://vgcollect.com/images/front-box-art/25509.jpg)
This is one of the most objectively awful games ever, it's got three levels and it took maybe two hours to beat 100%, but I have a soft spot for this mediocre pile, that's why it remains in my collection
Mario Party 10
(http://vgcollect.com/images/front-box-art/61840.jpg)
I might get some hate comments for this, but it's just a mediocre cash grab in my opinion. The game's winners feels completely randomized and the boards and mini games are pretty uninteresting to boot. If I didn't think I was going to go for a complete Wii U collection someday, I'd sell it.
Starsky & Hutch
(http://vgcollect.com/images/front-box-art/66098.jpg)
It's just not a very good game. It might do something for you if you're a fan of the tv show and movie but overall it's a pretty bad game. The only reason I keep it is because it's not worth anything. I might just donate it, as I often do with games I don't like.
Stargate
(http://vgcollect.com/images/front-box-art/10496.jpg)
The movie sucked, so does the game. Need I say more?
-
Probably this:
http://vgcollect.com/item/47203
To be fair, it's not really game, it's a programming tool. But yeah, it just generates colors. It's pretty rare, that's about it's only redeeming quality.
-
Official releases only?
In my case, "King Neptune's Adventure" for the NES. It's awful.
-
I've got tons of them as I'll actually buy horrible titles just to say I have them.
I've got great games such as:
SNES:
Mario is Missing
Shaq-Fu
N64:
Superman
Blues Bros. 2000

Aquaman
Finding Nemo

I'm still missing the best worst game out there though: Captain Novolin for the SNES. It's an absolute garbage platformer about a superhero whose only power is super-diabetes.
-
Probably Superman for N64. I do echnically own some FMV games for the Sega CD that I've removed from my collection, which in my opinion are some of the worst ideas ever pressed to a disc.
If you are interested in selling those fmv games let me know in pm. :)
My worst games according to the internet:
Night Trap - 3DO
Dr. Jekkyl & Mr. Hyde - famicom
Superman 64 - N64
Shaq-fu - SNES
Actual worst games I own in my personal opinion:
Hell - 3DO
Brain dead 13 - 3DO
Chuck Norris Superkicks - Colecovision
Heart of the Alien (Out of this World Parts I&2) - Sega CD
Hmmmm, what else...
*runs off to go check*

-
I loved Bart vs the juggernauts.
Harder than piss though! (But I've beaten it)
-
I picked up Crash Boom Bang recently, I only played it briefly many years ago but I vividly remember being quite confused. Man, it actually upsets me how bad it is. Easily one of the worst games I've played in a while, especially considering it's part of a long running franchise.
-
Quest 64, but it's more mediocre and tedious than outright bad.
The combat is interesting in theory, but it gets boring really quick, and the magic barrier you get later completely breaks the game.
Then there's the dumb enemies. Special mention to the Frog Knights who completely miss you as long as you stand still and range 'em.
-
Here are some of mine:
Arc the Lad: End of Darkness (PS2). Good lord this game is insulting to the Arc the Lad series. It took a fairly solid strategy RPG and turned it into generic, action crap.
Eternal Eyes (PS). It's not that it's bad, but it's terribly generic. There is nothing original about it and it's boring AF.
Evergrace (PS2). Same deal as Eternal Eyes, but I wasn't expecting much from it since it was a launch title.
Seven Samurai 20XX (PS2). Frequent slowdowns, lame characters, terrible music and not fun.
-
Oh man I have so many games guess I'll list one each system I feel are horrid.
Atari 2600:
E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
Superman (Picture Label)
Game Boy:
Stop That Roach
Game Boy Color:
Mary-Kate and Ashley: Winners Circle

Ghostbusters

Haze
PlayStation Move Bundle
Sega Dreamcast:

SNES:
Pit-Fighter
Xbox 360:
DECA Sports Freedom
Just to name a few I own.
-
the worst game I have every played in my life (and still own) is Labyrinth for the DS. just about everything about it is absolute garbage. controls suck, maps suck, idea sucks, hit boxes are garbage, graphics are 8bit - 16bit but all designs are very simple boxes with a start screen that is supposed to be an anime character of some sort. its just trash and wasn't worth the 50 cents I spent on it.
if I wasn't a collector and bought that game new I would have returned it (which i have only done once before on venetica)
-
I think the one that is the worst is Captain Planet on the NES. I'm sure there are other stinkers, but that one comes to mind right now. I can't get past the first level. The hitbox seems like it's 1/4 of the screen.
-
NES: AD&D Heroes of the Lance
Jaws
Karate Kid
Winter Games
PC: Voyeur (seriously, the whole point of the game is to be lucky enough to watch the right video clips at the right times)
PS1: NBA Shootout
Genesis: Pit Fighter
Double Dragon 3
James Buster Douglas Knockout Boxing
SNES: Justice League Task Force (extremely mediocre superhero fighting game)
Road Runner's Death Valley Rally
Wolverine: Adamantium Rage
-
Jaws
Karate Kid
Road Runner's Death Valley Rally
I know this is an opinion thread; but I take a little issue with some of your choices, especially Jaws. Jaws is not a bad game. It's simplistic and repetitive, but not bad. The controls are responsive, the sound fitting, and the graphics are on par with the average NES game. It's not the best game on the system, but it's definitely not bad.
The other two? I just have a soft spot for Karate Kid and Road Runner. ;)
-
I could list hundreds of bad games in my collection.
But personally i love to collect them. Lol
I will sometimes host a bad game night. Players have to play a bad game of another players choice and have to beat at least one level in it, play for X amount of time or complete a task in the game. It gets a lot of laughs and fustration.
If they complete the task they get points. If they fail or give up they risk loosing. Lol
I always give new players the CDi zelda games. Most cant pass the first level area i give them. Lol
Superman 64 is also a guarantee win and also my pick of one of the worst games ever made.
A lot of flack goes to ET as the worst game and i agree its bad but its at least playable. I have beaten ET but never superman 64.
-
Lol most of my ds "not 3ds" is pretty bad got a lot from a mom and the ds was her daughter's I could not say no to boxed ds that was only played hand full of times but now I got classic's like.
Cory in the house
Hanna Montana the movie
Deal or no deal
High school musical
Suite live of zack & Cody
-
I have lots of bad games but one i never wanted in my collection is Portal runner for the ps2.I hate this game and swore never to own it.
A Friend bought it for me as a gift, before giving it to me he made me promise never to get rid of it.Now im stuck with it forever.
-
Peter Pan: The Motion Picture Event on GBA, blegh.
-
Sonic 06 on PS3. I didnt believe in how bad people said it was until trying it myself. I dont onow how my wife had the patience to make it as far as she did in her playthrough.
-
GB
Dr. Franken 2
PS3
The Cursed Crusade
Never Dead
Ride to Hell: Retribution
3DS
Langrisser Re:Incarnation -TENSEI-
-
Dawn of Magic 2 is the worst game i played...
mmocake (https://www.mmocake.com) is the best mmorpg game marketplace
-
Blues brothers snes cover is pretty ok
CDi zelda's 3 of them
-
I have a few bad wrestling games that I got for the sake of my wrestling collection. Games like WWF Wrestlemania and M.U.S.CL.E. for NES.
-
Would like to say that none but the true is that I own two of these bastards being the first one Athena for the NES and Mighty No. 9 for the 360 :'(
-
Most the games that I think are outright bad, I usually quickly trade away. So I really don't have any.
But I do have games that I thoroughly enjoy, that others think are bad. Games like Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Viking: Battle For Asgard, King's Field, Super Mario Bros. 2 (U.S.), and others.
-

Can I say Wait and What also Why ?, I know the thread mention the worst games and you got this opinion about SMB2 which of course is valid but the gameplay of this title isn't that bad, not if you compare this one with Athena which not only the gameplay but also the hit detection, the music and the stages totally suck, that's why I asked the first three questions ;D

Re-read that sentence. I don't think it's bad. Other people do.

Damn it was my mistake, that's what happens when someone is at work and it's supposed to be working not writing :P

Mighty Number 9 Wii U version
-
Before you read any further, I have barely games that I don't like because I only buy games if I'm relatively confident I'll enjoy them.
But one of the least favourite games I own that comes to mind is Red Dead Redemption. Probably wouldn't say it's a bad game, more just mediocre. However I'm not kidding I when I say I think it's the most overrated game ever. Poor shooting and controls, awkward lighting in some areas, excruciating cow herding missions, few characters I gave a damn about Finally I couldn't care about John reuniting with his family throughout the story because I had never seen them so I had no attachment to them, and John didn't seem to either. And when you do finally meet them they're not particularly likable. I could go on, but the real kicker is that everyone seems to think this is a masterpiece.
-
I bought Hong Kong 97 at a con over the summer. It's pretty bad but so entertaining I kind of like it.
-
The Da Vinci Code on the PS2. It's so awful I like to pretend I don't own it, so it's not catalogued in my VGC and it's hidden away in a closet somewhere in my house. :'(
-
Most the games that I think are outright bad, I usually quickly trade away. So I really don't have any.
Ditto, gaming stuff you don't want is gaming stuff you do want when traded in.
One title which I hate, I'd sooner have a tooth extracted via my bum than play it again, is Call of Cthulu on the Xbox. It's collectible and it's horror so I wanted to keep it in my collection, but I couldn't do that (at least I thought not) without having beaten it, even though first impressions were that it was poo. God, hair-pullingly awful it was. Still, managed it, kept it.

I have this game too I have never played it so I didnt know it was that bad. Good thing it was only 1$ lol.

is it as bad as lost: Via Domus? that game was terrible nothing fun really happened to keep your attention. in the first 10-20 minutes of the game the slow moving lost sign happens no joke like 10 times and you cant skip it. Controls were bad, voice acting was bad. it was one of the most linear games that had potential for open world I have ever seen. just feels like a cash grab by ubisoft.
-
SpinDrive PingPong lol I haven't played it in SO long but in my memories it's barely playable!
-
Jaws
Karate Kid
Road Runner's Death Valley Rally

Well, when compared to the other games I own, these are some of the worst. Like others have stated in the thread, I tend to stay away from bad games and a number of the bad ones I own were not bought by me (for example, Heroes of the Lance was a gift).
Both Jaws and KK are, IMO, exceptionally mediocre.
And I included Death Valley Rally because it is among the most frustrating games I own. And believe me, I wanted so much to like it and gave it chance after chance. It has great graphics and presentation, but in addition to iffy hit detection, it has among the worst level design I've ever encountered, sucking all the fun out and making it a chore to play.

That one is VERY easy for me!
Heavy Nova, on the Mega CD!
