Title: More guestions
Post by: jjfly on May 19, 2017, 06:44:30 pm
1. I own boxed version of Android/IPad game Zombie Burbz Avenue (Includes figurines which unlock unique characters and levels). Since I couldn't find smartphone tag can this be added under other-tag or are phone games off limit on this site?

2. I own few games that have symbol of heart in name (For example: I 'heart' dogs). How do this site represents symbols in game names?

We currently do not support mobile/smartphone games.

Ok, but what about symbols in game names (They are PC games not mobile games).

Seems like we've been using "heart" spelled out, like in games like this:

That is interesting. It is not standard, see:

But I "Heart" Geeks is shown as its name in the copyright block on the back of the case.

I think this is one of those someone somewhere makes the decision as to how the game is pronounced and such.

We Love Katamari is referenced as such.  Not many references as We Heart Katamari.  Same as how I Heart Geeks is not referenced as I Love Geeks.

Calling either one the other name would be incorrect.

Well no, "I Heart Geeks" is the title because it says it on the box for that game.  Same with We Love Katamari.

EDIT: I want to add that neither of these are great examples. There certainly are other games where unofficial titles are more well known, such as those Japanese games with the star in the title. But then in those cases, the star is not a word replacement per-se.
