Title: If you had to liquidate your collection down to 100 games what would they be?

If you had to liquidate your collection down to 100 games what would they be? If you can't manage 100, 50 would suffice.

Hmmm might take some time, but I'll come back and edit this until it's 100.

Question: can I play other games outside of this list? Just not own them?

That's a hard question. How would you play them exactly if you didn't own it? I always thought owning the game had some holy element to it or the person regarded it highly.

Oh, I was just wondering if the question was more like "If you could only have access to 100 games for the rest of your life, which would they be?" But if it's just a matter of owning only, it'd be a different answer for me, I think. Some great games are digital only or there are games I like but I don't need to own (but would be happy to borrow from a friend or rent).

That was tougher than I thought :D.   A lot of games I love I don't have yet, and some games while good and fun aren't worthy of my top 100.  I feel this list gives variety of games I like from my childhood and recently. :)

Definitely don't have the time to list them individually, but they'd definitely include my favorite games of all time and a few must haves on the various consoles I have. I'd probably sell everything from the 3rd and 4th gen that I own since these are easily emulated.

Don't have the attention span to compile a detailed list. It would consist of my favorite games and as many collections I could fit in of said games, since those are singular entries.

100 games is a big list. 

I'd have to start with getting rid of the game games that I have multiple releases of.  Did you know I have 13 different releases of Super Mario Bros?  That's a little out of hand.

It'd be pretty easy to knock out the systems that are easily emulated, if you wanted to bypass wanting older games.

Super Rough list.  Eventually I was just throwing in games because I recalled liking them.  This list could probably be smaller.  Not including any digital games because do you really "own" them.

I'd leave out Melee and Brawl if it weren't for the side content.  64 had no side content IIRC.

I enjoyed just driving around and hacking things in Watch Dogs.  It's a gameplay mechanic that I rather enjoyed.  I also really liked Aiden Pearce.  Little to no personality with strangers and out for vengeance, my kind of bad ass.  Watch Dogs 2 was in general a massive improvement over the original.

I wouldn't say I'm passionate about any of these games necessarily, but if I had to narrow down games down to just 100 games, these are probably the 100 games I'd choose to own.  This is also entirely based on games I have actually played.  There are a shit ton of games I own that could make their way onto this list whenever I finally get around to playing them.

- Worms (doesn't matter which of them, as long as it's 2D)

- Need for Speed (I think "Hot Pursuit 2" was most fun)

Not stuck on a island scenario. Just 100 games you would keep if you had to liquidate the rest. What do you mean by multiplayer you mean split-screen function?

If you have to liquidate your collection you would probably have to sell all them games kinda a dire situation, also not to mention that allot of the games that are some of your favourites while not always expensive sell pretty well wich is another factor you will most likely not end up with all your favourite games if you don;t have to sell everything that is, 100 games is still a big amount to keep after a liquidation, I would personally think 10 - 20 max games is a more suitable number to keep after a liquidation.

I'd make sure to keep my Pokémon and Starfy games as those series are my top favourites, and the other games I'd keep would probably mainly be those I haven't completed yet.
