A long time friend and I recently sat down and beat TMNT 4 on SNES. We plan on beating Contra 3 or Lifeforce on our next session. What are some of your favorite 2-Player Simultaneous games? I have a big snes preference but am limited to the nes, snes, ps1, genesis, and saturn consoles.
Fighting games are out. As easy as it is to say X-Men vs Street Fighter on Saturn ;)

Goof Troop is barely playable without a 2nd player. A heck of a lot of fun!

Kirby Super Star has a co-op mode that enhances the base game. Played trough it with my bro a time or two

Mystical Ninja is a great game, one or two player

Pocky & Rocky Probably my pick for my favorite 2 player SNES game

Super Bomberman is a great entry in the Bomberman series. There are like four of these on the SNES and a newer version on the Switch

Super Smash TV is probably better in the arcade but the SNES version is the definitive home conversion.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors A must own for SNES collectors. Incredibly fun game.

Imagine a 16-bit Mario volley. That sums up Sanrio World Smash Ball.

Not far at all. In fact, you can spend most of the game with the second player if you make the right choices.
1. You'll be captured by goblins. The girl will free you from their base.
2. Meet the girl in Pandora's Castle. She'll agree to go with you as long as you continue to help her look for her boyfriend.
3. Instead of heading to Gaia's Navel, head to the Haunted Forest. You'll come to an obstacle that requires an ax. The girl will relinquish and suggest going to Gaia's Navel after all.
This can be done within the first hour or so of game time.

Sunset Riders for SNES/Genesis is a good one too. Expensive cart, but also available on PSN for download. As far as PS1 there are many but the ones that come to mind are FUTURE COP: LAPD & Gauntlet Legends.
