Quick question, is there a reason why we have a new thread started every month? Why not just have a general "pickups" thread?
At this point it's sort of a tradition. I kind of like keeping them separate since it's easy to find specific months when stuff was picked up.

I think a general thread would get too bloated and harder to follow or keep interest in over time. Besides, it's not like the monthly thread are really clogging up the forum.

Scored these tonight for about half of what they sell for on ebay. I've wanted the FF7 figures for a long, long time, and this was actually the first time I'd ever seen them in person. The employee at the store I bought them said they had the Cloud Motorcycle statue, but it sold a day or two earlier, which was a bummer. Regardless I'm super happy to finally add these :)

They have this event every year and I'm still shocked I find good stuff every year.

I stop at a sale and talk to the guy running it and he tells me he has a bunch of video games in his attic, I tried to get him to go find them but He didn't want to. I was about to leave when he says I only knows where some Gamecube games where. I stop and tell him to please bring them out. He comes back out with a large box and I open it and see its full of Gamecube games and PS3 games. :o
I ask what he wants for the games and he says $2 a piece. I bought all the Gamecube games but passed on PS3 because they where all junk. All games where like new in great shape. Here's all the games I got.

This was the last find of the day, I stop at a sale late in the day. By this time I wasn't finding much and was about to call it a day.
I see a bag with a box sticking out of it. The box had Funcoland written on it. This got my attention and I look inside and see two NES systems and a bunch of games. I ask about it and she tells me one of the systems don't work and the other see wasn't sure. I ask a price and she says $15. Games and controllers alone are worth over that. I'm really surprised it sat on the table so long. Here's the list of games.

Now onto the Garage Sale finds...
First this week was slow for sales in my area, it was cold and rainy. I was out and hitting as many as I could but wasn't finding much then I find an ultimate score.
First I find a Supa Boy (portable SNES) at a sale for $10.
Then after much of nothing I stop at a sale advertising "Video Game Consoles" They had a SNES in box but wanted $100 for it. :-\
They had a Xbox 360 and a bunch of scrap games, nothing worth buying for me.
This guy was a Collector and knew values for the most part.
I ask if he had anything else video game and the guy points and says "I have that portable computer over there." I look thinking I was going to see a laptop but saw a huge metal box with a handle. Wasn't sure what exactly I was looking at, I walked over and took a closer look and almost S**t my pants. It was a Commodore SX-64. :o
This is the first "portable" computer ever made. (the thing weighs close to 25 pounds) I ask a price but he tells me he's not sure what it's worth and he starts looking it up on Ebay. (oh crap) He finds one selling for $300. I look it up and see what he found was an open bid that hasn't ended yet, there was also one with a buy it now for $700 he didn't see. I ask if I can test it out and he's fine with that and we plug it in. He had one game to go with it and a Joystick. I boot it up and the game runs great. I tested it out and everything worked fine.
After a little talking he agreed to take $160 for the system and $20 for the game and joystick. I don't think I'll ever have another chance at this piece of computer/gaming history again in this great of shape for any cheaper so I had to get it.
The one game it had was...
- H.E.R.O.
So after many hours of finding next to nothing, I find one of the rarest computer/gaming systems. When this first came out it cost close to $1000.00 in the early 80s. It sold poorly and only under 10,000 where ever sold. It was discontinued after a year on the market.
So now I can take my Commodore 64 on the go. lol

Been after some more backwards compatible 360 titles, Very Pleased to have MGS HD Collection which was only £1! Same with X-Com, though I don't know if that one is BC. I ordered Lost Sphear online, it's a game I've been curious about but unsure on but finally dropped to £10

I ask a price and she says the one thing I hate to hear. "I haven't looked it up to see what it's worth" oh-oh... I ask her what she would sell it for right now. I never got this mini arcade and then all the Targets in my area sold out. I finally find it at a Target out of town and just picked it up.

Okay, this last game has to the rarest game in the PS4 collection. (at the moment) This has such an odd story behind it I had to get a copy. From what I understand the game was up for pre-order on April Fools day and the site to order it was super shady. On top of that the company releasing it is called Limited Rare. They even steal the font of LRG's. I guess only 84 people ordered it before the site shut down. Then on their twitter they say they where shut down and out of business. From what I find out I guess Sony got wind of this and shut them down. Those who pre-ordered it had no idea if they just got scammed but a month later they got their games. I find out about this way after the pre-orders shut down and I was on the fence about paying a high price to get a copy. But due to the story and weirdness of this game I had to get one. I find a seller who would sell me a copy for about half what people want for it now. I had to jump on it. It might be the Stadium Events of PS4. Then again a few months from now another 800 copies hit the market and I over payed for it. lol

First day out I find there wasn't much in sales in my area. Maybe due the the holiday?
I find there's a town wide garage sale event going on about 20 miles away. I think maybe I can find better stuff and not have as much competition. But I get there and I see the same resellers I do in my local area. They had the same idea. :-\
I try and get ahead of them and only find ONE game the whole time I was there.

The guy pulls a bag off a table a and hands it to me and says "It's all yours for a dollar!" I look inside and see CIB Genesis games and some controllers. :o
I just hand him a dollar and didn't even look what was all in the bag til I got home. lol

He starts asking me what it was worth and I don't see anything that great and I tell him its all commons and nothing rare or valuable. I ask a price for it all and he just puts it back on me. I tell him the best I can offer is $10 just for the NES games and explain to him about I'm taking a chance the systems don't work so I can't offer much for them. He says I could have the whole tub for $20..... I just pay the man. lol

Team Sonic Racing is the biggest purchase - Finally a racer to which I can play Split-Screen & Online with! Worth getting if you play Co-op.
Fable Anniversary - Been after thsi for a while, finally got it cheaper.
Spyro Re-ignited - ... I said I wouldn't get this due to the abysmal distrubtion (1 game on disc)... but I got a good deal *sighs*

I just got Gato Roboto for Switch, which appears to be a cross between a Metroidvania and Blaster Master where you play a cat piloting a mech suit. It looked super adorable and I may actually be able to get the GF to play it.
