All your input is welcome. I made this for us to read the reviews of others. And for those who completed the challenges. To look back on their thoughts on the games they've beaten, and blogged, or wrote about.
This is a look back at our community 52 year video game challenges. Even though I personally haven't done any yearly challenge yet. I am inspired to make this thread. So those who did this challenge can easily look back on some of the games they played, and reviewed in the past years (or current year thread) and for our forum guests to find a good review section.
so this is the best place in my own opinion to read reviews of games from this entire forum.

I mostly go to metacritic to et a general idea of how good a game is. As long as there is no internet campaign to destroy or promote a game, I typically put more stock in the user aggregate score. The obvious reason for this is the aggregate score is obviously inaccurate as to the game's real quality when hundreds, if not thousands of people are intentionally review bombing a game. I also tend to ignore these user review scores for the first few weeks since it's a bit hard to review a game that's literally been out for a day, much less a few hours.

Don't care much about reviews. Better to watch someone play the game first and make up your own mind about it.

I would much rather trust a review from you guys than from a website (Kash's wonderful site excluded of course ;) )
Also we did the challenge in 2015 too but it isn't listed here. I keep links to my old challenege lists on my old posts in those threads anyway

Usually video reviews on Youtube. I dont really care for gaming site reviews tbh

I might read a review or two but I usually just play a game and decide on my own what's good and bad without the influence of what other people have said.

I only really watch Youtube reviews and Destructoid has been fairly on point for me in general, but also handy to have all the 52 Games Challenge threads linked as I have gone back to them to try and remember what I thought about a few games since my memory can be kinda trash lol

Well SNES Hub at www.playingwithsuperpower.com has 197 thoughtful reviews on SNES games (and looking for staff writers too!).

My go to site for game reviews is Easy Allies, they basically have very similar tastes to what I look out for in games, grew up with the same types of games, get excited for the same type of game announcements (see Shenmue III and Resident Evil 2 Remake). Great knowledge of games with a fun sense of humor.
Some review sites just take this hobby way too seriously imo.
