I'm hovering somewhere around zero.
There's absolutely tons of great looking games coming up next year. Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Last of Us 2, Ghosts of Tsushima, Doom Eternal, Dying Light 2, Ori and the Will of the Wisp, and that's just me thinking of stuff I'm really looking forward to, not the stuff I'm just casually interested in or waiting to hear more on.
-
8, maybe more.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Cyberpunk 2077
Dreams
Ghost of Tsushima
GhostWire: Tokyo
The Last of Us Part II
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated
Watch Dogs Legion
-
Last of Us 2
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Psychonauts 2
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2
Tales of Arise
the System Shock remake.
Mostly sequels and remakes, but doesn't make them any less awesome.
-
A few, for sure:
Cyberpunk 2077
Ghost of Tsushima
The Last of Us Part 2
Doom Eternal
Breath of the Wild Sequel
-

MY ENTIRE LIST!!!!!!!!!!

The Elder Scrolls VI
Bethesda used to be my fave developer but Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 were really bad.

I'm hovering somewhere around zero.
I'd actually say the same- not becuase there aren't games coming I want, but becuase years of delays & cancellations means I don't get properly excited for most games anymore- I think Scalebound is the one that really did the hype in.
Now, as for games I'm interested in? The current list is the FF7 remake, the Trials of Mana standalone, the Crystal Chronicles reboot, Biomutant, Rock of Ages 3, Dreams, & that Babylon's Fall thing that just got teased. Subject to change as new stuff gets announced & more information for other things comes to light.
With the new console cycle coming, I suspect this will be a bit of a light year, save for Switch games. It's pretty safe to assume anything remotely major in development now is going to be at least cross platform with the new systems.
-
I haven't thought much about it, but taking a brief look in the list of games confirmed to be released in the near future, I'd say that the only ones that caught my attention were Streets of Rage 4 and the remake of Panzer Dragoon...
-
Possibly only Cyberpunk 2077, but I'm not sure if it will be something I will buy when it comes out.
-
Actually a lot right now
- Cyberpunk 2077
- FF7 Remake
- Vampire the Masquirade: Bloodlines 2
- Resident Evil 3
- Predator Hunting Grounds
- The Last of Us 2
- Doom Eternal
- Street Fighter V: Champion Edition
There are several games further down the road with no release dates that I'm also hyped for, but everything aboce is just from next spring.
-
Granblue Fantasy: ReLink
Granblue Fantasy: Versus
Darksiders: Genesis
Final fantasy VII remake
Ys Memories of Celceta
Ys IX Monstrum Nox
Anything Dragon quest or Neptunia
BioMutant (should it finally release like 200 years later)
Dark Alliance
Marvel Avengers
FF Crystal Chronicles

Elden Ring
Marvel's Avengers
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II

Truth be told, the only two titles I can think of that I'm actively looking forward to is Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Sports Story.
However, these titles have piqued my interest, and I'm definitely keeping an eye out for them when they release.
:: Ooblets
:: Way To The Woods
:: GhostWire: Tokyo
:: Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2
:: The Last Of Us: Part II
:: Yakuza: Like A Dragon
:: Sable
:: Little Nightmares II
:: Oddworld: Soulstorm
:: Bravely Default II

I'll most likely camp in a tent for TLOU 2 lol. I'm extremely excited for it.
Also
1. Wolf Among Us 2
2. Cyberpunk 2077
3. Halo Infinite
4. Hellblade 2
Although 2 of those are still a ways away in next gen.
-
Elden Ring
Doom Eternal
That's pretty much it.
-
Final Fantasy 7 remake so far. haven't heard much I could be excited for. other than new consoles
-
Four of 'em:
Trials of Mana
Mega Man Zero/ZX Collection
Ghosts of Tsushima
Tell Me Why
-
Doom Eternal!!!
Animal Crossing!!!
Resident Evil 3!
Diablo IV!
I'll keep hoping for Metroid Prime IV but that's looking like a 2021 game.
Exclamation!!!!
It does seem kind of dry right now though. When summer rolls around and all those fall 2020 games get announced it will be the opposite I'm sure.
-
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Axiom Verge 2
- Psychonauts 2
Although I might pass on Cyberpunk 2077 as my pc is a laptop and the Switch is most likely not going to get a release. Still hoping for a delayed platform release like in the Witcher 3 case.
-
Doom Eternal
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition
Resident Evil 3
Tales of Arise
Ghost of tsushima
Yakuza remastered and like a dragon
Oh and NO MORE HEROES 3

I'm quite chuffed to finally have a PS4, but quite frankly, while there are some nice games coming out, Final Fantasy VII Remake is the only upcoming game I'm truly, most excited for.
-
Dead Island 2. Been waiting for years...probably won't happen at this point...but I'm not interested in anything else.

I want "Goddamn Superhero" lol I was actually getting super excited at whatever crazy anime nonsense that was looking to be and then it just turned out to just be No More Heroes 3. Super big disappointment lol

The game was assigned a new developer August of this year so at least it isn't cancelled?
Seems like it should be Dead Island 4 by now. The first developer worked on it for 4 years and the second developer worked on it for 3.

I mean, just go play Dying Light if you haven't and this is an actually serious comment lol It's basically the sequel to Dead Island and the next game is out sometime in the next 6 months I think. I can't imagine what they'd even do to make Dead Island 2 stand out compared to Dying Light or what state it'll be in after being in development hell for so long.

Yeah, I've played Dying Light. Didn't really care for it that much. Still would rather have DI2.

Totally fine in wanting it, and not trying to be rude here, I'm just surprised that anyone is still holding out for Dead Island 2 at this point, when Dying Light is already the Dead Island sequel that is way better than the previous games and made by the original devs of Dead Island lol They could've slapped Dead Island 2 on Dying Light and no one would have even second guessed it.
-
Just DOOM Eternal. Castlevania or trauma center will never get another game.
-
Me personally, I just got a Playstation 4 for Christmas. This wasn't expected, nor was it on my list of things to get. I'm not ungrateful, but now I have a game system that I have have to get games for now.
I'm not so much looking forward to new releases as I am looking to building up my PS4 collection. Right now, my focus is on getting those titles that are the most affordable like the sports games & titles that were released near the console's release date. Here lately with all the bugs that have been in some of the games such as WWE 2K20, I'm not so sure that paying $60.00 for a brand new game is the right thing to do. I hate to take the clothes off of a game developer's back, but there's no harm in waiting a week or two after a game's release to see how it is.
The good thing about WWE 2K20 is that the price sunk like a stone from its release date to the Christmas shopping season. I might wait to buy it when it gets down to about $9.99. That way, I can boot it up & watch the characters rubber band between the ropes & do some squat walking.
-
I've found that I'm more excited for remakes or reboots of older games or the actual classic games than I am for new ideas. There are exceptions but they are few. Here's what I'm looking forward too:
- Ghost of Tsushima (only new IP that has my excitement)
- FF7 Remake
- RE3 Remake
- Streets of Rage 4
Then I'm looking forward to the PS5 launch.
-
I can add Resident Evil 3 Remake to my list of games I'm excited for. I'm kinda trying to muster up interest in the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot game, but I'll probably wait to hear how that one turns out as another run through the DBZ story isn't sounding all that great, but not sure if the general gameplay experience is gonna be enough to hook me in even as a fan.
-
Yeah, me too. I'm interested in DBZ: Kakarot, but the prospect of it being just a "new" game retelling the same old story doesn't particularly make me want to get it on day one. I'll most likely wait until it goes for like $20, if I'm being perfectly honest.
