Do you guys think I should be sad,mad,both sad & mad at the same time at Soyny for backstabbing us otakus & the weebs & our communities & for what all for Puritans,normies,SJWs/npcs & feminists or do you guys think I should just laugh at Soyny?
Those of you guys who are either fans of,former fans of Soyny & most of all those of you guys who are otakus & weebs like me & Raging Golden Eagle you guys will understand what I mean I mean PlayStation HQ was at Tokyo now it's at Commie California & now they are thinking of moving HQ to EU wtf what the hell. & as you guys guessed it Soyny have been backstabbing us otakus & the weebs & our communities & worse of all backstabbing their business partners & for what all for Puritans,normies,SJWs/npcs & feminists & well Soyny we otakus & the weebs won't be there to save your sorry asses again like what we otakus & the weebs did for PlayStation 3.
I want Soyny to go broke,I want Soyny to go bankrupt,I want Soyny to die already & most of all I want PlayStation 5 to flop hard real hard as a harsh & powerful lessons to learn that you should never backstab your true fans,never backstab your true customers,never backstab your true customer base,never backstab your true fan based & most of all never backstab your business partners. Before any of you guys ask me don't worry sooner or later I will get even more into pc gaming & leave consoles & console censorships :).

Considering how Japanese culture is so much different than the West, I have no expectation that any games brought over will be left intact after localisation. Sony and their publishers, like most companies, are doing what they can to survive in the toxic internet world, where a wrong word or behaviour can bury a company. Honestly, I would figure that eventually Sony will just not bring certain things over from Japan. The best bet is to play the Japanese versions instead if you do not like the localisation.

On topic, Sony and Nintendo have been censoring games since the NES and they've been doing fine so I don't expect things to change much personally. That's just me though.

While there could be something said about unnecessary censorship that we see Nintendo and Sony do at times, it's a super overblown issue. Sony will be fine with the PS5, even if a few people are upset that some skin was covered up a little more or some scenes and dialogue were tweaked. I know I'm still buying a PS5 because the good games matter more and Sony still has them.

Well, I am not actually sure about what games are you guys talking about, but if I remember well, these niche Japanese games usually weren't even published in the West up to just a few years ago, so players should be kinda glad for having them (even if with some kind of censorship) available in the first place.
Now, if a game is being censored for portraing misogynistic themes, for condoning with sexist, homophobic or xenophobic behaviour or for depicting female characters as mere objects that exist only for satisfying men, I think that Sony (or any other company for that matter) shouldn't approve it to be published on their platform anywhere in the world...
However... I consider myself to be a #feminist, a #commie and, more than anything, a #SJW and, despite living in Japan, I'm (gladly) far from being what one would consider an otaku and I have to admit that this was the first time I've ever seen the word weeb (I had to google it) so maybe I'm not the right person to comment on a post like this...

I think it's 'sony put up a comparatively strict content policy & that's somehow an attack on their fanbase?' I mean- really? I am an otaku/weeb/final fantasy fan gamer type, but I dont think, say, not being able to rub objects between a girl's tits in Omega Labyrinth is a freakin' personal attack!
Whether you like it or not, ecchi is niche, & cutting content increases distributors & sales. If you must have cartoon boobs, buy a switch & set up steam. There's always gonna be someone ready to sell this stuff to you.

Don't know if this is proving to benefit Sony in the end, or not, but it does come a somewhat of a surprise to see them choosing to moderate content rather than Nintendo. I will say though, that once again it only demonstrates the western mentality of sex being obscene, while gratuitous violence will get a pass. Remember how up in arms America was over Grand Theft Auto having a hidden sex scene in the game? Think of the children.... playing M rated games.

Oh yeah, it's definitely dumb- what, they really think some mom's gonna see Senran Kagura Peach Ball and go 'yep! That's perfect for lil Timmy!'
I just attribute it to regular ol' corporate dumb instead of some malicious attempt to drive away a large chunk of their customer base.

I don't agree with the removal of partial nudity, (especially in a Teen or Mature rated video game) and what does a child do when they see partial nudity anyway? chances are they won't even care. But sex on the other hand I mean "Gran Theft Auto" is rated "M" for mature it should be expected in an M rated video game, M is targeted at young adults and older. The west overreacts too much.
For those who are adults don't want to see any nudity. can't the developed just give the option to skip the cut scenes? or just play a different video game?
But I don't even play games with nudity in them so, It don't matter to me because and I don't watch porn, so

Personally i think a lot of censorship is due to hypocrisy on a lot of company's parts.
I will prefix what i'm about to type by saying:
I play 18+ Japanese porn games
I play western games like GTA, 1st person shooters etc
I play japanese games like Neptunia, Star Ocean etc
I play pretty much anything and everything regardless of age rating, and genre
Let's take a games like Neptunia RPG as an example of a japanese game that has been censored.
Neptunia RPG was censored on Playstation but not Switch.
Sony's reasoning for this was something along the lines of the usual things we see 'they LOOK like children' and 'we didn't feel the scene was NECESSARY to keep without censoring'.
Now let's take a game like The Order 1886
This game is an 18+ rated game and has full frontal nudity. However this seems to be fine when a company wants to put out a game that uses arguably photo realistic graphics.
For those confused as to what Sony removed from Neptunia RPG.
They removed cleavage, (not full frontal breasts) where all the characters were covering their chests to begin with.
And they cropped an image of one of the characters playing a game with her legs crossed and you could see her underwear.
The part i don't understand is that both Nintendo and Sony have given Neptunia RPG an age rating on 12+ at least in the EU.
The point i'm trying to make here is that PEGI system didn't need to change the age rating for the game on either console, despite Sony going through the lengths to have their version censored.
So why did Sony even bother?
If the game was going to get the 12+ age rating anyway, why did they feel the need to crop off images and censor things?
Self censorship. Pointless self censorship at that.
However games like GTA 5, The Order 1886 and a plethora of other western games get 16+ and 18+ ratings with anything and everything they want added in. However god forbid we have a 'cartoon character' that LOOKS like a child have her panties showing.
I've made this argument before, but if someone LOOKS like a child does that mean that they aren't allowed to do adult things even if they're of age?
When i was 19 i got stopped from buying scissors at a WHSmith because i didn't LOOK over 14, this was despite me having identification in the form of a passport.
Does this also mean i shouldn't be allowed to drink, have sex or smoke because i LOOKED young. No, no it doesn't.
Sorry if i get a little heated on this topic, but i've been stopped doing a lot of things because i LOOK a certain way. My bf used to get funny looks from people because they thought he was dating a minor, when really i was in my early to mid 20's and he was in his early 30's.
What i'm getting at is just because someone LOOKS a certain way, doesn't mean that they ARE a certain way.
Japanese art styles in anime, is a contentious topic for a lot of people, and i understand that.
You're right, at times they do look like children doing adult things.
But A: they may not be and they just look young
And B: they're cartoon drawings that don't look like real people.
Now i;m not saying Sony should bring 18+ Japanes porn games to their console and neither should Nintendo, but what i am saying is that a lot of problems lie with self censorship out of fear of backlash, and i don't think that should happen with art, music or gaming.
