Picked up Star Trek: Encounters for the PS2, which is something I'd never heard of before.
Huge Star Trek fan, tried to get into that one. It takes more effort to understand what the game wants from you than it's worth. And the controls are a mess.
Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force was something you could just jump into and play. Why can't more Star Trek games be like that?
Star Trek: Shattered Universe was another that was easy to understand, and had a great Mirror Universe story. But dang were the enemy ships bullet-sponges. You were just pouring phaser blasts and torpedoes into them for like 10 minutes before they'd go down. If it wasn't for that I would have loved the game.

I've always had decent fun with the flight combat Star Trek sims, but they've definitely been varying degrees of quality. I'm planning on getting back to a Star Trek game marathon that I started a couple of years ago, but I ran out of stuff to play at the time.

Mostly getting Nintendo64 games from local stores but I am mostly disappointed, most games have a replacement sticker of really low quality or the games are more full of dust than the secret movie theater from Ion Storm Studios.
After a good alcohol cleansing everything works but some repairs feels necessary.

I know a lot of people like him, but I can't stand Metal Jesus. So much of his content is others explaining how great a certain game or console library is while he just sits back, smiles, nods, and collects the youtube ad revenue. His take on PC stuff and console games here and there are solid, but his over use of the term "hiddem gem" is super obnoxious. I guess it's a bit of a subjective term, but I've played many of the hidden gems he recommended and 90% of the time they're mediocre to pretty shitty. When you realize he's just throwing together a list for the clicks it makes his channel even more unwatchable all things considered.

I think starting next month I might actually start posting my pickups again. I continually pick stuff up, but since my focus changed from collecting to actually playing my games I just haven't been motivated to take pictures and post what I've picked up. I kind of what to change that and will probably just create a pile of games I pick up over the course of the month and do a Flea style post where I just lay it all out no matter how large or small my pickups for that month are. I actually picked up some pretty cool stuff this month between ebay, black friday, LRG and some stuff I've picked up at retro game stores. Maybe I'll pull some of it and take pics, but even if I don't next month I will start to contribute to these pickup threads again :p
